I can't answer that-other than to say it is a very nice basket. The basket is 4inches high(not counting the handle bail) and 10 1/2 inch diameter. Itis just a delightful piece of craftsmanship and I know you will be pleased with it. I bought it at a local auction in Burlington.Vermont from a house on the hill next to the University of Vermont and everything from that estate was superior as is this. Devil Satan face Reed & Barton silver-plated brides basket pedestal bowl compote
This is a vintage/antique Reed& Barton silverplate bride's cake basket. Some people refer to it as a compote. Footed dish, or pedestal bowl. The handle is movable. The bottom edge is stamped MF'D& PLATED BY REED& BARTON 4882. It's in very, very nice condition. The only thing I can see wrong with it are scratches along the top edge of the bowl. It has beautiful raised designs and strangely enough, there is an image of the devil or Satan in the center of the bowl. I have no idea why. It measures approximately 13" tall to the top of the handle. 10 1/4" wide, and the bowl is 5" off the table. PayPal only. Presented today is a Pairpoint silver plate Brides Basket Pedestal Footed Bowl. On the bottom it is marked with the traditional logo of Pairpoint and it says quadruple plate. Mfg co. The number on the bottom is 1203. There is another number that looks like a driver’s license number for identification. The piece measures approximately 2" tall and 9 1/2" across. This is a beautiful antique bride basket in a fluted scalloped design. The handle can be lowered flush against the basket. The basket is approximately 10 3/4 inches in diameter. The only mark I can find is on the pedestal and is N/S. It is certainly an exquisite piece and in wonderful condition.

The handle has a beautiful scroll design with leaves and grapes. The sides drop three tiers to base of basket. This could be Nickle Silver. Silver Plate or Pewter. I am not 100% sure. It is not marked. There is a marking on bottom of Basket– 1807 12. There is some weight to this piece. The basket measures 11" diameter. Base is 3.5” inches tall and 10” tall to the top of the handle to base. There are some scratches. Tarnish and little dents in basket. However. This does not take away from beauty of piece. Made by Meridian 1897(marked interior) I have done some polishing The pedestal is 5 1/2" tall, so it has a really nice presence. Lovely handle and the interior basket is done in leaves, vines, and flowers. Was going to keep these 2.see the other B Basket on today also) but car problems prevail. rats. A victorian silverplate brides basket bowl with pivoting handle. Made by the Meriden Company of Meriden Connecticut. Unpolished, No plating loss. No personal monogram present. Marked on the bottom with the traditional makers mark“Meriden B. Company. Quadruple Plate, 1887” Dates to the early 1900’s. Measures a full 10 inches in diameter. 4 3/4 inch base diameter, 5 1/4 inches to top rim and 12 1/2 inches to top of the handle. Condition is great as there are NO chips.
