Here is a Beautiful Antique Brides Basket. I could not find a age of this. It is stamped on the bottom Monarch Silver Co. Quadruple Plate 797. It is in nice condition is tarnished.Has scratches,wear and handle needs to be tightened. I have no idea if it could be polished or not. Measure's with handle up about 8 1/2" high and is 8 5/8" across. I'm no expert on this but will answer any questions the best I can.Sold as is, so please ask questions before bidding,everyone words things differently. PAYPAL ONLY! Antique Simpson Hall & Miller triple silver plated brides basket #1492
Offered is a fantastic antique Simpson. Hall& Miller Silver Co. brides basket. This basket was made in the last half of the 19th century and was triple plated to ensure it's lasting beauty. The bowl is scribed with a fantastic fan design and the outer edge has a delicate starburst type design all the way around. The bowl measures about 8" across the inside and the base has a diameter of 5" The lip is 6 3/4" tall and the handle adds another 6 1/2 to the top of the finial which makes the overall height approx. 13" This is a beautiful example of 19th century workmanship.

Derby CT Quadrupleplate. It measures approx. 9 1/4" across and 5 1/4" high(10" high with the handles. It is in shabby chic condition with plate loss and scratches from loving use over the last 100 years or so. We found this history on the Derby Historical Organization's site online(great site! The Derby Silver Company was founded in 1872. And began operations on Shelton's Canal Street one year later. The company soon outgrew its quarters and constructed a larger building, which still stands on Bridge Street, Shelton, in 1877 near the Housatonic River, overlooking Derby. A number of additions were added in subsequent years. The original Canal Street building was razed when the railroad was built through Shelton in 1888. The company made toilet articles. Mirrors, combs, clocks, brushes, table and flatware, tea sets, children's cups, loving cups(trophies) candlesticks, fruit baskets, dishes, basically anything which was plated by or made of silver. 19th Century Victorian Brides' Basket. Marked James W. Tufts Boston Warranted, Quadruple Plate, with a mark 128 and a 6. There is an etched number of 25725 as well. This is a very fancy stand with elaborate decoration. The bowl is 10 1/2” Diameter in a light mauve color with ruffled and corrugated rim and very skillfully hand-painted in a floral pattern. There are two innocuous hairline cracks in the clear inside casing only. The white outside casing is unaffected(see red dots) Otherwise the Brides' Basket is in Excellent Condition with the silver plate and the metal unflawed. This is a fantastic silver plated huge bride's basket. There is no makers mark. It has floral engraving within the basket and raised thick art nouveau trim around the bowl and handle. The bale is attached with fine quality tube and pin method. It has a pedestal base. There are two areas where the plating is worn. See photos, and two other small spots. There is one scratch. The outside is almost perfect, overall is so beautiful the flaws don't interfere. It measures 12" outside edge to edge and 4" outside height, outside height with bale up is 10" Inside depth of basket is 2" I do not accept returns or give refunds. We are pleased to present this Victorian era Bride's Basket for your consideration. Made of Silverplate. The piece features an unusual Crowned Heads decoration around its ornate rim. The handle that once went over the top of this ... morepiece is missing(the holes where it connected are still visible) But the remaining Fruit Basket remains a charming and attention grabbing piece with a one-of-a-kind look. The Basket is 3-3/4 inches high and about 12-1/2 inches in diameter. Measured at the rim. The bottom of the base is 4-5/8 inches in diameter, and the Basket weighs 1 pound 13 ounces. There are two hand written marks etched into the finish. On the bottom, in the center, is what appears to be the numbers 247. To the side of the center section is another marking that reads Q5741. We have not been able to determine the manufacturer of this piece. The Basket has been polished and is quite shiny. But small areas of patina remain along with a few small spots of verdigris. Some light surface wear is found, but less than might be expected on a piece of this age. Other than the missing handle, there is no damage or repairs, and we rate the overall condition as very good(see pictures) This is a fantastic piece of Victorian Silverplate. Height to top of handle is about 11" Basket has a few dings on the rim and one on the underside. Base has a little bend but still sits nice and flat. No repairs are evident on the baske t or the handles. Basket has tarnish and wear to the silverplate and the etching on the inside bowl is well worn in some places. The finish on the undecorated portion of the handle is so well worn that a gold brass color is showing. Please review all pictures for complete condition. Exquisite antique bride's basket manufactured by the MIDDLETOWN PLATE Co. Founded in 1864 and subsequently taken over by the International Silver Co. It is difficult to pinpoint it's exact vintage. It has been estimated that this piece is c. 1899 to the early 1930's. The craftmanship on this piece is stunning from it's embossed rim to the art deco handle. Most notable, are the handle's antique craft work swivel attachments. This piece is in excellent condition, no denting, very light scratching, and in need of polish. With handle in the down position, this basket sits approx. 2 1/2" high on a blunted pedestal. When measuring with handle up, the piece measures approx. 8" high. The diameter of the piece is 9 1/4" set on a 4 1/4" in diameter pedestal.

Lovely. Ornate- so Victorian! Silverplate Bride's Basket In Victorian days. A very common and suitable gift for a young bride or bride-to-be would be a silver or silverplate Bride's basket. She would place it on the front table where it would soon be filled with well-wishes from family and friends. The main features of the basket are the handle and the wide rim. The basket is also somewhat raised on its base. So it appears very much like a real basket you might see made of straw and natural materials. This gorgeous quadruple silver plated figural stand was made by the Toronto Silver Plate Company between 1882 and 1913. It is marked"537" The hand blown Bride's Bowl has raised hand painted flowers on clear to cranberry glass. The figures are a gentleman bowing to his lady. Who is doing a curtsey. They have subtle gold accents. The silver stand is about 8" tall. The bowl is about 8.5" wide at the widest point. Overall, it's about 12.5" tall. The bowl has no chips or cracks that I can see. The silver stand has some minor pitting under the bowl, see photos. Some of the bolts holding the figures to the stand have been replaced and tightened. This beautiful antique is in remarkable cindition, considering it's age! It will make a wonderful addition to any collection.

DESCRIPTION: Offered Here is a fabulous super ornate Victorian Silverplate circa 1870s Pedestal Swing Handle Bride's or Cake Basket. This basket is an early Aesthetic Victorian era Basket produced and plated by the Reed& Barton silversmiths of Taunton. Mass. The silver craftsmanship is excellent. This basket is supper ornate in ornamentation and has gorgeous molded figural elements. Including three winged heads on the pedestal base where it meets the bowl and curled acanthus leaf feet attached to the pedestal base with a central spire. There is an outstretched Fox and bird prey on the handle. The interior of the bowl is adorned with deep chased birds on an Oak and acorn branch that is entwined with Grape vines with clusters of grapes. There are ... morealso chased leaves on the pedestal base and four large spires pointing down from the ribbed edge of the bowl. This basket stands approx 7" in height with the handle down and 13" with the handle extended. It is 10" in diameter and stands on an ornate 5" pedestal base. The underside is marked for Reed& Barton with a Patent date of 1871 for the ornamentation above the Reed& Barton stamp. There are no breaks or repairs. There are some scratches from use and some slight silver loss to be expected from age. There is also some remnants of an old type paste silver polish. Antique Footed Brides Basket from late 1800's when fb rogers was in Taunton. Ma. This is a fine piece with some scratches due it being used and old. There is no loss of silver plate just some tarnish that needs to be worked on if the new owner chooses. I like to see a little patina left to show it's age! If you can't see the maker's mark in the last picture it is Trademark 18(crown) 83 F.B.ROGERSSILVERCO Taunton,Ma. Quadruple and 0861.9 1/2" across.All of the joints that have been soldered are original and intact! The handle stands up by itself and is beautiful in the light. The feet are pierced with a finely made pattern that shows the kind of fine workmanship in that day and age. The edge is a rope pattern. I don't think this ever had a glass bowl or insert due the inscribed fancy J? in the center of the bowl. Notice ... morethe fine engraved flower and leave design on the inside as well. The bottom pedestal has alternating s cenes of what appears to be a young man& women. The bowl is a hexagon s hape and dips down somewhat where the handles me et the top of the bowl. I do believe it was mad e this way. It does have a few places of minor pit ting which are hard to see. Meas ures approx: 9" tall to the top of the han dle. The basket is 6" across at top of opening and the bottom pedestal is 4" across. It is approx: 4 1/2" from the top of the basket ... moreto the top of the handle. I am not sure what was in the bottom but I am going to leave up to the buyer to polish( although it is nice with the patina just as it is) or try to remove what i s in the bottom. This is a beautiful brides basket with an ornate quad plate frame by Wilcox Silver Plate Company. The frame is 8 ¾ inches tall and 9 ½ inches wide. The bowl was made by Stevens& Williams and is peachblow. The bowl is hand blown. Is 8 ¾ inches in diameter and 2 ½ inches high. It has an amber border. This set dates to the late 19 th century. The bowl is in excellent condition with no damage. The frame has no damage but it has lost some much of its silver as is common with quadruple plate.

Antique Wilcox Silverplate Quadruple Plate Handled Wedding Plate Brides Basket
This beautiful plate(or basket) is etched with a floral rose design. This style plate on a pedestal has been referred to as a Wedding Plate. Handled Brides Basket, Bridal Basket, Cake Basket, Calling Card Tray and a Brides Calling Card Basket. The mark on the bottom is a full circle and reads: Quadruple Plate, Wilcox Silverplate Co, Meriden, Conn and the#2772(I believe, the# is difficult to read) It measures approx 9" wide at the top, the plate is 5" tall, 11.5" to the top of the handle and 5.25" across the bottom of the base. The Wilcox Silver Plate Co. started in 1867. The company trademark(crossed hammers in full circle) remained in use through the acquisition of Parker& Casper Co. in 1869 and the formation of the International Silver Co. in 1898. The half circle mark was not used until the 1920's. This dates ... morethe plate between 1867 and somewhere in the 1920's. Putting it at 90 to 100+ years old. Considering it's age the plate is in great condition. There are some light scratches and a couple of small spots of silver loss in one area on the face of the plate(shown in photos) There are four tiny spots on the rim where the handle hits which seems to be common in this style plate. This brides basket is incredible and beautiful! PLEASE LOOK AT ALL 12 PICTURES)The basket sits on four rounded feet that are decorated with scrolls. Flowers and tiny leaves. Above that is a 1/4 inch band of scrolling work going all the way around. The mane band of the body has large campus leaves some round leaves, large flowers, small flowers and vines. Then there is another 1/4 inch band of scrolling work. The band that holds the glass bowl has a deep stripe pattern all the way around. The C shape connectors that connect the handle to the basket has flowers inside and out and round balls that connect it to the basket ring.The handle is a twisted handle. This silverplate basket has so much going on. It was made by Meriden, and marked on the bottom with an applied piece of silverplate Meriden silver plate Co. No 7017 and a lion holding a ... moretrophy in the middle, this mark dates it to(1869. There is no silver plate missing and no broken metal. This piece was sealed years ago to keep it from turning black, it can be removed by soaking in hot water over night then peal off. The glass fluted bowl was made by L.G.WRIGHT IN 1937. And it is marked with a M with a line in a circle.L.G. Wright Glass Company of New Martinsville, West Virginia, started selling glassware in 1937. Founder"Si" Wright contracted with Ohio and West Virginia glass factories to make popular pressed glass patterns, like Rose& Snow, Baltimore Pear, and Three Face, and opalescent patterns, like Daisy& Fern and Swirl. L.G. Wright items are marked with an underlined W in a circle. The bowl is a daisy and fern pattern it is opalescent and very ice blue. The glass is bright and the pattern is clear. Its original Wright glass! There are no chips, or breaks to this wonderful glass bowl.The glass bowl is 10 inch diameter by 3 deep. This silver plate brides basket is rare. Made by the F.F. SPYER CO. 1894, and marked with the maker and triple plate. The egg shaped circle in the back of the bowl is not there is the curve of the bowl and the flash of the camera.Perfect for the brides basket collector, or to serve your favorite pettifors stacked high, or cookies or candy. The basket is exquisite, it has an entire ruffled collar all around the basket.At the top of the ruffle where it attaches to the basket it has a very tight zipper like print into the silver plate.The inside of the basket has flowers, and leaves and vines all wheel cut in to the metal. It has four pierced feet with much decoration, berries and what looks like tiny oak leaves and at the top of each foot it looks like a half of a campus leaf.
