The base stands almost 10" and without one piece of wrapping it weight 5#s. The silver is in good condition ~ this is one fantastic piece of silver plate. Now for the bowl it is a Thomas Webb Peach Blow Gold Decorated Brides Basket Bowl with a Custard Interior. Peachblow outside decorated with Ferns& Flowers, with an Amber Applied ruffeled ... moretop. The bowl measures 4 1/2" tall x 7" wide x 11 1/2" corner to corner. Fitter ring insert is 4 1/2" I believes this to be decorated from Jules Barbe. The bowl l weighs 3#s unpackaged. This one definitely tugs at my heart strings. I purchased the frame about 12 years ago it's been sitting here waiting for a bowl. And let me tell you finding a mate for this is not easy! This is about as good as it gets! The Figuaral Silverplate Basket has been resilvered with the normal scratch marks on the base for the silverplater ~ the frame stands almost 14" tall. Measures 10-1/2 wide at its widest point with an inside opening of 9-1/2" It has a raised base that measures about 4-3/4" There are for elaborately decorated feet, and the base is adorned with flowers and leaves. The handle has trailing ... moreflowers and vines and two CHERUBS holding a ball with a heavy twisted handle. The Rubina Bowl is heavily acid etched with flowers. The bowl measures 9" across and stands3-1/2" tall with optic lines and a nicely ground pontil. The bowl has no chips, cracks or repairs. When I tell you its beautiful it does not describe it! Now read the fine print ~ I put this together(all sets are put together since most silver manufacturers& glass houses did not cross over so they purchased frames from catalogs, jewelry stores or directly from the manufactures and they were early marriages. This one is a little lose because the foot of the bowl does not fit completely to the bottom of the basket. ANTIQUE GERMAN SILVERPLATE BASKET DECORATED WITH FROLICKING CHERUBS This auction is for a Victorian German silverplate flower basket that is 13" tall and 10" by 8-3/4" wide. It is beautiful with medallions of frolicking cherubs. Lattice work, scrolls and floral decorations. There is a slight amount of wear inside the base of the basket but the rest of it is in beautiful condition. I tried to show you this with my picture. It is marked with a maker's mark, a old Gothic G& S. This is from an estate and I am guessing it is from the late 1800's.

Antique Victorian Silver Plate Bride's Basket Cake Stand Wedding ORNATE CHERUBS
For sale is a Victorian cake stand or bride's wedding basket. Great for displaying fruit. Guest soaps, floral arrangement.you name it! This basket is unmarked but is probably quadruple silver plate. It's incredibly ornate: The inside of the basket is decorated with six cherubs riding two-horned goats, two rabbits, three cherubs alone, and vines, grapes, and leaves. The inner rim is decorated with diamond shapes and arches over flowers. The outer(lower) rim of the basket and the lower rim of the base are decorated with flowers and dragonflies. The handle has an intricate filigree ornament. This cake stand is in excellent antique condition: The silver plate appears to be intact over most of the stand, with some wear on the handle; it should polish up nicely. The top of the handle might be slightly bent forward or it may have been made ... morethat way. I see some scratches in the center of the basket and a couple of minute(pencil point) dents in the rim. There is silver polish in spots. The handle will remain standing up if you wish. The stand measures 12" from table top to top of handle. Antique Rogers& Bros. Silver Plate Cake Brides Basket C.1874 Cherubs Small darkened area. Lacquer residue. Lacquer residue. For your consideration is this spectacular silver plate cake brides basket made by Rogers& Bros. Circa 1874. This impressive basket stands a whopping 16" tall to the top of the handle and measures 10" square. The design elements are amazing, with rounded shell shaped corners, ornate etching and a raised center circle with a house and mountain motif. The pedestal base is just beautiful with back to back cherubs on a heart shape frame and a bottom floral band. There are no dings/dents or noticeable silver loss other than a few spots on the underside, but they do not show. The basket was once protected with a lacquer coat, however, there are just some orange/brown traces left in a few spots, see last 2 ... morepictures. A bit more polishing should remove it. The only issue to mention is if you pull the handle on 1 side it will come completely out, otherwise left alone, it does stay in place and works well. I am offering for auction a magical dancing cherubs brides bowl stand by Reed& Barton# 4642. It stands 9 1/2" high with a base that measures 9 1/2" from toe to toe. The top opening is just at 4" And the cherubs are a bit over 5" It has no breaks or missing parts, but is starting to show some balding and wear to the silverplate. It still displays beautifully.please see the pictures. I have this same piece, and had a bowl with a larger base. Basket is a 10.5 x 7.5 rectangle rounded on 2 ends. Sculptural cutouts of Cherubs in trees with baskets picking cherries, beautiful detail. Inside bottom has a circle of leaves with a striped cat head and paws coming out of the middle. Very hard to see, almost missed it. Silverplate is in very good condition with loss of plating in a small spot on top of curved edge, last photo. Handle has 3D rose on top. Fancy triangular feet are decorated with scrolls, flowers, and beading. Basket is substantial, weighs almost 2 1/2 lbs. Measures 3" tall from bottom to edge, 10" tall to top of handle. The silverplated frame measures 11 inches wide and is 11 inches tall to the top of the handle. The area where the foot rim of the bowl would sit measures 4 inches across not including the flared rim which would be 4& 3/4 inches across. The frame made by the Derby Silver Company. The has a little bit of everything going on. It has 2 cherubs supporting the handle. There are 2 daisy as well as leaves and cherries. The silverplate looks to be worn. There is some slight bending to the ruffled plate attached to the bun feet. There is 3 inch seam split where the bottom plate attaches to the pedestal very minor and could be repaired. It measures 7 1/2 inches tall to the rim.with handle about 13 1/2 inches. There are no dings or dents. Has dark patina. The red you see is not copper showing through. It's how it took on it's patina. I did not attempt to clean it, although there is old polish residue in the crevices so someone has done it in the past. I don't see any major scratches, some some fine light ones that would be typical from polishing. Made by Meriden. It's hard to see the detail, but there are 4 angels surrounded by flowers and ivy. 1890's Victorian Silver-plated Footed Cake Basket with Cherubs Meriden Britannia Co. This is an 1890's Victorian silver-plated. Quadruple plate, elaborate designed cake basket with cherubs in the garden. The very top of the cake basket has two large round medallions on either side of the basket top with cherubs and applied lizard and a branch with fruits on the opposite side. It is marked on two of the feet’s bottoms"Meriden B. Company-1845" a pattern number) a shield with the scales inside) and the opposite feet with the name of the company and“Quadruple” It measures 12”long. 8 ¾” wide and 3 ¾” high not including the handle and weighs 2.7 pound before packing. It’s in good condition without visible loss of silver and just few scratches on top as can be seen in the close-ups. It needs extra polishing.

Also known as a Brides Basket or Brides Bowl or Victorian Centerpiece bowl. This bowl is made from a beautiful cased milky-white opaline-type glass cased with sky blue glass and hand-painted decoration of enamel. The enamel is wonderfully executed with flowers and leaves and highlights of gold. The enamel is in excellent condition. The edge of the bowl is ruffled. Meriden Fruit Basket with Cherubs on the sides and Cat engraving
This is a very ornate unusual Meriden fruit basket. the sides have Cherubs and in the center is an engraved cat. There is also an extensive floral motif as pictured. I am not sure if it is silver or silver plated since it does not say. But lets go with silver plated. It is heavy and on the bottom in a circle it says" Meriden B. Company" Then below that is the number 1870. It has scratches from age as seen in the pictures and it tarnished and will need to be cleaned. the legs and the handle are solid. Weighs about 2.5 lbs.
