The Bowl is in very fine all original condition with no dents, cracks, holes or repairs. There is a lot of Copper Bloom but I like my Antiques to look Antique and think it is just beautiful but you could have it replated if desired. The Basket is a large and impressive example measuring 12" across the top and standing approx 10" tall to the top of the handle or 4-1/4" tall at the bowl edge. The Epergne is the only Signed Period example I have seen in many years. The Stand is marked on all 4 legs with Starburst Hallmarks for the famed maker Matthew Boulton. Whose works are considered among the finest ever created. The Sheffield Plate Stand has a very fine Georgian period design with amazing details throughout including Lion Heads, detailed Borders and superbly detailed large Claw Feet. The Cut Glass Bowls all appear to be original early Anglo Irish Cut Glass, and they fit perfectly in the Stand. As you can see the Stand and the Arms are all Numbered, and all the Numbers match as well. The Stand itself is in very fine original condition having never been replated and only showing some light wear throughout. The center bowl as you see is has one tooth repaired but still displays beautifully as it is and is rare to be found still intact at all. The bowls are otherwise in fine condition for their age with some small nicks, but no other major damage. Lovely Antique Victorian Brides Basket James W. Tufts. Boston Warranted Quadruple Plate. 2722 I believe this piece dates from around 1870. This beautiful basket features elaborately detailed designs popular in the Victorian era. Very sturdy with four feet and a fold down handle. This makes a beautiful centerpiece. Or on a buffet table. Fill it with pastel Easter eggs. Brightly colored Christmas balls, or flowers. Heavily patinaed with discoloration to the quadruple plate. Along the inner rim is a small area of plate loss( which is a bit darker in color. There are small dents and scratches along the inner rim. And a few more off to the far sides of the center. This is an old Victorian or early 1900s grans showy large floor basket or centerpiece with hallmark from old estate. It is 19" tall and 11" across the mouth and the base is 6 5/8" by 5" It is very ornate with angels. Cherubs, urns and overall a very classical design. It weighs a bit over 3 pounds. The silver plate is in very good condition and all I see is a faint copper shadow under the silver on the inside edge rim about 3/4" wide. See me pointing. This is not worth noting. Antique Middletown Silver Plate Centerpiece Basket
We are offering this antique silver-plate Middletown Basket. We bought it a couple of years ago when we were looking for a frame for a Mount Washington glass bowl. We've since sold the bowl so its time to get rid of the basket. The Basket is 10" wide and 9" high to the top of the bail. It is signed Mddletown Plate Quadruple Plate and is numbered 1833. It is also marked Hard White Metal. The center of the basket has some floral engraving. Condition is fair. The metal has a nice patina but the basket seems out of round as if one side was pushed down. We are offering this with an opening bid that is below our cost and no reserve. An etched star pattern to the bowl, and a floral handle with a non-monogrammed medallion at the center. It is in overall excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age. USA/ Circa: 1872-1910 Information: This is a silver plate bride basket stand from Derby. It is pattern#1006. And has a bird(Heron) pattern and art nouveau stylized bands decorating it. It is so beautiful and certainly a show-stopper. It is marked on the base. Size: 9"d X 4 5/8"h(base) X 10 1/4"h(top of handle) approx. dimensions Quantity: 1- Basket Stand, Condition: GOOD- it has a few small issues: some tarnish/discoloration. One spot where the plating is worn off(see last 3 photos) light scuffs and scratches from use and cleaning, and a few small dents along the top lip. None of the issues are bad, and are age related. Victorian Pairpoint Silver & Gold Plate Bride’s Basket or Centerpiece Stand
This is a wonderfully ornate silver and gold plated bride's basket or centerpiece holder. Made by Pairpoint. The sides are decorated with flowers. Some of which are gold plated. I have cleaned this to the best of my ability but it could use some more detailed cleaning. Please examine the photos closely as they best describe its condition.They do not do it justice! It was extremely dirty when I found it and every area I cleaned exhibited no plate loss. There is minor wear to the central"cup" for want of a better description. And the underside still needs more cleaning as shown, but it appears this is not quad plate, as the rest of the piece is. It is 15-1/2 inches at its widest point. I find no marks, but understand through the various transitions some WMF items were unmarked. This bowl is simply stunning! It measures 19" long 7.5" tall and 6.5" wide. Vintage mid century era crystal glass basket set into a Leonard Sheffield silver plate holder. The holder has a twisted handle. Ball feed and a leafy vine frame. The crystal glass basket is also made in Englad, it is vertically ribbed and decoratively scalloped at the top. There are the original labels as pictured. The glass has mold or straw marks on it, which are raised and on the interior of the basket. They can not be felt on the exterior of the glass. There is some tarnish from age. The piece is wrapped in plastic cellophane. It measures 8 1/2" to top of handle x 10" long x 7 1/2" wide. Add it to your collection.
