Antique English 19th Century Soft Paste Porcelain Jug or Pitcher with Gilt Trim English antique soft paste porcelain jug from the mid 1800’s. The ornate soft paste jug is a beautiful lavender-blue and white and features two allegorical scenes on the side panels in relief. One scene depicts a woman holding a Caduceus. The staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology, and a child sitting on her lap as two young children pull her carriage. The second scene depicts a woman in a carriage being pulled by two dogs as a putto with baskets of flowers hovers above her. A simple border that terminates in a shell form, surrounds both of the scenes. The front of the jug depicts a tree. There pitcher is accented with brilliant gilt trim and decoration throughout and the front of the pitcher has a decorative gilt monogram on the front. The jug is unsigned ... moreand unmarked. There is a bit of faint gilt loss, particularly on the rim, lip of the spout and on the acanthus leaf handle. EXQUISITE c1840-1860 GOTHIC ENGLISH SALT GLAZED PORCELAIN PITCHER/EWER
EXQUISITE c1840-1860 GOTHIC ENGLISH SALT GLAZED PORCELAIN PITCHER/EWER Presented is a very fine English salt glazed porcelain pitcher. This piece dates to circa 1840-1860. The pitcher is very ornate and very Gothic in style. The exterior features figures of saints or clerics standing in arched alcoves. The top of the handle has two faces of stately bearded men. One facing in either direction. The whole piece is very reminiscent of a cathedral, and may even be modeled on the design a specific cathedral. The overall effect is as though a cathedral had been wrapped around the exterior of the pitcher. The interior of the piece is done in a high glaze, and is completely clean and useable. This piece is in near perfect condition. As one of the photos shows. There is a slight discoloration on one of the faces on the handle. This is not to be considered ... morea flaw, as this is original to the manufacture of the piece, a result of slight impurities reacting when fired in a kiln. There are no chips, no breaks, no cracks, and no problems whatsoever. This piece is approximately 10 1/2 inches tall at the highest point. Good luck and bid with confidence. ANTIQUE 19TH C ENGLISH COPPER LUSTRE PITCHER MUSTARD FLORAL BAND PORCELAIN MINT
AN EYE-POPPER COPPER FOR COLLECTORS! New debut listing for collectors this week comres this genuine 19th c English Copper Lustre Pitcher in a medium size with good shiny lustrous patina and a wide body neck band of mustard with floral swirls and an elegant flange handle.all in mint mint mint condition. Early 19th c British factories in the Sunderland region pumped out this shiny attractive glazed porceliain in tableware forms as cheap souvenirs for fair goers and to brighten dark cottages covered in blackened coal soot.ever seen the stone row houses in the working class district of Yorkshire? Covered by an exterior layer of coat dust from heating they sure could use some bright touches of copper lustre inside! British porcelains have always been highly collectible and I just found this one this past week just for you. Dear Shoppers, as perhaps ... morea nice Easter gift, from an eastern Pennsylvania farmhouse. The Pitcher measures 4.75" in height with a well formed pour spout and solid round base with high flange handle all in perfect condition after all these years and travels it has been through. Please see the pictures to see the detials of this lovely antique piece. No cracks. No harlines, no chips.all I see is on the main body, are two small areas of glaze blush slight discolor in the firing manufacturing process that are inhereent to the piece in the making. It has always been this way as copper lustre finish does not degrade over time, it remains exactly the handsome patina of lustre, it was born with the day it was made. This example has lovely bright shine for an early period piece, the base is fully glazed over, and unmarked, just the way the circa 1800's items were. Lovely Pitcher will mail via Priority with insurance included well bubble wrapped in sturdy box to one sharp eye SHOPPER with an eye for COPPER. Please bid actively during this freelist period when I can keep opning prices down. After this, I have to raise to cover fees. Please see my other Copper Lustre Pitchers on offert his w

ANTIQUE ENGLISH PORCELAIN PITCHER WHITE & BROWN WITH GILDING - FINE CONDITION
Very pretty English porcelain pitcher in lovely condition. Brown floral design on white. May be what is known as transfer ware. There are a couple of tiny glaze pops on the body about 4" below the spout.barely noticeabl e. I don't see any cracks or feel any chips. On the bottom of the pitcher is a rather blurry maker's mark that reads"Porcelaine Opaque. Trade Mark" then a blurry coat of arms below which is a word I can't make out, and below that is the word"England" Please refer to the last photo for a view of the entire mark. This would be gorgeous with a bunch of flowers in it. Or displayed in a pitcher collection.

6 Piece Vintage Porcelain English Pitcher & Bowl Set
Up for auction is a lovely wash stand set. The set has a tray. Drinking glass, candle holders, pitcher, and bowl. There is a hair line fracture on one side, it doesn't go across the bowl and the bowl still holds water, but there is a line, all other pieces are in mint condition. This is a nice large bowl and pitcher, the bowl is 15" in diameter and the pitcher is 10+" tall. The set has no marks, so I don't know if the story about it coming from England is true.
