The handle of the basket features the figure of a stag/deer; there are also two pheasant figures on the edge of the basket. The bowl of the basket features a mostly hand-engraved leaf design. There is wear to the plating. Especially on the handle(where much of the base metal is showing through) Please see our photos below and use them as your guide. It is marked“Made in England“ Under the edge of the top. The bottom of the vase is marked“Hallmark. H 3. There are also letters, which appear to be T U T E P in shields on the bottom. This lovely basket features a wonderful raised design. Including a faux chain that goes around the back. It has been engraved with the missive, Choice. The handle is pierced and has a floral vine. The basket has a scallopped edge and a rope border, and the end"dangle" above an engraved design of wheat and flowers. The center features oak leaves and acorns. Up for sale is an Antique Circa Early 1900s Silver Plated Engraved Reed& Barton Basket. This is approx. 12 in long by 7.5 in wide by 9 in tall to top of handle. It is marked on the bottom Plate Pat'd June 30 19(can't see the rest because of wear) Mfd& Plated by Reed& Barton Patent Applied For 2128. This is so neat with an engraved design of flowers and shapes in the middle and around the rims and the feet shaped like deer with the heads and hooves. Make sure to zoom in around the feet in the photos- it is really unique! This is in good condition with some slight overall finish wear and scratching. This is a lovely antique silverplate Cake Basket made by Forbes in the mid to late 1800s. It has engraved decor around its border. A swivel handle, and a floral medallion in the center. The bottom has"striped" decor. It measures 11" x 9&1/2" tall. It is in real fine condition. There may have been something at the top of the handle(which has 3 round bands that join at the bottom. The inside measurement(where the bowl would sit)is 7&1/2" wide. This displays to great advantage.

This is a rare and highly ornate piece of Barbour Bros. The signature Barbour Bros. Co. dates this piece between 1881 and 1890. Great detail all around with a hand engraved bird on a branch and the letter"S" inside the bowl. The handle is quite sturdy and the hinges work perfectly. There is a small dent on the top edge that does not deter from this exquisite piece. The measurements are as follows, 10" in diameter and 8 1/2" tall at the handle It has four sturdy legs that sit flat. Itm is quadruple plated and doesn't look to have been polished much. I think this would shine up nicely although the patina on the side detail looks great as is. Please ask questions before bidding.

The sides of the plate and base have an embossed berries, leaves and flowers design. The base unscrews from the top for easier carrying. The piece was likely originally sold as a Cake Basket and is very versatile as a cake stand. Dessert or card tray or as part of a floral arrangement. Inside the foot of the base is marked"Quadruple Plate, Rockford Silver Plate Co 1814" with the Rockford scales logo. The piece likely dates to the late Victorian Era. The piece measures 8 7/8" across the tray. 9 3/4" across the outer lip, 6 1/2" high to the tray and weighs 2 lbs 6.4 oz. The piece has no notable dings. Dents or bends.
