The glass bowl is one of the nicest that I have seen. It has fabulous Enamel Decorations, of leaves and floral detailing. It measures approx 12-1/2" diameter. It is in Excellent Condition- I would call it perfect albeit a most minor flat spot on the rim that appears to be a manufacturing nuance, not damage. I have looked at this with a magnifying glass and it is obvious after observing this first hand that it is not a chip but a flat spot somehow done during manufacture. Although extremely difficult to view, I have a pic of the area shown in my last pic. The frame is in Excellent Condition. Made of Quadruple Silver Plate by the Wilcox Silver-Plate Co. It stands approx 10-3/4" tall and approx 12-3/4" across. Both the decorated bowl and the Silver-Plate frame are gorgeous. The item comes direct from the collection of an area advance collector. Sold to me when settling her estate. The underside of the bowl bears a sticker that either she attached or was the sale price back in the day. The glass bowl will be packaged and shipped in a separate parcel from the silver plate frame in order to assure as best one can safe delivery. Victorian Antique Silverplate Silver Plate Brides Basket Glass Liner 1899
Beautiful Victorian antique brides basket. Silverplate frame with lovely aesthetic scrolling pattern on the sides and handle. Beaded edgeing. The art glass insert is milk glass with shades of purple on the ruffled border and clear glass edging. The silverplate is monogrammed- looks like G and HW and dated 1899. Made in Canada by the Toronto Silverplate Co. The basket measures 10 1/4" across the handle and 12 1/2" high. Very good condition with no chips or cracks. Minor age appropriate surface polishing scratches on the silverplate. I will be happy to give shipping quotes.

An ornate Victorian silver plated and monogramed Brides basket by early English maker Edward Pairpoint Bros of 1854. Beautiful etching of flowers. Leaves and butterflies. Half ball beads decorate throughout the outer and inner borders and the handle. Monogramed"MMC" in the center. Height with handle up: 10.75" length: 12.5" 4 old English marks total. From left to right. We are pleased to present this Victorian era Bride's Basket for your consideration. Made of Silverplate. The piece features an unusual Crowned Heads decoration around its ornate rim. The handle that once went over the top of this ... morepiece is missing(the holes where it connected are still visible) But the remaining Fruit Basket remains a charming and attention grabbing piece with a one-of-a-kind look. The Basket is 3-3/4 inches high and about 12-1/2 inches in diameter. Measured at the rim. The bottom of the base is 4-5/8 inches in diameter, and the Basket weighs 1 pound 13 ounces. There are two hand written marks etched into the finish. On the bottom, in the center, is what appears to be the numbers 247. To the side of the center section is another marking that reads Q5741. We have not been able to determine the manufacturer of this piece. The Basket has been polished and is quite shiny. But small areas of patina remain along with a few small spots of verdigris. Some light surface wear is found, but less than might be expected on a piece of this age. Other than the missing handle, there is no damage or repairs, and we rate the overall condition as very good(see pictures) This is a fantastic piece of Victorian Silverplate. This basket is an early Aesthetic Victorian era Basket produced and plated by the Reed& Barton silversmiths of Taunton. Mass. The silver craftsmanship is excellent. This basket is supper ornate in ornamentation and has gorgeous molded figural elements. Including three winged heads on the pedestal base where it meets the bowl and curled acanthus leaf feet attached to the pedestal base with a central spire. There is an outstretched Fox and bird prey on the handle. The interior of the bowl is adorned with deep chased birds on an Oak and acorn branch that is entwined with Grape vines with clusters of grapes. There are ... morealso chased leaves on the pedestal base and four large spires pointing down from the ribbed edge of the bowl. This basket stands approx 7" in height with the handle down and 13" with the handle extended. It is 10" in diameter and stands on an ornate 5" pedestal base. The underside is marked for Reed& Barton with a Patent date of 1871 for the ornamentation above the Reed& Barton stamp. There are no breaks or repairs. There are some scratches from use and some slight silver loss to be expected from age. There is also some remnants of an old type paste silver polish. This is a silverplate Bride's Basket from 1848. I've had this item for awhile and its about time it deserves a proper place, meaning it would best served to be used by an intended bride.fits the occasion as"something old" to walk down the isle with if its your cup of tea. This basket has no makers mark except a small"M" embossed on the inner rim of the base(see last picture) however, look at the craftsmanship of the hinges and chase work, this item was well made and crafted exquisitely for its time(the hinge work is very impressive) looks to me like typically New England craft of the era, the basket is embossed on the bottom side already with initals of the gift giver and the initials of the couple(see picture 2 and 4) as for the silverplate, it needs to be polished and it would be stunning, has a small ding on ... morebottom rim(see picture 8) which can easily be repaired, Ive have done nothing to it so to maintain its integrity as a collectors piece, the way I found it is the way you see it. The holder on the inside of the frame has some sodering on it has no effect on the intregity of the stand. There are 3 rings on the bottom of the stand which could have originally had a chain on it. This silverplate bride's cake or pastry basket is one of the items they produced around the 1880's. It is marked: Meriden Silverplate Co. Quadruple Plate with the Meriden maker's logo and numbered: 01602. Aesthetic etched pattern on interior bowl portion with stylistic leaves and flowers. Border is repousse flowers. And leaves. Welcome. While cleaning& organizing, I came across this beautiful Victorian brides cake basket in silverplate by the Barbour silver co. This one is a scalloped oval shape with a bright cut design inside& lots of ornate features, especially the handle& the footed base. It measures 8 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 3 3/8" tall(without the handle up) About 10" tall with the handle up but it doesn't stay up very well. It's a little tarnished but I don't see any loss of the silver plating on it. It weighs right at 2 lbs. without the packaging. It will be sent insured.

It has four pierced feet with much decoration, berries and what looks like tiny oak leaves and at the top of each foot it looks like a half of a campus leaf. If you include the handle laying on the side. It is 6 5/8" Tall. If you stand the hand straight up, it is 11" tall. The width is 9 1/4" wide. There is a Victorian etched pattern in the center of the basket. There is some silver plate loss from age and there is a slight bend on the base if the foot. A heavy. Very ornate Victorian silverplated brides basket, manufactured by Derby Silver Co. of Derby, Ct. The basket, on four swan decorated legs, stands about 5 inches high, and measures 9 3/4 inches in diameter. As you can see, the inside and outside of the rim is very decorative. For sale is an elegant Victorian period ornate-handled quadruple silver plated brides basket holder with a clear fancy glass bowl. The basket is in good condition: There are no dents or damage. Other than some scratches where the bowl and basket have been in contact for more than a hundred years. The silver plate seems to be all there; it's tarnished but should polish up well. The basket is 9" high and 9 1/4" at its widest. The bowl has an intricate design, including four rows of diamond shapes that have a gold cast to them. The bowl is 8" across and is in excellent condition: No chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. Inside the bowl behind the top row of gold diamonds looks like hard water stains; however it's all the way around, so it I believe it must have been part of the manufacturing process. This is a top quality ... moreold set: The frame fits the bowl perfectly; it's a rare unmarried set. The bowl is unmarked. Victorian Brides Basket Silverplate Quadruple Plate Clear-Cased Peach Glass Bowl
For sale is a beautiful brides basket bowl sitting in an ornate handled quadruple silver plated stand. The fluted bowl is a gorgeous peach color all over except for a clear cased upper edge; there may be a peach case on top of the clear case or it's an optical illusion. I can't tell which. It's in excellent antique condition: No chips, breaks, cracks, or repairs. I do see bubbles and a couple of minute rough spots in the glass, all part of having been manufactured over a hundred years ago; there are scratches in the glass, but because I can not feel them, I think they might literally be IN the glass. The bowl is unmarked and has a smoothe pontil with one rough spot. It measures 8 1/2" across the top, 3 1/2" tall, and 3 7/8" across the base/foot. The stand is incredibly ornate with ribbed handles that form a knot ... moreat the top and have one strawberry and three sets of three leaves on each side. The handles connect in four places to a 6 3/4" round base base with a 4" diameter hole that receives the base of the bowl. The base has a ribbed bottom lip and four ornate feet. The stand is 12" at its widest and 10 1/2" tall. The base is marked, but unfortunately it is only a partial mark: Top. or Tor. Company Quadruple Plate 2 10. It is tarnished, but I believe most of the silverplate is present; it should polish up nicely. There are some scratches inside the basket where the bowl sits, but the stand is in otherwise excellent conditon. This will make a nice addition to your collection. Victorian Aesthetic Antique SILVERPLATE Footed BRIDES BASKET Compote / EAPG Bowl
This is a gorgeous antique Victorian bride's basket compote bowl.the quadruple silverplate stand. Designed in the nature of the 1800's Aesthetic Movement, was made by the Meriden Britannia Company and it is signed, Meriden B. Company" on the bottom edge along with a number 241. The Early American Pressed Glass bowl that must have been designed for this stand precisely(or the stand for the bowl) is a clear glass, rounded canted straight sides with indentations on four sides.which line up with the indentations in the base of the stand. I do not know who the maker of the bowl was and the design appears to be some variation of a waffle or cane pattern with a waffle bottom. It measures between 9 1/2" 9 3/4" across the top and is 2 5/8" deep. When setting in the stand it is about 6" tall.overall height of the stand(to ... morethe top of each ornate side handle) is 7 1/4" the length from handle to handle is about 14 1/2" The stand sits on four feet and the embossed design is very ornate, comprised of flowers, foliage and birds. Victorian Rogers Smith Co Meriden Silverplate Mt. Washington Glass Brides Basket
This lovely Silverplate and Enameled Art Glass Brides Basket measure about 10-5/8" in diameter and 3-3/8" tall when assembled. The Silverplate bottom has a bit of tarnish and maybe missing a handle. The mount was produced by Rogers. Smith& Co. around during the last quarter of the 19th century. The company was out of business by'04. We believe the basket was produced by Mt. Washington Glass co. It is unsigned. The glass has some enamel loss, but is largely in very nice condition with no chips or cracks. The bottom of the bowl does have a polished pontil as would be expected.

The silverplated frame measures 11 inches wide and is 11 inches tall to the top of the handle. The area where the foot rim of the bowl would sit measures 4 inches across not including the flared rim which would be 4& 3/4 inches across. The frame made by the Derby Silver Company. The has a little bit of everything going on. It has 2 cherubs supporting the handle. There are 2 daisy as well as leaves and cherries. The silverplate looks to be worn. There is some slight bending to the ruffled plate attached to the bun feet. There is 3 inch seam split where the bottom plate attaches to the pedestal very minor and could be repaired. Old Victorian Webster Silverplate Glass Brides Basket Bowl Stand / Strawberries
Here is an old antique silverplated Victorian Glass wedding bowl stand or basket made by EG Webster + Son. It is marked quadruple plate and number 110. It appears in good shape structurally. I can't tell for sure but the holder section in the center has 3 weld-like marks where it was reattached to the stand at some point. It has some small dents right in this area on the outside also. Otherwsie it seems okay. It all needs to be replated of course. The center round section measures 3 15/16 in inside diameter. Its about 7 1/4 inches tall at the handles. It measures about 9 1/8 inches tall from handle to handle. Nice strawberries and leaves design in underneath area. Would be quite nice redone. In the U.S. I accept Paypal only. Beautiful Victorian silverplate bride's basket with a little cherub on each side. And angels with florals on the inside of the basket. It measures 7 1/2 inches tall to the rim.with handle about 13 1/2 inches. There are no dings or dents. Has dark patina. The red you see is not copper showing through. It's how it took on it's patina. I did not attempt to clean it, although there is old polish residue in the crevices so someone has done it in the past. I don't see any major scratches, some some fine light ones that would be typical from polishing. Made by Meriden. It's hard to see the detail, but there are 4 angels surrounded by flowers and ivy. Antique Victorian Hartford Quadruple Silverplate Brides Basket Frame. Measures 11 1/2" tall to the top of the handle X 8 1/2" widest. The center hole for the glass bowl measures 4" diam and the cradle between the hoops at the base measures 5 1/4" up to 8 1/4" between the upper hoops. Marked on the bottom rim: Hartford Silver Plate Co. Quadruple Plate 987. Victorian Silver metal frame with four ball feet and a wide hoop handle. The top of the frame is scrolled with a Flower and Leaf pattern. The sides of the base have large clusters of Flowers and Leaves on each side. The round bottom is paneled with a thin rim that holds the foot of the bowl. This is in Nice Condition with No dings. Dents or splits. Derby silver plate basket This is a beautiful. Highly ornate handled basket that displays excellently on its own or would be suitable for fruit or a flower arrangement. This is a nice sized piece and measures 14" tall and 9.75" x 7.75" The bottom is marked Derby Silver P Co International S Co 1232. The basket is six sided. The large panels have the same ornate English countryside design on each side. The smaller panels below have alternating scenes with a man and woman. I have not found any damage or dents to the basket. I have not polished it. I personally prefer the slightly aged patina that it currently exhibits. Especially given the pattern on the basket. 1024x768 I am selling a few lots of silverplate from local estates in separate auctions at this same time. Here I am selling a Derby Silver Co. tall silverplated brides basket. The piece is decorated with hummingbirds. Flowers, and designs typical of the Victorian aesthetic movement of the late 1800’s. The piece is 6-1/2” high to the top of the basket(13-1/2” to the top of the handle) and 10” in diameter. The Derby mark is deep inside the base so it is hard to photograph. It reads Derby Silver Co. Quadruple Plate. There is tarnish on the piece. Some scratches, and some dents or bends in the basket. Please view the photos to see the condition yourself. The pedestal base unscrews from the basket and I will be packaging it in two pieces to protect it from bending and to save space. Antique Victorian Brides Basket Quadrupled Rockford Silver Pate Co. 1814 Carried by bride on her wedding day or decorated the bridal table. Could also be used to carry flowers. Gift cards or place candy or treats on. Measures 7" tall x 9 3/4" across. Very ornate flower design across plate and handle. Fruit/flower design around rim of plate. Could use a little polishing.
