The glass bowl is one of the nicest that I have seen. It has fabulous Enamel Decorations, of leaves and floral detailing. It measures approx 12-1/2" diameter. It is in Excellent Condition- I would call it perfect albeit a most minor flat spot on the rim that appears to be a manufacturing nuance, not damage. I have looked at this with a magnifying glass and it is obvious after observing this first hand that it is not a chip but a flat spot somehow done during manufacture. Although extremely difficult to view, I have a pic of the area shown in my last pic. The frame is in Excellent Condition. Made of Quadruple Silver Plate by the Wilcox Silver-Plate Co. It stands approx 10-3/4" tall and approx 12-3/4" across. Both the decorated bowl and the Silver-Plate frame are gorgeous. The item comes direct from the collection of an area advance collector. Sold to me when settling her estate. The underside of the bowl bears a sticker that either she attached or was the sale price back in the day. The glass bowl will be packaged and shipped in a separate parcel from the silver plate frame in order to assure as best one can safe delivery. Derby CT Quadrupleplate. It measures approx. 9 1/4" across and 5 1/4" high(10" high with the handles. It is in shabby chic condition with plate loss and scratches from loving use over the last 100 years or so. We found this history on the Derby Historical Organization's site online(great site! The Derby Silver Company was founded in 1872. And began operations on Shelton's Canal Street one year later. The company soon outgrew its quarters and constructed a larger building, which still stands on Bridge Street, Shelton, in 1877 near the Housatonic River, overlooking Derby. A number of additions were added in subsequent years. The original Canal Street building was razed when the railroad was built through Shelton in 1888. The company made toilet articles. Mirrors, combs, clocks, brushes, table and flatware, tea sets, children's cups, loving cups(trophies) candlesticks, fruit baskets, dishes, basically anything which was plated by or made of silver. 19th Century Victorian Brides' Basket. Marked James W. Tufts Boston Warranted, Quadruple Plate, with a mark 128 and a 6. There is an etched number of 25725 as well. This is a very fancy stand with elaborate decoration. The bowl is 10 1/2” Diameter in a light mauve color with ruffled and corrugated rim and very skillfully hand-painted in a floral pattern. There are two innocuous hairline cracks in the clear inside casing only. The white outside casing is unaffected(see red dots) Otherwise the Brides' Basket is in Excellent Condition with the silver plate and the metal unflawed. Beautiful Victorian antique brides basket. Silverplate frame with lovely aesthetic scrolling pattern on the sides and handle. Beaded edgeing. The art glass insert is milk glass with shades of purple on the ruffled border and clear glass edging. The silverplate is monogrammed- looks like G and HW and dated 1899. Made in Canada by the Toronto Silverplate Co. The basket measures 10 1/4" across the handle and 12 1/2" high. Very good condition with no chips or cracks. Minor age appropriate surface polishing scratches on the silverplate. I will be happy to give shipping quotes.

This lovely piece is 11" across the basket. Stands 7" high and 13" with the handle. This has a pedestal base; four graceful legs stand on an ornate repousse base. The basket has a deep scalloped edge and is lavishly engraved with birds which are cranes in different poses and large shells. The handle swivels up and down, it has an arched top with open filigree work across the arch. Marked on the bottom; Racine Silver Co. Quadruple-plate/ 1868" The silver is excellent, sparking. We are pleased to present this Victorian era Bride's Basket for your consideration. Made of Silverplate. The piece features an unusual Crowned Heads decoration around its ornate rim. The handle that once went over the top of this ... morepiece is missing(the holes where it connected are still visible) But the remaining Fruit Basket remains a charming and attention grabbing piece with a one-of-a-kind look. The Basket is 3-3/4 inches high and about 12-1/2 inches in diameter. Measured at the rim. The bottom of the base is 4-5/8 inches in diameter, and the Basket weighs 1 pound 13 ounces. There are two hand written marks etched into the finish. On the bottom, in the center, is what appears to be the numbers 247. To the side of the center section is another marking that reads Q5741. We have not been able to determine the manufacturer of this piece. The Basket has been polished and is quite shiny. But small areas of patina remain along with a few small spots of verdigris. Some light surface wear is found, but less than might be expected on a piece of this age. Other than the missing handle, there is no damage or repairs, and we rate the overall condition as very good(see pictures) This is a fantastic piece of Victorian Silverplate. Lovely. Ornate- so Victorian! Silverplate Bride's Basket In Victorian days. A very common and suitable gift for a young bride or bride-to-be would be a silver or silverplate Bride's basket. She would place it on the front table where it would soon be filled with well-wishes from family and friends. The main features of the basket are the handle and the wide rim. The basket is also somewhat raised on its base. So it appears very much like a real basket you might see made of straw and natural materials. So it takes one somewhat aback to see the basket design in the more elegant medium of silverplate. This one has such a lovely. Ornate repousse design to it! It is just a very lovely example of a Victorian Bride's Basket. This basket is an early Aesthetic Victorian era Basket produced and plated by the Reed& Barton silversmiths of Taunton. Mass. The silver craftsmanship is excellent. This basket is supper ornate in ornamentation and has gorgeous molded figural elements. Including three winged heads on the pedestal base where it meets the bowl and curled acanthus leaf feet attached to the pedestal base with a central spire. There is an outstretched Fox and bird prey on the handle. The interior of the bowl is adorned with deep chased birds on an Oak and acorn branch that is entwined with Grape vines with clusters of grapes. There are ... morealso chased leaves on the pedestal base and four large spires pointing down from the ribbed edge of the bowl. This basket stands approx 7" in height with the handle down and 13" with the handle extended. It is 10" in diameter and stands on an ornate 5" pedestal base. The underside is marked for Reed& Barton with a Patent date of 1871 for the ornamentation above the Reed& Barton stamp. There are no breaks or repairs. There are some scratches from use and some slight silver loss to be expected from age. There is also some remnants of an old type paste silver polish. This is a beautiful brides basket with an ornate quad plate frame by Wilcox Silver Plate Company. The frame is 8 ¾ inches tall and 9 ½ inches wide. The bowl was made by Stevens& Williams and is peachblow. The bowl is hand blown. Is 8 ¾ inches in diameter and 2 ½ inches high. It has an amber border. This set dates to the late 19 th century. The bowl is in excellent condition with no damage. The frame has no damage but it has lost some much of its silver as is common with quadruple plate.

This brides basket is incredible and beautiful! PLEASE LOOK AT ALL 12 PICTURES)The basket sits on four rounded feet that are decorated with scrolls. Flowers and tiny leaves. Above that is a 1/4 inch band of scrolling work going all the way around. The mane band of the body has large campus leaves some round leaves, large flowers, small flowers and vines. Then there is another 1/4 inch band of scrolling work. The band that holds the glass bowl has a deep stripe pattern all the way around. The C shape connectors that connect the handle to the basket has flowers inside and out and round balls that connect it to the basket ring.The handle is a twisted handle. This silverplate basket has so much going on. It was made by Meriden, and marked on the bottom with an applied piece of silverplate Meriden silver plate Co. No 7017 and a lion holding a ... moretrophy in the middle, this mark dates it to(1869. There is no silver plate missing and no broken metal. This piece was sealed years ago to keep it from turning black, it can be removed by soaking in hot water over night then peal off. The glass fluted bowl was made by L.G.WRIGHT IN 1937. And it is marked with a M with a line in a circle.L.G. Wright Glass Company of New Martinsville, West Virginia, started selling glassware in 1937. Founder"Si" Wright contracted with Ohio and West Virginia glass factories to make popular pressed glass patterns, like Rose& Snow, Baltimore Pear, and Three Face, and opalescent patterns, like Daisy& Fern and Swirl. L.G. Wright items are marked with an underlined W in a circle. The bowl is a daisy and fern pattern it is opalescent and very ice blue. The glass is bright and the pattern is clear. The design has birds, berries, flowers& leaves. It has four metal, openwork, feet and applied openwork design on each side of the handle. The handle is twisted on each side and then straight at the top. There is a mark underneath of two circles and all I can make out is" MERIDEN" and" QUADRUPLE" This holder measures approximately 9 1/2" to the top of the handle x 13" across the handle. The holder for the basket measures approximately 7 5/8" inside diameter at the top and 6 1/2" opening on the inside bottom. It is in good condition but the silverplate is worn from age and use. Here is one of the finest antique Victorian brides basket sets you'll ever find. It has everything going for it! It includes a basket, sugar, and creamer, all in hand painted, ruffled crest, cranberry opaline glass. All three pieces have a ground pontil base, creamer has an applied amber glass handle. All feature a hand painted floral design on exterior(interior basket has design also) The basket measures 9 3/4" long x 6 5/8" wide x 4 1/2" high. The creamer measures 5 1/2" long(handle to spout) x 4 3/8" wide x 3" high, sugar measures 5 1/2" long x 3 3/4" wide x 3 5/8" high. The creamer does not sit flat, but sits fine in the holder. There is light wear to the hand painted decorations, otherwise all three are in very fine to great condition with no chips or cracks. The silverplated holder features ... morea very ornate overall motif with flowers and scrolls. It is marked; QUADRUPLE PLATE WARRANTED, AURORA SP.MFG.CO. 2400. It measures approx. 13" long x 10 1/4" wide(round handle) x 13" high. For sale is an elegant Victorian period ornate-handled quadruple silver plated brides basket holder with a clear fancy glass bowl. The basket is in good condition: There are no dents or damage. Other than some scratches where the bowl and basket have been in contact for more than a hundred years. The silver plate seems to be all there; it's tarnished but should polish up well. The basket is 9" high and 9 1/4" at its widest. The bowl has an intricate design, including four rows of diamond shapes that have a gold cast to them. The bowl is 8" across and is in excellent condition: No chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. Inside the bowl behind the top row of gold diamonds looks like hard water stains; however it's all the way around, so it I believe it must have been part of the manufacturing process. USA Quadruple Plate#1006 Information: This is an antique silver plate quadruple plate brides basket made by Derby Silver Co. from Derby. CT USA. This beautiful vintage item after some research dates between 1872- 1933 which are the years this company was in business. This basket has hig sides deocrated with stars and floral designs. This has patina to include tarnishing and I am leaving it up to the buyer to polish if they desire. The center has a raised medallion with a victorian design that incorporates a heron or bird design with scrolling. There is a slight small approx 1 cm in size silverplate loss in the top plate near the raised medallion. The handle is in tact and quite detailed. The handles where they meet up with the body ... moreof this basket have a light colored string wrapped in the seam which I am not certain why it is there. The handle operates fine and properly. the string may be able to just be removed or left as is. The ornate design around this beautiful bowl are of tassels. Please see pictures. I have up for sale an absolutely gorgeous vintage original circa 1880s 1890s Enameled Art Glass Ruffled Rim Brides Basket with Wilcox Quadruple Silver-Plate holder frame. The glass bowl is one of the nicest that I have seen. It has fabulous Enamel Decorations, of leaves and floral detailing. It measures approx 12-1/2" diameter. It is in Excellent Condition- I would call it perfect albeit a most minor flat spot on the rim that appears to be a manufacturing nuance, not damage. I have looked at this with a magnifying glass and it is obvious after observing this first hand that it is not a chip but a flat spot somehow done during manufacture. This is an antique Victorian. I believe Webb Glass peach blown bridal bowl and basket. The basket is not marked. The basket measures 11" tall x 5 11 3/4" wide and 3 1/2" in diameter at the base. The bowl measures 9 5/8" in diameter. It has a burgandy opalescent glass rim and a rough pontil on the bottom. It is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repair. It does have a couple of bubbles. The basket could use a polishing, but is otherwise in very good condition. It is listed without a reserve. This is a gorgeous antique Victorian bride's basket compote bowl.the quadruple silverplate stand. Designed in the nature of the 1800's Aesthetic Movement, was made by the Meriden Britannia Company and it is signed, Meriden B. Company" on the bottom edge along with a number 241. The Early American Pressed Glass bowl that must have been designed for this stand precisely(or the stand for the bowl) is a clear glass, rounded canted straight sides with indentations on four sides.which line up with the indentations in the base of the stand. I do not know who the maker of the bowl was and the design appears to be some variation of a waffle or cane pattern with a waffle bottom. It measures between 9 1/2" 9 3/4" across the top and is 2 5/8" deep. This beautiful basket features elaborately detailed designs popular in the Victorian era. Very sturdy with four feet and a fold down handle. This makes a beautiful centerpiece. Or on a buffet table. Fill it with pastel Easter eggs. Brightly colored Christmas balls, or flowers. Heavily patinaed with discoloration to the quadruple plate. Along the inner rim is a small area of plate loss( which is a bit darker in color. There are small dents and scratches along the inner rim. And a few more off to the far sides of the center. Fabulous Victorian Antique Blown Glass Brides Basket on Silverplated BRASS stand

The hand blown opaque white bowl measures about 11 in. across and 3.5 in. high. The rim has exaggerated ruffled flutes terminating in amber coloration. What makes the bowl extremely unusual is that instead of sitting on the usual white metal frame with hoop handle. This has a heavy silver plated brass pedestal decorated with seperately assembled leaves and flowers and attached to the base with 3 numbered nuts that screw onto the stems. This type of work is usually seen on fine European metal table or mantle pieces. The pedestal stand on 3 shell like legs attached to a Greek key designed rim. The condition of the glass is excellent with no cracks or chips. The base is also in excellent antique ... morecondition and could use some polishing of the silver. Item is shown from 3 sides. Antique Victorian Silver Plate Fluted Brides Basket with Handle; Scallop Shell. Fluted Form with ornate bail handle; Centerpiece. This is a wonderful piece of Victorian silver from approx. 1860-1899. Signed ROGERS SILVER CO. Connecticut. This lovely basket is 13" long and 7+" high to top of handle. It is in excellent condition; just a little silver wear and a some dots, but does not take away from it a bit. Still a beautiful display! Handle and hinges is in excellent working condition. Antique Victorian Clear Cranberry w/ White Stripes Fluted Brides Basket w/ Frame This auction is for a beautiful Victorian clear cranberry with white stripes fluted brides basket and a silver plated decorative frame. This brides basket and frame are from an old farm estate and were part of an avid antique collector's collection. It was always proudly on display and out of reach! The glass basket measures approximately 10 inches wide and approx. 4 inches deep. The frame is approximately 12.25 inches tall and 12.75 inches wide. The glass basket is in great condition.
