This is a beautiful Silver Plated Brides Basket/ Fruit Basket. There is an impressed stamp on the bottom which reads: Pairpoint Mfg. Co. New Bedford, Mass, Quadruple Plate, Pat. Jan. 31, 1893 and number 1249. This item is 120 years old. A lot of embossing on this basket. Looks like a branch with apples on the inside bottom which are raised on the inside and punched in on the underneath. Branches, leaves and apples make up the handle which is hinged. 4 feet on which to stand with a gallery above the feet. Looks like the four corners which are indented in have an engraved design on them. This Basket is in excellent condition showing no wear on the silver. It looks like it was not cleaned ... morefor some time as it is tarnished and the pictures will probably show up dark on the computer. I am leaving it as it is for the new owners to clean themselves. It measures 10 1/4 inches long, 8 1/2 inches wide and stands 3 inches high, 8 inches high with the handle up. Absolutely Stunning Pairpoint Bride's Basket Quadruple Plate#B1210. Dimensions are: 11.5" in length. 7" wide and 3 inches high. Excellent condition. Lightly polished so I could determine condition. There is no loss of silver on this piece, in excellent condition, especially for its age. I believe this was made around 1910. There is one scratch on the inside but due to the quality of the quadruple silver plate, it does not go through to the base metal, see picture 10. Marked on the bottom, Pairpoint mfg. This is really a lovely old antique quadruple plate silver bride's basket. It was manufactured by the Pairpoint Mfg. Co. of New Bedford. I really love the beautiful designs that goes around the rim of the piece as well as inside of the basket-inside the basket there is a floral design. There is a lovely swing handle that has an ornate top. There are four ornamental style of feet that adds to the look. The silver finish has worn off from time over the years. It is approx. 9 1/2" tall from top of handle to bottom. It is approx. 10" across.

The company manufactures all varieties of useful and ornamental household goods in great variety, including knives, forks, spoons, cake baskets, and an almost endless variety of table ware, hat, hair, clothes, and crumb brushes, candlesticks, casters, card receivers, communion ware, ice pitcher sets, epergnes, jewel, cigar, and cigarette ... morecases, wine coolers, ash receivers, match safes, etc. etc. The company organized in 1880 with Edward D. This is a Pairpoint Mfg. Co. salt basket. It is vintage and possibly antique. It is quadruple plated. Which means it is dipped 4 times in the plating. I don't know the age. The Pairpoint company was in business from 1880 to 1958. I'm putting the miniature spoon with it, but it did not originally come with it. It does not have the glass liner. It has a flower on top of the basket handle with 2 gold-colored leaves. There are 2 leaf branches on each side etched into the plating. Very sweet little piece!

Looks like a branch with apples on the inside bottom which are raised on the inside and punched in on the underneath. Branches, leaves and apples make up the handle which is hinged. 4 feet on which to stand with a gallery above the feet. Victorian Pink Ribbed Glass Brides Bowl in a Pairpoint Quadruple Plate Basket
For sale is an ornate Victorian Pairpoint quadruple silver plated bride's basket with an exquisite ruffled ribbed-glass bowl. The pink glass is ribbed on the underside of the ruffle and is smooth white glass from the sides down to the center. This unmarked bowl measures 10 1/2" across at its widest. 3 1/8" at its tallest, and 3 7/8" across the foot, which has a ground, indented pontil. It is in excellent antique condition: No cracks, breaks, chips, or repairs; just some bubbles, pimples, and a couple of small slightly rough areas where the glass is ribbed, all signs of having been manufactured more than a hundred years ago. The basket is marked: Pairpoint Mfg Co Quadruple Plate 4754. It stands 12 1/2" at its highest, 11 1/4" at its widest, and 4" across the inner part where the bowl sits. The holder has ornate ... moretwisted metal, leaves, and finial at the top and top/sides of the handle; the lower handles have vines, berries and leaves, and attach to the base in four ball-ornamented spots. The foot is incredibly ornate with pierced and relief designs and four feet(two each of two designs) The holder is in wonderful antique condition: The silver plate needs polishing but it appears to be mostly intact; there appears to be a 3/4" section of leaves missing on the lower portion of one side of the handle and a 1/2" section on the upper portion of the other side of the handle, but this does not detract from the basket's wow-power. It's very ornate: The inside of the basket is decorated with a etched motif of flowers and leaves. The outer is fluted like a pie crust. The handle has an intricate filigree ornament in a floral and leaf motif. The bottom rim has a relief fern design. The four feet have an ornate relief scrolled design. This cake stand is in good antique condition: The silver plate appears to be intact over most of the stand; it should polish up nicely. Stamped on the underside of basket is Pairpoint Mfg Co Quadrupple Plate 1244. This was made in the USA c 1900. Pairpoint Mfg Co was in existence from 1880 till 1958 but did not make silverplate after 1929. Approximate Size: 10 inches by 4 inches tall and 10 inches high(to top of handle) Weighs 1 ¾ pounds. The basket is a little warped out of shape after a 100 years and that gives it some character to it and it needs to be gently bent back into shape but quite useable as is. The handle goes up and down easily. Other than noted in the description and pictures there are no other dents. Nor dings, nor cracks, nor foul smells, and it’s clean. Pairpoint silverplate basket. Quite a bit of wear and a couple of condition issues. No large chips or major plate loss. The base has been leaned on. So it is a little pushed down on one side which causes the basket to lean. The rim on the front(or back) is pushed in a little bit. Handle is fine and no other issues are apparent to me, but if you can think of a potential issue that might exist, please ask. Very nice scrolling arond the bowl edge and two floral engravings in the bowl. The diameter of the inner part of the bowl is 8" The basket stands 4 3/4" to the rim. The handle, from the hinges, adds about another 7" The basket weighs a bit over 1 lb 11 oz. The underneath ares have quite a bit of tarnish. Antique Victorian Pairpoint Quadruple Plate Brides Basket w/ Cut Glass Bowl
This Pairpoint bride's basket measures 11 1/4" in height and 10 1/4" at the widest part of the handle. The pedestal base has a diameter of 4 5/8" and will fit a bowl with a bottom rim of approx. 3 3/4" The basket is stamped on the underside- PAIRPOINT MFG CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE- 4732 1/2" and has the'P' inside of a diamond logo(pic#5) I am unsure of when this piece was made but Pairpoint advertised a very similar pattern on smoking accessories in 1908. There is some wear to the plate on the handle(pic# 6.7) The cut glass bowl has a diameter of 7 1/4" and measures 3 1/4" in height. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to the bowl; however, there is a small"flea bite" pic#10,11) on the side of the bowl and straw marks/ air bubbles can be seen in the base(pic#12) Both pieces will be packaged ... moresafely. Antique Quadruple Plate Brides Basket Ornate Footed Basket With Floral Designs Made About 1900's Nice Antique Condition DESCRIPTION: Up for your consideration is a very nice antique bridal basket. This basket is about 100 years old. Made by Pairpoint Manufacturing Co. This basket is made of Quadruple Silverplate. Very nice ornate designs all over this piece. There is a name engraved in the center of the piece(See pics) The manufacturers name is printed on the bottom. Item appears in overall good shape for its age. It could use a good polish as of right now it ... moreis in tarnished condition. I noticed one of the scalloped edges is a little bent. See Pics) What you see is exactly what you get so please use pics as part of the description. Item is sold as is. No returns. Refunds or exchanges on this item. If you have any questions or if you would like to see more pictures, please just ask. SIZE: Measures approx. 10 1/2 inches round by about 9 inches tall when the handle is in upright position. CONDITION: Basket is in overall good condition. Item is tarnish and could use polished. At least one scalloped edge is a bit bent. Sold as is only. Antique Pairpoint Silverplate Basket Quadruple Plate 2907 1/2" Another beautiful object from grandma's house. This came from her estate in 1996. It has a beautiful swan on the inside and grapevine design on the edge. It has a maker's mark on the bottom and a number. It also has a label about the finish. It is an unusual shape about 4 1/2 inches across at the narrowest and about 6 inches from corner to corner. About 1 1/4" deep and 4 1/2" high with handle. It does need cleaning. Thanks for looking.
