The base stands almost 10" and without one piece of wrapping it weight 5#s. The silver is in good condition ~ this is one fantastic piece of silver plate. Now for the bowl it is a Thomas Webb Peach Blow Gold Decorated Brides Basket Bowl with a Custard Interior. Peachblow outside decorated with Ferns& Flowers, with an Amber Applied ruffeled ... moretop. The bowl measures 4 1/2" tall x 7" wide x 11 1/2" corner to corner. Fitter ring insert is 4 1/2" I believes this to be decorated from Jules Barbe. The bowl l weighs 3#s unpackaged. Interior glows under U.V. light. Displays beautifully. The condition of the bowl ~ concave polished pontil with an approx. 2" area on base of bowl where in the making there an area the bowl did not fill in the making, but is covered by the clear glass covered it, its smooth, if you have questions about this or have concerns ask before you bid. There is a flat flake on one corner of amber rim-more felt than seen, does not effect the integrity of the bowl. There are huge flowers& fruit all around the figures and the detail is of the best we have seen. Even the hinged handle has tiny birds on each side of the hinge. RUBINA ACID ETCH FLORAL BRIDES BASKET FIGURAL SILVER PL Lovely Re- silvered Derby Silver Plate Figural Cherubs on this very intricately decorated Large Brides Basket Frame with a drop dead beautiful Rubina Acid etched Bowl. This one definitely tugs at my heart strings. I purchased the frame about 12 years ago it's been sitting here waiting for a bowl. And let me tell you finding a mate for this is not easy! This is about as good as it gets! The Figuaral Silverplate Basket has been resilvered with the normal scratch marks on the base for the silverplater ~ the frame stands almost 14" tall. Measures 10-1/2 wide at its widest point with an inside opening of 9-1/2" It has a raised base that measures about 4-3/4" There are for elaborately decorated feet, and the base is adorned with flowers and leaves. The handle has trailing ... moreflowers and vines and two CHERUBS holding a ball with a heavy twisted handle. The Rubina Bowl is heavily acid etched with flowers. The bowl measures 9" across and stands3-1/2" tall with optic lines and a nicely ground pontil. The bowl has no chips, cracks or repairs. When I tell you its beautiful it does not describe it! Now read the fine print ~ I put this together(all sets are put together since most silver manufacturers& glass houses did not cross over so they purchased frames from catalogs, jewelry stores or directly from the manufactures and they were early marriages. This one is a little lose because the foot of the bowl does not fit completely to the bottom of the basket. Antique Silverplate Bride's Basket Wilcox Quadruple 875 Ornate Figural Deer Bird
From a local estate. Here is a very old silverplate bride's basket. Marked"Wilcox Silver Plate Quadruple Plate 875" on the bottom, the basket is about 12 X 8 and stands 13.5" tall with the handle upright. Very ornate, features a figural bird on the handle and a deer under the basket. It sits a little cock-eyed but no breaks or repairs. A preliminary polish revealed heavy tarnish- it looks like the main body will not polish up but some of the decorative elements are silver plate and may get better. However, there are plenty of heavy spots of tarnish and oxidation too- probably best to enjoy this one in your shabby decor rather than with the good silver. ANTIQUE VERY RARE 1800'S FIGURAL BRIDES BOWL BASKET
This gorgeous quadruple silver plated figural stand was made by the Toronto Silver Plate Company between 1882 and 1913. It is marked"537" The hand blown Bride's Bowl has raised hand painted flowers on clear to cranberry glass. The figures are a gentleman bowing to his lady. Who is doing a curtsey. They have subtle gold accents. The silver stand is about 8" tall. The bowl is about 8.5" wide at the widest point. Overall, it's about 12.5" tall. The bowl has no chips or cracks that I can see. The silver stand has some minor pitting under the bowl, see photos. Some of the bolts holding the figures to the stand have been replaced and tightened. This beautiful antique is in remarkable cindition, considering it's age! It will make a wonderful addition to any collection.

Oblong bowl, with a clear ribbon top on the ruffled rim with a satin finish and a ground and polished pontil, c.1880's. While Harry Northwood was working for Hobbs, Brockunier& Glass Co. he brought the technology and manufacturing expertise for many art glass bowls Hobbs produced. He probably incorporated this in to his Martin's Ferry operation. The bowl appears to me that it could be a product of either operation. The bowl is about 4`1/2" tall ~ 11-1/4" long, and 7-3/4" wide. I can only speculate as to the purpose, and I feel it must have held a bowl or basket, such as a brides basket. the base has a ram, a baby sheep and a bird. around the top where the bowl would sit, are grapes and leaves. the base is like rocky ground. the best description is the photos, so please take your time and view the pictures. the piece is 7.5" tall and the top is about 6.5" wide. condition is wonderful. This brides basket is stunning! It has three winged putti and they are holding on to the middle of the lower part of the basket.They are nude except for a tiny leaf covering their fronts.Their back sides are showing. The bottom of the basket has a leaf in the middle and their toes are attched to it. The bowl of the basket is flutted all the way around. When you look at it from the top it looks just like a flower. The center of the silverplate bowl has a sean on two diffrent sides. On one side there is a house and trees and mountains. On the other side there is flowers and leaves and a tiny blue bird. This piece has so much going on.No damage to the piece we can find and the silverplate seems to be 85 per cent there maby more. The mark is under the tiny leaf and hard to read but i know what it is it says Rogers and Brothers Tripple plate and ... morein the middle of a circle it has a hand with lightning coming from it. Its very worn and im sure there was a number but i can not read it. This mark dates it to 1860. This piece was professionally sealed years ago to keep from cleaning it so often. It is starting to turn dark in some places. The sealer can be removed easy with hot water. The bowl inside is carinival glass, green is the base color then looking at it it has many colors pink, purple,dark blue,gold, A lot of color hews. The only damage i can find to the bowl is a tiny sliver chip on one of the flutted areas on the rim.Hard to film. No maker mark on the bowl. This terrific piece has full elephant heads and trunks up it has an india feel to it. The frame stands 7-1/2" tall with the bowl its 12" tall. The holder on the inside of the frame has some sodering on it has no effect on the intregity of the stand. There are 3 rings on the bottom of the stand which could have originally had a chain on it. But its now missing, personally I think it would make it too busy. Now the bowl Cranberry to Milk Glass ribbed decorated with fruit both inside and out. One of the prettiest bowls I've seen in a while. The total height is 13" tall and is truly an elegant piece. The condition of the frame the silver appears to be in good condition with minimal plate loss. The bowl had been weighted on the bottom with plaster of paris and green felt was placed over it. This is a stunning Pairpoint Victorian Silverplated handled cake basket. It has three-dimentional cherries and leaves in the bottom. Figural bird handles and flower decorated feet. It is 11" across one way and 14"across the other way with the handles. With the handle raised it is about 11" high. It is in lovely condition with no dings, missing parts or other damage. The hinge on the handle works fine. To tell you the truth I don't know whether I had it resilvered or not since I have owned it a long time. The mark on the bottom reads: Pairpoint Mfg. Co. Estate Vintage silver over copper Unique antique ornate repousse bowl or basket Very unique figural Repoussé antique silverplate bowl/ basket with interesting square metal on top. It is a little askew as shown) 7 and 1/2 inches high and 4 inches in diameter. The silver has almost completely worn off. Leaving a warm, copper patina, which I think is really beautfiul! I have a few estates I am handling this summer, this one, which had a lot of sterling silver, picture frames, linens, and other decorative antique items, and an estate of vintage jewelry and vintage Cowboy items, clothing, shoes and handbags from a female rancher in California. Victorian Silver Plate Reed& Barton Brides Basket Stand This beautiful brides basket stand is decorated from top to bottom. Bunch of grapes with leaves top the twist rope style handle. The bowl is etched with a lovely bunch of flowers held together with a bow and a butterfly floats above. The outside of the basket is embossed with cherubs. Birds and floral sprays and is held up by a cherub seated on a pillow. I'm not sure why or how but there is a beautiful all over carnival glass like sheen, very pretty. Displays beautifully as is or could be polished or resilvered. This unusual piece has applied flowers and leaves on each side of the handle which is accented by large beads at the top. The sides of the bowl are accented with a pattern of beads and bars. The surface of the bowl is embossed and engraved with birds. Butterflies and strawberries, and each of the feet features a handsome stork. It's a wonderful find! It fits like a glove and is a rich deep shade of Red Cranberry Glass. The Basket overall is in amazing all original condition with little signs of wear and certainly no cracks, dents or repairs to the frame and no chips, cracks or repairs to the glass bowl. The Basket makes for a beautiful display and is a nice practical size for modern use measuring 7" tall to the top of the bail handle by 8-1/4" wide or 2-1/2" tall at the edge with the bowl measuring 1-1/2" deep. Dec. 19, 71. We believe the date to be 1871. The basket features angels or putti balancing the bowl on the basket on there wings and a finial on the top of the handle which appears to be a cat. The basket stands 15 inches tall to the top of the finial and 8.75 inches tall to the rim. There are no monograms or repairs and the design is excellent. The rim of the basket measures about 10 inches across. The inside or center of the basket shows wear so please look at the pictures before bidding. I nsurance is included in the cost of shipping. Vintage Reed & Barton Silverplate Figural Cake Stand--Bride’s Basket-Centerpiece
Beautiful vintage Reed& Barton silverplate pedestal cake stand. Brides basket, or center piece, about 6 1/2" tall to the edge of the bowl, about 12" tall with the handle in upright position. The pedestal is stepped& simplistic, heavy so as not to tip. The edge of the basket has moldings of swirling leaves& vines. The design inside the bowl are two bundles of bleeding hearts gathered together with ribbon-very Art Nouveau! The swivel bail or handle is tubular shaped and has a loop in the upper center with a leaf with high relief. On the bottom is a hand engraved number of 3745 and the letter V. It is also stamped GILT MED( PLATED REED& BARTON 3515. It is in very nice vintage condition, with tarnishing, fine surface scratches from use& storage and some tiny dings along the rim of the bowl. Gorgeous antique silverplate basket with opaline bowl. The basket is superb in detail having an ornate pierced design around bowl with intricate filigree/lace like trim along the edges. The basket rests on four fabulous figural dolphin fish feet. The handle too is wrapped with ribbon like strands that have an ornate pattern. White opaline glass liner insert. The only mark I can find on the silver basket is the number 1987. Possibly of French origin. Measures about 8.5" tall by 9.5" x 7" wide. Very good condition for age. Monogrammed handle top. Fabulous Antique Barbour Silver Co. GLASS LINED FANCY SILVER PLATE CONDIMENT SERVER FIGURAL OPEN WORK DECORATION From a Connecticut Estate Auction comes this Antique FANCY GLASS LINED FIGURAL SILVER PLATE CONDIMENT SERVER by Barbour silver Co. The body of the basket is wonderfully decorated with men and women in different settings with a swing handle decorated with floral and foliate elements. This is in excellent used condition with beautiful handle mounts. This stands about 6" tall to the raised handle. 2 7/8" tall to the top of the bowl with the handle down and about 5 1/2" wide at the handle connections. The handle is stiff enough so that it will stay in any position and both the silver plate and glass bowl. Which I believe to be original, are in excellent used condition with no plate loss, cracks, chips or other defects ... morethat I note. Barbour was founded in Hartford. CT in 1892 and was one of the founding members of International Silver Co. in 1898. All of my silver has been lightly polished for its photo shoot but can always benefit from additional polishing. Antique Barbour International Silver Plated Repousse Flower Basket Figural
Thought this was quite striking at a recent estate sale I attended. Needs a polish but up for your consideration from Barbour International with its trademark Windmill with a Pipe on either side on the bottom is an antique silver plated repousse flower basket style number 3732 is also on the bottom side. The top part of the vase/basket is rolled over. Including the handle of the basket this vase stands 13" tall. The bottom base is 3 3/4" The scenes are typical farm scenes of the age when this basket was made including a man playing the fiddle. A man and his ox plowing the field, a woman tending to a small child and many more scenes depicted. Do not see any repairs to the handle or any scuffs or knicks. As I said it does need a polish! This piece has a few issues. First 2 of the legs have separated from the spacer(I don't' know exactly how to describe that piece see the last 2 photos) causing the spacer to be crooked(please see photos 7 thru 10) the handle on 1 side is bent at the bottom, and about 1" of the flat rim overlay over the handle has separated from handle proper, some wear to the plating in spots. Welcome to my auction for this most unusual and handsome 19th century Victorian Bride's Basket. Holder is triple plated silver with a. Rarely seen yet charming, three dimensional figural bird perched on each handle. Clearly marked on the inside of bottom rim TRIPLE PLATE- B BROS. Which clearly indicates it was plated three times. Intricate reticulated sections surround the holder. And decorative geometric repousse workmanship on base and upper rim. Glass bowl is a muted yellow on the inside with hand painted pink roses and white on the outside. Outer most edges are clear and delicately ruffled. Bowl fits perfectly inside holder which leads me to believe it is original to this piece. 19th Century Reed& Barton. Wonderful Aesthetic Movement silverplated serving piece with figural owl and tree branch design. This large basket was made by Reed& Barton of Taunton. Massachusetts and dates from the 1880s. The footed dish features a large arching swing handle and would work well as a fruit basket. The outer sides of the dish are decorated with detailed brickwork and feature birds, insects, raspberries, flowers, and salamanders. Up for auction is a fantastic victorian silver plate figural brides basket by meridan silverplate co. No 7015 with a gorgeous cased bowl which is also marked with the numbers 1023/9 700. Silverplate basket is in excellent condition. Bowl does have an age crack which can be seen from the inside only. The crack is long and at one point in time some dark spots formed under the inside surface near it. There is also four figural feet on the silverplate bowl. This is part of an estate and the bowl& basket have been together a very long time. The crack can only be seen on the inside not from the outside. It can also be seen on outside bottom of bowl. Both pieces look beautiful together. Basket overall measures 13" high x 11" across.

An unusual silver plated tazza with tripod feet featuring paw finials and classical busts. As well as a bird on the ring swing. The interior of the tazza is decorated with an engraved stylized floral pattern, and the edges of the tazza are decorated with small bird shapes and knobs. The piece is fitted with a handle decorated with a stag's head shape. Overall a very interesting piece with lots of dainty details.
