Here is a Beautiful Antique Brides Basket. I could not find a age of this. It is stamped on the bottom Monarch Silver Co. Quadruple Plate 797. It is in nice condition is tarnished.Has scratches,wear and handle needs to be tightened. I have no idea if it could be polished or not. Measure's with handle up about 8 1/2" high and is 8 5/8" across. I'm no expert on this but will answer any questions the best I can.Sold as is, so please ask questions before bidding,everyone words things differently. PAYPAL ONLY! ANTIQUE MIDDLETOWN PLATE Co. #499 BRIDES BASKET W/DECO HANDLE
Exquisite antique bride's basket manufactured by the MIDDLETOWN PLATE Co. Founded in 1864 and subsequently taken over by the International Silver Co. It is difficult to pinpoint it's exact vintage. It has been estimated that this piece is c. 1899 to the early 1930's. The craftmanship on this piece is stunning from it's embossed rim to the art deco handle. Most notable, are the handle's antique craft work swivel attachments. This piece is in excellent condition, no denting, very light scratching, and in need of polish. With handle in the down position, this basket sits approx. 2 1/2" high on a blunted pedestal. When measuring with handle up, the piece measures approx. 8" high. The diameter of the piece is 9 1/4" set on a 4 1/4" in diameter pedestal.

Absolutely Stunning Pairpoint Bride's Basket Quadruple Plate#B1210. Dimensions are: 11.5" in length. 7" wide and 3 inches high. Excellent condition. Lightly polished so I could determine condition. There is no loss of silver on this piece, in excellent condition, especially for its age. I believe this was made around 1910. There is one scratch on the inside but due to the quality of the quadruple silver plate, it does not go through to the base metal, see picture 10. Marked on the bottom, Pairpoint mfg. Antique dated 1903 along with the maker which I cannot make out-but there is a photo supplied for you& perhaps your eyes are better than mine& can make out this maker. It does have used vintage wear, some wear to the silver plate in places, not bad in my opinion& can be used as it is but please look at all photo's as they are part of the details& description. James Dixon & Sons Old Sheffield Handle Brides Basket Silver Copper 1835-1920
This is a silver plate over copper brides basket with handle.It is marked on the bottom James Dixon& Sons Sheffield.And marked on the under side D S 1203 and a marking on the opposite under side BV. It has beautiful trumpet style flowers and leaves on the inside basket and raised grapes and leaves around the edges and the handle.From the research I did this marking that is on the bottom was used from 1835-1920.It is made with Old Sheffield Plate(silver over copper) The basket to the top of the handle is approx. 12" and it is 13" wide by 11"It has a place on the handle for monogramming.It is a really stunning looking piece.It does have some of the silver worn away on the bottom inside so it exposes the copper,but still looks lovely.Please email me if any questions. Beautiful Large Vintage Silver Basket With Handle-By Homan-Circa 1903 This is an elegant. Quadruple silverplated, large silver basket for florals. In the early years, this type of basket was sometimes used for live flowers, and thus the name"Bride's Basket. In today's usage, the flowers would probably be"silk" floral arrangements, so as to avoid the water. The baskets also show off fruit arrangements very well for that special centerpiece. Groups of sculpted silver flowers are arranged around the edge of the basket. And on the handle. The handle is not designed to stand up on its own, but swings freely from one side to the other. There are no monograms, or dents. There is some small water damage to the inside bottom of the basket. In use, these would never show. Please see the photos below. The basket has a very attractive ... morecut-out design. And would make a wonderful display on any table. It is larger than most. Others are much smaller and plainer in design.
