Antique English 19th Century Soft Paste Porcelain Jug or Pitcher with Gilt Trim English antique soft paste porcelain jug from the mid 1800’s. The ornate soft paste jug is a beautiful lavender-blue and white and features two allegorical scenes on the side panels in relief. One scene depicts a woman holding a Caduceus. The staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology, and a child sitting on her lap as two young children pull her carriage. The second scene depicts a woman in a carriage being pulled by two dogs as a putto with baskets of flowers hovers above her. A simple border that terminates in a shell form, surrounds both of the scenes. The front of the jug depicts a tree. There pitcher is accented with brilliant gilt trim and decoration throughout and the front of the pitcher has a decorative gilt monogram on the front. The jug is unsigned ... moreand unmarked. There is a bit of faint gilt loss, particularly on the rim, lip of the spout and on the acanthus leaf handle. There is a tight ¼” hairline on the interior where the handle meets the body and another 1” tight hairline on the bottom rim. The hairline does not go into the interior or prevent water storage. A small amount of paint is missing from the back of his head. The second mug is a miniature and measures 3 3/4 inches high and has no visible defects. Antique Wedgwood Imari porcelain pitcher jug 1800’s
This listing is for an unusual flat sided Wedgwood Imari style pitcher. The base has a design registration mark for the year 1877 and a production mark BBE for 1876. There are a few tiny pinprick size holes in the glaze and some wear to the gilt on the handle but otherwise it is in good condition for 137 years old. These Japanese imari designs became popular after the international exhibition in London in 1862.The design consists of a dark underglaze blue and dark red stylized flower highlighted in gold. The pitcher measures 6” tall. 2 ¾” wide and 6 ½” from back of handle to tip of spout.

Vintage F. FERRI Bologna Italy Silverplate and Porcelain Claret Jug Pitcher
OK. I'm a bit at a loss here since I've never sold(or seen, for that matter) a claret similar to this one. It has interesting art on the porcelain lower with wonderful stamping on the bottom rim of the silver-plate. It is a F. Ferri with both the porcelain and the silver-plate bearing the maker's mark. The Porcelain bottom reads: FERRI" over"MARMACA" The bottom rim of the silver-plate top reads: F. FERRI- 80" I have not determined with any certainty it's date of creation. All I can say is that it is a striking beautiful piece and it's age was less important to me when i purchased it than the fact that it looked wonderful. This is a very beautiful antique porcelain pitcher with its unique designed handle and hand painted or transfer dark pink roses. The pitcher is very old. Has crazing and a surface crack on the inside of the top as seen in the photos. The crack does not appear to be all the way through the porcelain. This is a very beautiful unique antique piece with cherries on the handle. The gold is worn in several areas. It has a mark of Austria on the bottom. I have seen a vase/ urn online with the same design and handles with the Royal Carlsbad Austria mark. Please refer to the photos for additional details. This pitcher is 6 1/4 inches high at the top of the handle. It is a"pelican jug" shape. The decoration is blue on a cream color body. But the handle is dark green with some traces of gold. It is in great condition. In the last picture I tried to show one area where the glaze is bumpy, but I believe it was in the making, not damage as it is smooth. There is no mark of a maker.

This unique vintage porcelain fish shaped jug has very fine details. An open mouth spout, and a handle formed from its tail on the opposite end. It measures approximately 6" long from handle to spout, by 2 3/4" at its widest points(side to side) by 3 1/2" at its tallest point. I am not sure of its maker, but it is a very unique piece nevertheless. It is in very good condition, and has no chips, cracks, or damage. Very unique piece for use or a collection!
