Mustard Yellow Ware Pitcher Kitchen Stoneware Vintage Pottery Primitive Antique
Great Primitive Yellow Ware Pitcher I have had this pitcher for a very long time. Its time to let it go. The pitcher if very heavy and a bright shade of mustard yellow. I think the third picture shows the true color of the pitcher the best. No cracks or chips. There is crazing throughout the pitcher and glaze lines. The handle looks applied and the base is ribbed. It appears very primitive due the crudeness of the pottery. Meaning there are a lot of pottery lines and unevenness. There are rough lines inside the pitcher. These are not cracks but from the pottery making process. A really pretty pitcher. Measures: 8 1/2" tall Base is 4 1/4" Width is about 8" including handle and 6" without the handle. Weight of pitcher: 3 lbs 5oz No identifying marks. If you thump the pitcher with your finger the ring is a thud meaning it ... morewas most likely made in the US.

Antique Yellow Ware Pitcher and Four Mugs Green Grapes Shield Embossed Motif
You are bidding on an antique yellow ware pitcher and mug set. This is in really good shape for the age of the item. Please view all photos carefully. It is the most beautiful green glaze I have seen on items of this style. It has a shield motif embossed on the front and back. The height of the pitcher is 8 3/4" tall by 8 1/4" across from spout to handle. The top diameter is 5" and the bottom diameter is 6" The mugs measure 5 1/4" H by 5 1/2" across to handle with a diameter of 3 3/4" There is a hairline crack and small glaze chip on the rim of one of the mugs(shown in photos) I also noticed a few other small chips on the mugs. The pitcher has a couple defects. But all of these imperfections are minor. There is very little crazing on the item. If you need more pictures, let me know. It is rare to find a ... moreset in this good of condition. So bid now this won't last long. Please ask any questions before bidding and take a moment to view my other items up for sale.

Antique Victorian Spongeware Water Milk Pitcher Stoneware Yellow Ware
Offered is a vintage 19th century spongeware water or milk pitcher. It has a serpentine top rim with a raised floral decoration. Heavily crazed. sponged with blue and rust. It has one 1/2" chip on the inside rim near the spout, a 3" hairline from the top rim down, and a spider along the bottom. When tapped on the side, the pitcher has a nice ring, is as solid as the day it was made! I've provided as many photos as possible. It measures 7 1/4"T x 4 3/4" at the base, 6"Wide at the handle. This piece is a genuine antique, unlike most of that modern reproduction blue& white spongeware seen on eBay. It has been in my family for at least 3 generations. I'm selling many collections due to illness. Check my listings for more antiques& iron. That have been off the market for decades.

Antique 1800-1849 Rockingham Yellow Ware Brown Earthenware Peacock Pitcher
Antique Rockingham Pottery Antique Rockingham Pottery(circa late 1800's) ~LARGE YELLOW WARE PITCHER/JUG- PEACOCK MOTIF~ 8& 1/4" tall; 6& 1/2 by 5" in diameter across top; 7& 1/4" from spout to handle; base about 6" in diameter; holds 64 ounces. Raised Relief Mold of Peacock and Tree Branch. Beaded upper and lower ring. Brick wall" design encircling the lower part of the pitcher with a column design running up to the spout. Yellowish under-glaze covered by dripping dark brown glaze. Magnificent design! Some history on this Rockingham Pitcher: Rockingham is highly-fired earthenware or stoneware. Generally with a buff to yellow paste and a brown mottled and streaked glaze, often characterized by patches of the vessel’s body showing through. Rockingham is generally not felt to be a specific ware type; ... morerather simply a type of glaze applied to yellow, buff or(rarely) white-bodied ceramics. Rockingham is typically characterized by relief molded decoration. Rockingham glazed vessels were inexpensive, mass-produced wares of the mid-nineteenth to the early twentieth centuries, manufactured in both England and North America(Claney 2004:xiii) The original use of the term Rockingham can be traced back to the late eighteenth century in England. Around 1770, the Swinton Pottery developed a rich brown glaze for white earthenware that quickly became popular and eventually came to be known as“Rockingham” glaze(Cox and Cox 1983:108) The famous brown earthenware glaze discovered by the Rockingham pottery was imitated by many potteries and made its way across the Atlantic to be used on many decorative and utilitarian pieces from a variety of U.S. potteries, the most famous of which was at Bennington, Vermont. Excellent Antique Condition: No chips. Cracks, nicks or repairs that I have been able to detect; there is crazing that can be seen on the bottom interior and exterior.
