This is a beautiful Silver Plated Brides Basket/ Fruit Basket. There is an impressed stamp on the bottom which reads: Pairpoint Mfg. Co. New Bedford, Mass, Quadruple Plate, Pat. Jan. 31, 1893 and number 1249. This item is 120 years old. A lot of embossing on this basket. Looks like a branch with apples on the inside bottom which are raised on the inside and punched in on the underneath. Branches, leaves and apples make up the handle which is hinged. 4 feet on which to stand with a gallery above the feet. Looks like the four corners which are indented in have an engraved design on them. This Basket is in excellent condition showing no wear on the silver. It looks like it was not cleaned ... morefor some time as it is tarnished and the pictures will probably show up dark on the computer. I am leaving it as it is for the new owners to clean themselves. It measures 10 1/4 inches long, 8 1/2 inches wide and stands 3 inches high, 8 inches high with the handle up. Absolutely Stunning Pairpoint Bride's Basket Quadruple Plate#B1210. Dimensions are: 11.5" in length. 7" wide and 3 inches high. Excellent condition. Lightly polished so I could determine condition. There is no loss of silver on this piece, in excellent condition, especially for its age. I believe this was made around 1910. There is one scratch on the inside but due to the quality of the quadruple silver plate, it does not go through to the base metal, see picture 10. Marked on the bottom, Pairpoint mfg. A wonderful old silver plate basket made by Pairpoint Mfg Co. Pat Jan 1893 Quadruple Plate# 1249. The handle has a very decorative design of apples and leaves, there is an apple design in the center of the basket, and on each corner is an engraved floral design. The basket is in excellent condition, could use some polishing but I leave that for you to do as you wish. The piece measures approx. 10" x 8" x 4" with the handle down flat. This is a beautiful old piece and in such great condition.

This is a darling little basket made by Pairpoint Mfg Co sometime between 1880-1894. It has a delicate design with a beaded rim followed by a border of 1/2 moons. Then vertical slats, all on a footed square base with pedestal. This is an especially elegant and collectible piece. The basket is hallmarked"Pairpoint Mfg Co. Quadruple Plate, 2070" Quadruple plate means that 4 times as much silver was used in the plating process resulting in a nicer patina and better durability than in conventional plating. This is a beautiful Silver Plated Brides Basket/ Fruit Basket. There is an impressed stamp on the bottom which reads: Pairpoint Mfg. Co. New Bedford, Mass, Quadruple Plate, Pat. Jan. 31, 1893 and number 1249. This item is 120 years old. A lot of embossing on this basket. Looks like a branch with apples on the inside bottom which are raised on the inside and punched in on the underneath. Branches, leaves and apples make up the handle which is hinged. 4 feet on which to stand with a gallery above the feet. Looks like the four corners which are indented in have an engraved design on them. This Basket is in excellent condition showing no wear on the silver. It looks like it was not cleaned for it is tarnished and the pictures will probably show up dark on the computer. I am leaving it as it is for the new owners to clean themselves. Co. New Bedford Mass. Quadruple Plate 1260. It's very ornate: The inside of the basket is decorated with relief cartouches, dot-lines, and scroll work. The handle sides meet at the top in an intricate filigree ornament with a floral motif. The underneath rim of the foot has a relief dotted pattern and is attached to four ornate feet. Victorian Pairpoint Silver & Gold Plate Bride’s Basket or Centerpiece Stand
This is a wonderfully ornate silver and gold plated bride's basket or centerpiece holder. Made by Pairpoint. The sides are decorated with flowers. Some of which are gold plated. I have cleaned this to the best of my ability but it could use some more detailed cleaning. Please examine the photos closely as they best describe its condition.They do not do it justice! It was extremely dirty when I found it and every area I cleaned exhibited no plate loss. There is minor wear to the central"cup" for want of a better description. And the underside still needs more cleaning as shown, but it appears this is not quad plate, as the rest of the piece is. It is 15-1/2 inches at its widest point.
