This is a beautiful Silver Plated Brides Basket/ Fruit Basket. There is an impressed stamp on the bottom which reads: Pairpoint Mfg. Co. New Bedford, Mass, Quadruple Plate, Pat. Jan. 31, 1893 and number 1249. This item is 120 years old. A lot of embossing on this basket. Looks like a branch with apples on the inside bottom which are raised on the inside and punched in on the underneath. Branches, leaves and apples make up the handle which is hinged. 4 feet on which to stand with a gallery above the feet. Looks like the four corners which are indented in have an engraved design on them. This Basket is in excellent condition showing no wear on the silver. It looks like it was not cleaned ... morefor some time as it is tarnished and the pictures will probably show up dark on the computer. I am leaving it as it is for the new owners to clean themselves. It measures 10 1/4 inches long, 8 1/2 inches wide and stands 3 inches high, 8 inches high with the handle up. This is one of the nicest silverplate baskets I have ever owned. Made by the pairpoint silver company in the later part of the 1800's it features raised cherries. Love birds, flowers and an ornate pierced rim, handle and feet. The silvering is in excellent condition(although it needs a better polish) The bottom reads PAIRPOINT MFG CO, QUADRUPLE PLATE, 1228. It measures 14" long by 10" wide and 9.5" tall. This will make a stunning addition to any collection!

Victorian Pink Ribbed Glass Brides Bowl in a Pairpoint Quadruple Plate Basket
For sale is an ornate Victorian Pairpoint quadruple silver plated bride's basket with an exquisite ruffled ribbed-glass bowl. The pink glass is ribbed on the underside of the ruffle and is smooth white glass from the sides down to the center. This unmarked bowl measures 10 1/2" across at its widest. 3 1/8" at its tallest, and 3 7/8" across the foot, which has a ground, indented pontil. It is in excellent antique condition: No cracks, breaks, chips, or repairs; just some bubbles, pimples, and a couple of small slightly rough areas where the glass is ribbed, all signs of having been manufactured more than a hundred years ago. The basket is marked: Pairpoint Mfg Co Quadruple Plate 4754. It stands 12 1/2" at its highest, 11 1/4" at its widest, and 4" across the inner part where the bowl sits. The holder has ornate ... moretwisted metal, leaves, and finial at the top and top/sides of the handle; the lower handles have vines, berries and leaves, and attach to the base in four ball-ornamented spots. The foot is incredibly ornate with pierced and relief designs and four feet(two each of two designs) The holder is in wonderful antique condition: The silver plate needs polishing but it appears to be mostly intact; there appears to be a 3/4" section of leaves missing on the lower portion of one side of the handle and a 1/2" section on the upper portion of the other side of the handle, but this does not detract from the basket's wow-power. There is a little bit of"play" where the bowl sits in the basket. A beautiful, quality artifact from the Victorian period. CONDITION NOTE: All of our items are vintage or antique. For sale is a Victorian cake stand or bride's wedding basket by Pairpoint. Great for displaying fruit. Guest soaps, floral arrangement.you name it! This basket is marked on the bottom: Pairpoint Mfg. Co. New Bedford Mass. Quadruple Plate 1260. It's very ornate: The inside of the basket is decorated with relief cartouches, dot-lines, and scroll work. The handle sides meet at the top in an intricate filigree ornament with a floral motif. The underneath rim of the foot has a relief dotted pattern and is attached to four ornate feet. This cake stand is in good antique condition: The silver plate appears to be intact over most of the stand, with some wear on the handle; it should polish up nicely. Offered here is a gorgeous silverplate Bride’s Basket stand. By Pairpoint. Quadruple plate, model#2164. Basket/stand has lovely ornamentation. With a pair of swallows perched on the tops of the handles. Purchased the basket as found. No bowl, and am hoping someone will have a marriage for the base! The opening between the handles measures 9 inches from bird to bird. The circular bottom opening has a 4 ¼ inch diameter. Total length is over 11 inches and approximately 10 inches tall. Condition of basket base is very good. Some wear to plating, but much of it remains. There is also some silver polish residue left in crevices from a polish session long ago…left as found! Victorian Pairpoint Silver & Gold Plate Bride’s Basket or Centerpiece Stand
This is a wonderfully ornate silver and gold plated bride's basket or centerpiece holder. Made by Pairpoint. The sides are decorated with flowers. Some of which are gold plated. I have cleaned this to the best of my ability but it could use some more detailed cleaning. Please examine the photos closely as they best describe its condition.They do not do it justice! It was extremely dirty when I found it and every area I cleaned exhibited no plate loss. There is minor wear to the central"cup" for want of a better description. And the underside still needs more cleaning as shown, but it appears this is not quad plate, as the rest of the piece is. It is 15-1/2 inches at its widest point. This Pairpoint bride's basket measures 11 1/4" in height and 10 1/4" at the widest part of the handle. The pedestal base has a diameter of 4 5/8" and will fit a bowl with a bottom rim of approx. 3 3/4" The basket is stamped on the underside- PAIRPOINT MFG CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE- 4732 1/2" and has the'P' inside of a diamond logo(pic#5) I am unsure of when this piece was made but Pairpoint advertised a very similar pattern on smoking accessories in 1908. There is some wear to the plate on the handle(pic# 6.7) The cut glass bowl has a diameter of 7 1/4" and measures 3 1/4" in height. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to the bowl; however, there is a small"flea bite" pic#10,11) on the side of the bowl and straw marks/ air bubbles can be seen in the base(pic#12) Both pieces will be packaged ... moresafely.
