They are 5" tall the shape of the base is a triangle. The foot is elaborately decorated with Victorian Scrolls and fancy feet. The frame is marked Meridian Silver Plate. The base stands almost 10" and without one piece of wrapping it weight 5#s. The silver is in good condition ~ this is one fantastic piece of silver plate. Now for the bowl it is a Thomas Webb Peach Blow Gold Decorated Brides Basket Bowl with a Custard Interior. Peachblow outside decorated with Ferns& Flowers, with an Amber Applied ruffeled ... moretop. The bowl measures 4 1/2" tall x 7" wide x 11 1/2" corner to corner. Fitter ring insert is 4 1/2" I believes this to be decorated from Jules Barbe. The bowl l weighs 3#s unpackaged. Interior glows under U.V. light. Displays beautifully. The condition of the bowl ~ concave polished pontil with an approx. 2" area on base of bowl where in the making there an area the bowl did not fill in the making, but is covered by the clear glass covered it, its smooth, if you have questions about this or have concerns ask before you bid. There is a flat flake on one corner of amber rim-more felt than seen, does not effect the integrity of the bowl. We have up for a sale a most beautiful Brides Basket. This is a Silverplate Victorian piece by James W. Tufts of Boston. Ma. This 19th century basket is very fancy, but of course it is a Tufts piece and they are always fancy.The figures are a beautiful lady being kissed on the check by a winged cherub. There are huge flowers& fruit all around the figures and the detail is of the best we have seen. Even the hinged handle has tiny birds on each side of the hinge. The basket is Marked on the bottom with the Tufts circle mark. The basket measures 10" with the handle standing. It is 11 1/2" in dia. This basket is in excellant condition with only slight wear to the silver in some spots. It is over 130 years old so it does have old tarnish& surface scratching due to its antiquity. This one definitely tugs at my heart strings. I purchased the frame about 12 years ago it's been sitting here waiting for a bowl. And let me tell you finding a mate for this is not easy! This is about as good as it gets! The Figuaral Silverplate Basket has been resilvered with the normal scratch marks on the base for the silverplater ~ the frame stands almost 14" tall. Measures 10-1/2 wide at its widest point with an inside opening of 9-1/2" It has a raised base that measures about 4-3/4" There are for elaborately decorated feet, and the base is adorned with flowers and leaves. The handle has trailing ... moreflowers and vines and two CHERUBS holding a ball with a heavy twisted handle. The Rubina Bowl is heavily acid etched with flowers. The bowl measures 9" across and stands3-1/2" tall with optic lines and a nicely ground pontil. The bowl has no chips, cracks or repairs. When I tell you its beautiful it does not describe it! ANTIQUE VERY RARE 1800'S FIGURAL BRIDES BOWL BASKET
This gorgeous quadruple silver plated figural stand was made by the Toronto Silver Plate Company between 1882 and 1913. It is marked"537" The hand blown Bride's Bowl has raised hand painted flowers on clear to cranberry glass. The figures are a gentleman bowing to his lady. Who is doing a curtsey. They have subtle gold accents. The silver stand is about 8" tall. The bowl is about 8.5" wide at the widest point. Overall, it's about 12.5" tall. The bowl has no chips or cracks that I can see. The silver stand has some minor pitting under the bowl, see photos. Some of the bolts holding the figures to the stand have been replaced and tightened. This beautiful antique is in remarkable cindition, considering it's age! It will make a wonderful addition to any collection.

This auction is for a lovely Kate Greenaway Figural Brides Basket with a Hobbs Brockunier Cranberry Satin Snow Storm Bowl. The Cranberry Bowl has white spatter. Oblong bowl, with a clear ribbon top on the ruffled rim with a satin finish and a ground and polished pontil, c.1880's. While Harry Northwood was working for Hobbs, Brockunier& Glass Co. he brought the technology and manufacturing expertise for many art glass bowls Hobbs produced. He probably incorporated this in to his Martin's Ferry operation. The bowl appears to me that it could be a product of either operation. The bowl is about 4`1/2" tall ~ 11-1/4" long, and 7-3/4" wide. I can only speculate as to the purpose, and I feel it must have held a bowl or basket, such as a brides basket. the base has a ram, a baby sheep and a bird. around the top where the bowl would sit, are grapes and leaves. the base is like rocky ground. the best description is the photos, so please take your time and view the pictures. the piece is 7.5" tall and the top is about 6.5" wide. condition is wonderful. DESCRIPTION: Offered Here is a fabulous super ornate Victorian Silverplate circa 1870s Pedestal Swing Handle Bride's or Cake Basket. This basket is an early Aesthetic Victorian era Basket produced and plated by the Reed& Barton silversmiths of Taunton. Mass. The silver craftsmanship is excellent. This basket is supper ornate in ornamentation and has gorgeous molded figural elements. Including three winged heads on the pedestal base where it meets the bowl and curled acanthus leaf feet attached to the pedestal base with a central spire. There is an outstretched Fox and bird prey on the handle. The interior of the bowl is adorned with deep chased birds on an Oak and acorn branch that is entwined with Grape vines with clusters of grapes. There are ... morealso chased leaves on the pedestal base and four large spires pointing down from the ribbed edge of the bowl. This basket stands approx 7" in height with the handle down and 13" with the handle extended. It is 10" in diameter and stands on an ornate 5" pedestal base. The underside is marked for Reed& Barton with a Patent date of 1871 for the ornamentation above the Reed& Barton stamp. There are no breaks or repairs. There are some scratches from use and some slight silver loss to be expected from age. There is also some remnants of an old type paste silver polish. This is one JUMBO Brides Basket ~ Very large and heavy FIGURAL Elephant Frame with a large Rubina Decorated Ribbed and Ruffled Bowl with Fruit enameled inside and out. This terrific piece has full elephant heads and trunks up it has an india feel to it. The frame stands 7-1/2" tall with the bowl its 12" tall. The holder on the inside of the frame has some sodering on it has no effect on the intregity of the stand. There are 3 rings on the bottom of the stand which could have originally had a chain on it. But its now missing, personally I think it would make it too busy. Now the bowl Cranberry to Milk Glass ribbed decorated with fruit both inside and out. The Bowl which is a Lucius Cranberry Satin tightly ruffled bowl decorated in purple with white forget me knots the bowl measures 10-1/2" across and is in wonderful condition. One of the prettiest bowls I've seen in a while. The total height is 13" tall and is truly an elegant piece. The condition of the frame the silver appears to be in good condition with minimal plate loss. The bowl had been weighted on the bottom with plaster of paris and green felt was placed over it. The top of the holder has some age pitting but its only in the holder portion which is covered by the bowl. This is an incredible piece, so much prettier in person. The basket is very ornate with sprays of flowers surrounding a dedication to Mrs. Charles Buckley from her friends with a date of 1872. The basket is fantastic for its age with excellent details. There are two breaks to the decorations on the basket as shown in the pictures. One of the attachments just under the two doves is broken off and can be seen in picture number 12 and there once was an adornment on the handles which is no longer there. Victorian Silver Plate Reed& Barton Brides Basket Stand This beautiful brides basket stand is decorated from top to bottom. Bunch of grapes with leaves top the twist rope style handle. The bowl is etched with a lovely bunch of flowers held together with a bow and a butterfly floats above. The outside of the basket is embossed with cherubs. Birds and floral sprays and is held up by a cherub seated on a pillow. I'm not sure why or how but there is a beautiful all over carnival glass like sheen, very pretty. Displays beautifully as is or could be polished or resilvered. There are 2 small worn spots on the rim of the basket that must be from where the original bowl sat and a small rough area on the base, see pic 4 at 3 o'clock. Be sure to check out my other listings through out the week. This is one of the coolest antique Victorian Silver plated pieces I've seen. Made Circa 1872 by the Benjamin James Mayo or B.J. Mayo company in Newark New Jersey. A figural basket or tray. It is a Presentation special presentation piece made by the which is hand engraved& dated. The body is a rectangular form with three originally four soldiers mounted on the corners with shields. Then two flowers or what look like flowers on either end near where the handle touches when folded down. Then the handle has a figural dog on the top. It has four large feet it stands on. Signed with a round applied Mayo mark. The center ... moreis fully hand engraved with great detail with an inscription reading"Presented to S. Amanda Beck by friends at Irvington 1872" Then also engraved next to that with a large stag or deer with antlers laying down in a field of grass with a tree behind it. There is expected antique wear& scuffs scratches etc. It is as mentioned missing one of the corner figures& the others have some damage to them. It fits like a glove and is a rich deep shade of Red Cranberry Glass. The Basket overall is in amazing all original condition with little signs of wear and certainly no cracks, dents or repairs to the frame and no chips, cracks or repairs to the glass bowl. The Basket makes for a beautiful display and is a nice practical size for modern use measuring 7" tall to the top of the bail handle by 8-1/4" wide or 2-1/2" tall at the edge with the bowl measuring 1-1/2" deep. RARE Brides Basket Holder with Soldier Measures: 11.5" tall at tallest point 11.5" wide at widest point Base has embossed flowers and birds. The handle is adorned with flowers. VICTORIAN C1871 REED BARTON FIGURAL PUTTI ANGLE BRIDES BASKET CENTERPIECE BOWL Search Up for auction is a Victorian centerpiece basket by Reed and Barton with a patent date on the bottom which reads. Dec. 19, 71. We believe the date to be 1871. The basket features angels or putti balancing the bowl on the basket on there wings and a finial on the top of the handle which appears to be a cat. The basket stands 15 inches tall to the top of the finial and 8.75 inches tall to the rim. There are no monograms or repairs and the design is excellent. The rim of the basket measures about 10 inches across. The inside or center of the basket shows wear so please look at the pictures before bidding. I nsurance is included in the cost of shipping. Maker is Wilcox, an early mark, c1880 Aesthetic ... moremovement era. Border rim on basket is beautifully engraved with birds, dragonflies, flowers and nudes figures and cherubs, center of base is a full figure cherub holding what looks like a hand mirror. This piece has a few issues. First 2 of the legs have separated from the spacer(I don't' know exactly how to describe that piece see the last 2 photos) causing the spacer to be crooked(please see photos 7 thru 10) the handle on 1 side is bent at the bottom, and about 1" of the flat rim overlay over the handle has separated from handle proper, some wear to the plating in spots. Because of the bend in the handle the handle does not fold down, Sold as"In Found Condition" APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS: about 14" tall to top of handle. Victorian Meriden Co Silver Plate Brides Basket w/ Figural Feet & Cased Bowl
Up for auction is a fantastic victorian silver plate figural brides basket by meridan silverplate co. No 7015 with a gorgeous cased bowl which is also marked with the numbers 1023/9 700. Silverplate basket is in excellent condition. Bowl does have an age crack which can be seen from the inside only. The crack is long and at one point in time some dark spots formed under the inside surface near it. There is also four figural feet on the silverplate bowl. This is part of an estate and the bowl& basket have been together a very long time. The crack can only be seen on the inside not from the outside. It can also be seen on outside bottom of bowl. Both pieces look beautiful together. Basket overall measures 13" high x 11" across.

Beautiful and large Reed and Barton bride or centerpiece basket measures 17" to top of handle and 9" in diameter. The figure measures 5/58" tall. The bottom is 4 1/2" in diameter. Marked Reed and Barton#712 and also#2120. There is the letter C inside the bowl and a solder repair underneath the top and inside the bowl. This is the same repair. Up for auction is a lovely Victorian cake stand or basket by Wilcox Silver Plate Co in Quadruple Plate standing 13 inches tall to the top of the finial. 7.75 inches ... moretall to the rim and 9.75 inches wide. There are no monograms or dents. The basket features the traditional silver plate finish and the"Butler Finish" a softer silver plate finish used to replicate years of polishing by a butler. Together they creating a striking design. The top of the basket is supported by a ladies hand with detailed graceful fingers. There may be a ring on the middle finger or it could be a repair but it looks more like a ring so please take a close look. The handle features a calla lily with butterfly and the design is repeated on either side of the basket.There is a repair to the base as shown in picture 2 and a close up in one of the other pictures. Antique Figural Victorian Silverplate BRIDES BOWL FRAME, Perched Tropical Bird
Each ornate foot has the"Pat. Apd. stamp. But I find no makers hallmark. The tropical bird with upraised wings is a terrific accent. The diameter for the base of a bowl is a hair under 2 1/2" From the rim of that to the perch is a space a hair under 3 1/4" and the overall width allotment for a bowl would be up to about 9" depending on its overall form. There are no dents. The place where the berry is behind the bird's tail feathers look like it may have once been soldered to the opposite side of the holder. We believe it is likely a frame for a glass brides bowl. There are three figures on the base that appear to be mermen. These are connected by chains to the three rams heads attached to the sides of the bowl. It measures 9 3/4" tall and 7 1/4" across the top rim of the bowl. The inner diameter of the bowl is 6 7/8" There is no damage but there is one area of plate loss near one ram's head. We will leave polishing to the preference of the buyer. This is a fantastic antique silver-plated cake or bride's basket. In very good vintage condition but needs a good cleaning. Sits flat. Has a swing handle. Gnurled edges at bowl and base. Interior is decorated in relief with birds perched in trees. Bowl is attached to pedestal base by three figural winged heads. Stretching down to curled leaves attached to the base along with a center spire. Top of base is decorated with leaves. there are 2 spots which look like had labels there.
