This is a very fancy stand with elaborate decoration. The bowl is 10 1/2” Diameter in a light mauve color with ruffled and corrugated rim and very skillfully hand-painted in a floral pattern. There are two innocuous hairline cracks in the clear inside casing only. Gorgeous 19th Century Bridal Brides Basket, Antique Glass HP Bowl, Silverplate
Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian 19th century bride's basket with hand-painted cased glass fluted bowl and quadruple silverplated holder with ornate handle. The color on the upside of the bowl begins with a clear edge then flows from dark rose to pale pink and very pale pink in the center. Yellow dots. Flowers, and scrollwork and blue and white flowers are all handpainted: You can feel the depth of the paint, which is in very good condition. Silver color leaves also grace the bowl, but some of this paint seems to have faded. I see no chips or cracks in the glass bowl. There are minute spots of what looks like ash on the all-white bottom; there is also a bubble in the finish of the upside that looks and feels a bit like a pimple and is about the size of a pencil eraser; these are from the manufacturing process done more than one hundred ... moreyears ago. The quadruple silverplated basket was made by the New Amsterdam Silver Co. and has the number 2971 engraved in the bottom; the number 5446-x is etched into the bottom. The basket is in good condition but is in need of polishing. The base appears to have most of its silverplate intact with the exception of the inside of the base where the bowl sits; some parts of this have a greenish cast. The handle seems to have some silverplate loss as well as some minute pitting. All in all this is a wonderful piece for something that could very easily be 115 years old. Bowl is 11" in diameter at its widest. 3" high, and 3 1/2" across the base. Holder is 12 1/2" at its widest and 13" high. Please ask questions. Antique vintage bridal brides funeral basket with deer legs
Up for auction is a unique. Vintage, bridal/funeral basket. It has a very simple floral design on the inside of the basket, and a monogram which looks like an"M" in the center. What makes this basket so unique are the legs which are in the shape of deer heads and feet. It also has a very small picture of a man's head at the rim of one of the basket's ends. The basket measures approximately 10 x 8, and is 9 inches high with the handle up. It is very old, and only stands on three legs at a time because it is slightly bent. It also has some wear/black spotting in areas.

The feet of the basket have pretty grape leaves. It measures approximately 11 x7 1/2. And is 9 inches high with the handle up. There are a lot of markings on the bottom of the basket. It says the following: warranted quadruple plate, Homan Mfg Co with a picture of an anchor, made in usa#2527, special metal(with a picture of a beaker and hammer) patented December 22, 1903. It is in good antique condition, but does have some wear/black spotting(as seen in the pictures) This does not detract from the beauty of this basket.

There is a number on the bottom but cannot make it out. These baskets were a favorite wedding gifts from the 1880's until around 1905. This glass basket measures 10 inches across and about 3 inches in height. The silver basket part stands 12 inches high. Antique Vintage Victorian Hand Painted Brides Bridal Basket Beautiful!
This is a Very Pretty Vintage Victorian Bridal Basket. The bowl is hand painted. I haven't seen one of these with this much design painted on it before. Very nice. It looks like it also had a gold/silver color stenciling of the leaves around the flowers. But some of it has rubbed off in time. Bowl is in excellent condition, with only one very small chip/flee bite on the rim. Hard to see it unless you turn it just right. Bowl also has a few black marks, and/or rubs on it from wear. Pic#4) I believe the basket is silver plated, but not positive. It does have some green patina/corrosion from age. Can probably be cleaned up if buyer chooses to do so. Pic#6) Basket rocks a little bit when set down. Bowl is about 11" across. Basket is about 12" across, and about 12" tall.
