The glass bowl is one of the nicest that I have seen. It has fabulous Enamel Decorations, of leaves and floral detailing. It measures approx 12-1/2" diameter. It is in Excellent Condition- I would call it perfect albeit a most minor flat spot on the rim that appears to be a manufacturing nuance, not damage. I have looked at this with a magnifying glass and it is obvious after observing this first hand that it is not a chip but a flat spot somehow done during manufacture. Although extremely difficult to view, I have a pic of the area shown in my last pic. The frame is in Excellent Condition. Made of Quadruple Silver Plate by the Wilcox Silver-Plate Co. It stands approx 10-3/4" tall and approx 12-3/4" across. Both the decorated bowl and the Silver-Plate frame are gorgeous. The item comes direct from the collection of an area advance collector. Sold to me when settling her estate. The underside of the bowl bears a sticker that either she attached or was the sale price back in the day. Beautiful Victorian antique brides basket. Silverplate frame with lovely aesthetic scrolling pattern on the sides and handle. Beaded edgeing. The art glass insert is milk glass with shades of purple on the ruffled border and clear glass edging. The silverplate is monogrammed- looks like G and HW and dated 1899. Made in Canada by the Toronto Silverplate Co. The basket measures 10 1/4" across the handle and 12 1/2" high. Very good condition with no chips or cracks. Minor age appropriate surface polishing scratches on the silverplate. I will be happy to give shipping quotes.

The Silver Plate Frame is quite wonderful with fabulous large fully figured Strawberries and Leaf designs and great cast designs around the base. The Glass Bowl is equally as nice being done in most unusual Pressed Pattern and featuring a rich Amber upper section with very fine Acid Etched Floral designs all around. The Silver Plate frame is in good all original condition with no breaks or repairs. It just shows a lot of wear and would be perfect for having replated. The Frame and Bowl are original to eachother, having come down through one family for generations. The Glass Bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs except for a Flake chip to the Stem. The Bride's Basket is a large and impressive size measuring 9-1/2" tall by 12-1/2" wide overall, the Bowl itself measures 8" wide by 4-1/4" tall, not counting the stem. Lovely Hartford Silverplate brides basket measures 8 1/2" tall and 9" wide. The base of the frame is 5 1/2" in diameter. The glass bowl is original to the base and has an extended base to fit down into the top of the frame for a secure fit. The frame has some silverplate wear. Vintage Victorian Webb Glass Peach Blow Brides Bowl & Meriden Basket A Beauty!
This is a vintage Victorian. I believe Webb Glass peach blown bridal bowl and basket. The basket says it is, Made and Guaranteed by Meriden B Company, 1738. The basket measures 11 1/4" tall x 5 3/4" in diameter at the base. The bowl measures 11 3/4" in diameter. It has a clear opalescent glass rim and a semi-polished pontil on the bottom. It is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repair. It does have a couple of bubbles. The basket could use a polishing, but is otherwise in very good condition. It is listed in my store. If it sells for close to full price I will ship it free with insurance. I have many items up for auction& am happy to combine shipping. Thanks for looking! This silver is openwork scrolled frame of climbing ivy with leaves that gracefully form a basket shape. The frame in sturdy with three balled feet and a solid handle with engraved floral design and it is imprinted'Made in England' The bowl measures approx. 10" in length by 5 1/2" in width and 4 1/2 in height. The Serving Bowl is the only example I have had the pleasure to sell with a Blue Opaline Glass insert. In many years and I am sure is quite a Rare find indeed. The Basket Frame features very nice Grape and Vine designs with fancy feet and a lovely Bead pattern Bail Handle, which yes stays up on it's own for display. The Blue Opaline Glass Liner is the original to the frame and fits like a glove. The Outside is Satin Glass and the interior is glossy. The Basket is overall in very fine all original condition with a couple tiny splits in the frame which I am sure could easily be re-soldered and no dents or bends with the Glass Bowl showing wear scratches to the interior and some remnants of painted designs on the outside but no chips, cracks or repairs. The Basket makes for a beautiful display and is a nice practical size for modern use measuring 7" tall to the top of the bail handle by 8-1/4" wide or 2-1/4" tall at the edge with the bowl measuring 1-1/2" deep. Here is one of the finest antique Victorian brides basket sets you'll ever find. It has everything going for it! It includes a basket, sugar, and creamer, all in hand painted, ruffled crest, cranberry opaline glass. All three pieces have a ground pontil base, creamer has an applied amber glass handle. All feature a hand painted floral design on exterior(interior basket has design also) The basket measures 9 3/4" long x 6 5/8" wide x 4 1/2" high. The creamer measures 5 1/2" long(handle to spout) x 4 3/8" wide x 3" high, sugar measures 5 1/2" long x 3 3/4" wide x 3 5/8" high. The creamer does not sit flat, but sits fine in the holder. There is light wear to the hand painted decorations, otherwise all three are in very fine to great condition with no chips or cracks. The silverplated holder features ... morea very ornate overall motif with flowers and scrolls. It is marked; QUADRUPLE PLATE WARRANTED, AURORA SP.MFG.CO. 2400. It measures approx. 13" long x 10 1/4" wide(round handle) x 13" high. There is a side leaf missing on the large basket holding section(pictured) with overall age tarnish(needs polishing) otherwise it is in VERY GOOD condition. This would have been the master basket set at the head table in fine Victorian functions such as a wedding. It is quite a great example of antique Victorian glass work and should not be missed. This large brides basket is incredible and beautiful! PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES) The basket sits on four rounded feet that are decorated with scrolls. Flowers and tiny leaves. Above that is a 1/4 inch band of scrolling work going all the way around. The main band of the body has large campus leaves,some round leaves, large flowers, small flowers and vines. Then there is another 1/4 inch band of scrolling work. The band that holds the glass bowl has a deep stripe pattern all the way around. The C shape connectors that connect the handle to the basket has flowers inside and out and round balls that connect it to the basket ring.The handle is a twisted handle. This silver plate basket has so much going on. It was made by Meriden, and marked on the bottom with an applied piece of silver plate Meriden silver plate Co. No 7017 and a lion holding ... morea trophy in the middle, this mark dates it to(1869. There is no silver plate missing and no broken metal. This piece was sealed years ago to keep it from turning black, it can be removed by soaking in hot water over night then peal off. The glass fluted bowl was made by L.G.WRIGHT, And it is marked with a M with a line in a circle.L.G. Wright Glass Company of New Martinsville, West Virginia. Founder"Si" Wright contracted with Ohio and West Virginia glass factories to reproduce popular pressed glass patterns, like Rose& Snow, Baltimore Pear, and Three Face, and opalescent patterns, like Daisy& Fern and Swirl. L.G. Wright items are marked with an underlined W in a circle. The bowl is a daisy and fern pattern it is opalescent ice blue. The glass is bright and the pattern is clear. Its original Wright glass! There are no chips, or breaks to this wonderful glass bowl.The glass bowl is 10 inch diameter by 3 deep. The silver plate basket is 10 1/2 wide by 11 1/2 tall, the inside open circle is 4 1/2 diameter. This is a wonderful piece of history for Meriden as well as L.G. WRIGHT. The color is showing up a little too dark in my photos- the blue is a very soft blue. Ruffled rim has a very narrow crest. There is a polished pontil mark on bottom. Glass bowl measures 8 3/4" x 8 7/8" across. The rim stands 3 1/4" tall at highest point. Footed silverplate basket stand features flourishes. Florals and leaves on ring and feet. The design on the sides looks like cherries and leaves. Marked Stevens Silver Co. Portland ME Quadruple Plate- company was active in late 1890's. Later became Colonial Silver Co. Stands just over 8 1/2" tall. Overall width is approximately 8" across. I see a few stretched air bubbles and a couple ... morevery tiny dark specks in glass bowl. No chips or cracks found. It looks like the silverplate has worn on part of the twisted metal basket handle. I did not polish the metal- selling as found at local estate sale. Buyer may desire additional cleaning/polishing. This is such an exquisite piece of Silver(Plate) made by Barbour a division of International Silver Co. note hallmark) It is referred to as a"bride's basket" but with it's glass dish- would be ideal for compote. Candy, etc. The Repousse scene is Dutch and in fabulous condition. This comes from an estate of three elderly sisters who traveled extensively-hence the take on the country side of which I am certain they related to. It measures 5.5" wide x 5" height x 1" deep. Gorgeous 19th Century Bridal Brides Basket, Antique Glass HP Bowl, Silverplate
Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian 19th century bride's basket with hand-painted cased glass fluted bowl and quadruple silverplated holder with ornate handle. The color on the upside of the bowl begins with a clear edge then flows from dark rose to pale pink and very pale pink in the center. Yellow dots. Flowers, and scrollwork and blue and white flowers are all handpainted: You can feel the depth of the paint, which is in very good condition. Silver color leaves also grace the bowl, but some of this paint seems to have faded. I see no chips or cracks in the glass bowl. There are minute spots of what looks like ash on the all-white bottom; there is also a bubble in the finish of the upside that looks and feels a bit like a pimple and is about the size of a pencil eraser; these are from the manufacturing process done more than one hundred ... moreyears ago. The quadruple silverplated basket was made by the New Amsterdam Silver Co. and has the number 2971 engraved in the bottom; the number 5446-x is etched into the bottom. The basket is in good condition but is in need of polishing. The base appears to have most of its silverplate intact with the exception of the inside of the base where the bowl sits; some parts of this have a greenish cast. The handle seems to have some silverplate loss as well as some minute pitting. All in all this is a wonderful piece for something that could very easily be 115 years old. Bowl is 11" in diameter at its widest. 3" high, and 3 1/2" across the base. Holder is 12 1/2" at its widest and 13" high. Please ask questions. This is a beautiful Brides Basket in Blue. Green, Yellow, and Clear glass. The base sits on four feet and has an extremely unique bail. It was made by EG Webster Co. and is marked with their Spider Web Star W and the number 237. The Spider Web mark was used by E G Webster(in its various forms. As EG Webster Manufacturing Co, E G Webster& Bros and E G Webster& Son from 1859– 1928. I believe this piece dates 1850- 1899. The silverplate frame is 7” tall and 12” wide. The glass basket is 4” tall. 8 3/4” long and 7 1/2" wide. The glass bowl is perfect. No chips, cracks or dings. T he silverplate base is in excellent aged condition. The piece was procured at an Antique Estate Auction in Central Kentucky.

I have up for sale an absolutely gorgeous vintage original circa 1880s 1890s Enameled Art Glass Ruffled Rim Brides Basket with Wilcox Quadruple Silver-Plate holder frame. The glass bowl is one of the nicest that I have seen. It has fabulous Enamel Decorations, of leaves and floral detailing. It measures approx 12-1/2" diameter. It is in Excellent Condition- I would call it perfect albeit a most minor flat spot on the rim that appears to be a manufacturing nuance, not damage. I have looked at this with a magnifying glass and it is obvious after observing this first hand that it is not a chip but a flat spot somehow done during manufacture. Victorian Brides Basket Silverplate Quadruple Plate Clear-Cased Peach Glass Bowl
For sale is a beautiful brides basket bowl sitting in an ornate handled quadruple silver plated stand. The fluted bowl is a gorgeous peach color all over except for a clear cased upper edge; there may be a peach case on top of the clear case or it's an optical illusion. I can't tell which. It's in excellent antique condition: No chips, breaks, cracks, or repairs. I do see bubbles and a couple of minute rough spots in the glass, all part of having been manufactured over a hundred years ago; there are scratches in the glass, but because I can not feel them, I think they might literally be IN the glass. The bowl is unmarked and has a smoothe pontil with one rough spot. It measures 8 1/2" across the top, 3 1/2" tall, and 3 7/8" across the base/foot. The stand is incredibly ornate with ribbed handles that form a knot ... moreat the top and have one strawberry and three sets of three leaves on each side. The handles connect in four places to a 6 3/4" round base base with a 4" diameter hole that receives the base of the bowl. The base has a ribbed bottom lip and four ornate feet. The stand is 12" at its widest and 10 1/2" tall. The base is marked, but unfortunately it is only a partial mark: Top. or Tor. Company Quadruple Plate 2 10. It is tarnished, but I believe most of the silverplate is present; it should polish up nicely. There are some scratches inside the basket where the bowl sits, but the stand is in otherwise excellent conditon. This will make a nice addition to your collection. A beautiful cased glass cranberry glass bowl with crimped and ruffled edge as well as silver crest edge trim. Measures 7 1/2 inch across at the widest points. 6 1/4 inch across at the crimped points, 3 3/8 inches tall and 3 3/8 inch base diameter. Condition is excellent as there are NO chips. Antique Victorian Webb Glass Peach Blow Brides Bowl & Basket A Phenomenal!
This is an antique Victorian. I believe Webb Glass peach blown bridal bowl and basket. The basket is not marked. The basket measures 11" tall x 5 11 3/4" wide and 3 1/2" in diameter at the base. The bowl measures 9 5/8" in diameter. It has a burgandy opalescent glass rim and a rough pontil on the bottom. It is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repair. It does have a couple of bubbles. The basket could use a polishing, but is otherwise in very good condition. It is listed without a reserve. Victorian Rogers Smith Co Meriden Silverplate Mt. Washington Glass Brides Basket
This lovely Silverplate and Enameled Art Glass Brides Basket measure about 10-5/8" in diameter and 3-3/8" tall when assembled. The Silverplate bottom has a bit of tarnish and maybe missing a handle. The mount was produced by Rogers. Smith& Co. around during the last quarter of the 19th century. The company was out of business by'04. We believe the basket was produced by Mt. Washington Glass co. It is unsigned. The glass has some enamel loss, but is largely in very nice condition with no chips or cracks. The bottom of the bowl does have a polished pontil as would be expected.

The hand blown opaque white bowl measures about 11 in. across and 3.5 in. high. The rim has exaggerated ruffled flutes terminating in amber coloration. What makes the bowl extremely unusual is that instead of sitting on the usual white metal frame with hoop handle. This has a heavy silver plated brass pedestal decorated with seperately assembled leaves and flowers and attached to the base with 3 numbered nuts that screw onto the stems. This type of work is usually seen on fine European metal table or mantle pieces. The pedestal stand on 3 shell like legs attached to a Greek key designed rim. An original unusual and I believe quite rare antique. Late19th century, victorian art glass brides basket featuring a heavy and high quality silverplated frame marked by James W Tufts Boston Massachusetts. The basket itself is of cased glass with a most unusual treatment of having a band of opalescent hobnails near its ruffled edge with the interior shading from a white to a red near the edge similar to that of Wheeling Peachblow. The art glass basket is free blown and has a pontil marked base and it measures approximately 9 1/2" in diameter. The silver plated frame measures 12" tall to the top of the handle. For sale is an ornate Victorian probably-quadruple silver plated bride's basket/stand with an exquisite ruffled cased-glass bowl. The pink glass starts dark at the ruffle and flows down to a pale pink at the center. The underside is white. This unmarked bowl measures 10 1/4" across at its widest. 3 3/4" at its tallest, and 2 7/8" across the foot, which has a ground, indented pontil. It is in excellent antique condition: No cracks, breaks, chips, or repairs; just some bubbles, pimples, a couple of slightly rough areas where the glass was bent for the sections of low ruffles, and 3 tiny spots of white color in the pink, all signs of having been manufactured more than a hundred years ago. This is NOT one of the Fenton reproduction bowls. The stand is unmarked; it stands 7 1/4" at its highest, 7 4/8" at its widest, ... moreand 3 3/8" across the inner part where the bowl sits. Brides Basket Art glass Ruffled top Cranberry on Silverplate stand
Beautiful silverplate bride's basket base with Cranberry and white art glass dish measuring 11 3/8" wide and 7 1/2" tall. The glass dish is attached with a silverplate bolt that fastens to the silverplate stand. The feet are very decorative. I can not find a makers mark on the silverplate. This piece is from an estate in Indiana and I believe that it was made in the late 1800's or early 1900's. There are no breaks or chips to the glass or the silverplate frame. Buyer to pay shipping. Antique Brides Basket silver plate over copper. Fantastic piece! The glass insert has even survived the years without any damage. The handle needs to be tightened up as it does not stay up. One side has a bit of a bend in it(see photo) Copper is showing through. But looks great. Stamped on the bottom. No signs of repair noted. No splits or cracks noted. Antique Victorian Bride's Basket c 1837- 1901 This gorgeous Bride's basket was purchased at a high-end estate sale. The basket is quadruple silver plated and I believe made by Webb. It measures approx. 14 1/2" high and 12 3/4" wide. It is marked on the bottom"quadruple plate with a"w" in the middle of a picture of a webb and has the number 0228" This basket has not been polished so it does look dark.I can just imagine how magnificent it would look polished! The glass basket measures approx. 10 3/4" wide and just about 4" high. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks! It is decorated with mostly gold vines& leaves. There are bunches of blue and white flowers and pink dots that also adorn the beautiful piece. Old Victorian Webster Silverplate Glass Brides Basket Bowl Stand / Strawberries
Here is an old antique silverplated Victorian Glass wedding bowl stand or basket made by EG Webster + Son. It is marked quadruple plate and number 110. It appears in good shape structurally. I can't tell for sure but the holder section in the center has 3 weld-like marks where it was reattached to the stand at some point. It has some small dents right in this area on the outside also. Otherwsie it seems okay. It all needs to be replated of course. The center round section measures 3 15/16 in inside diameter. Its about 7 1/4 inches tall at the handles. It measures about 9 1/8 inches tall from handle to handle. Nice strawberries and leaves design in underneath area. Would be quite nice redone. In the U.S. I accept Paypal only. For all you silver and quadruple plate collectors. I have this insert that fits one of those beautiful Victorian pieces. For a brides bowl, calling card dish, or something equally as nice. It is hand blown with a very fancy ruffled edge. Great condition with NO chips or cracks, just factory blemishes. I suppose the most critical part is the base diameter to see if it will fit one of your pieces. This is 2 3/16" or a teeny bit less. Then the bowl itself has an aprox. 6" to 6 1/2" diameter. The Green Opaline Glass Liner is the original to the frame and fits like a glove. The Outside is Satin Glass and the interior is glossy. The Basket is overall in very fine all original condition with no damage, chips, cracks or repairs. The Basket makes for a beautiful display and is a nice practical size for modern use measuring 5-1/2" tall to the top of the bail handle by 5" wide or 2-3/4" tall at the edge with the bowl measuring 2" deep. I could find no markings but this is quite typical of Victorian Period Silver. I don't think you will find many Green Opaline Victorian Bride's Baskets up for auction, let alone with no reserve! Rogers Silver Co. It measures 10 3/4 inches or 27.3 cm hig to the top of the handle. And is 9 inches at its widest. On either side of the handle is a full standing figure of a young girl wearing a bonnet. The base has 4 open work legs with a floral design, and around the holder is a bas relief floral design. Please note, this item does not come with a glas insert, it is as-is. The condition is very good; there are some minor surface scratches to the pieces and variations to the patina. Age appropriate. RARE Victorian French GREEN OPALINE Glass SILVER PLATE Brides Basket Bowl ROSES, This is a rare circa 1890 French green Opaline glass bowl in the original silver plated repousse basket. The basket features filigree roses with branch and leaf design and three scroll feet. The handle has a central flower and is attached tightly. There are no breaks or repairs with just a slight bend to the metal which I did not try to straighten. The French Opaline glass bowl is a rare bell shape and has no chips cracks or repairs. Measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and about 6 inches tall including the handle. This is a beautiful victorian piece. See my other opaline listings and combine your shipping costs. I take great care in packing every item and have been shipping chandeliers worldwide for over 10 years. I purchase bubble wrap. Please be aware that this lovely antique Sheffield silver plated metal basket has been enamel painted over(should you wish to remove the enamel paint. It would not take much effort, and a common household paint stripper would be recommended) The original condition of this basket has extreme plate loss, where the copper is revealed(especially to the top inner bowl surface) and the grape motif all over had a thick residue, to what resembled clumps of cement. I managed to soak this basket to dissolve this thick residue, and reveal it's true motif(if you are interested in viewing photos of this piece's original condition, I would be more that happy to enclose photos) There is also an small area to the inner top bowl surface that has cracks(see photos#7& 8 for this detail) however, poses no issue to fall apart, and lastly, a ding at the underside rim(see photo#9) and lastly, there at the underside base shows signs of repair(see photo#12 for this detail) The glass basket bowl hides the cracks to the inner bowl area extremely well! VICTORIAN MIDDLETOWN SILVER PLATE CO. - PINK CASED GLASS BRIDES BOWL or BASKET
Up for auction is a beautiful Victorian Berry or Fruit Bowl. Also known as a Brides Basket or Brides Bowl or Victorian Centerpiece bowl. This bowl is made from a beautiful rose or pink opaline-type glass cased with white glass and edged with gold or yellow translucent glass. This glass is sometimes referred to as peachblow but it is not. The edge of the bowl is ruffled and crimped. The bowl measures about 10" across at the widest and about 6" across at the narrow. It stands about 4" tall. The base of the bowl is 4.25" across at the foot. The bowl sits in a gorgeous silver plated frame made by the Middletown Plate Co. This frame is in wonderful condition. With almost no loss to the plate that I can see. There is residue from old lacquer and some light tarnish, but it should polish up nicely. The frame for this piece is ... morespectacular. It encompasses an apple at the top, cherries with stems and grapes. The detail on this is so finely done that it is a work of art in itself. The frame stands about 14.5" tall and is about 8.5" wide. The span between the handle(s) is about 7.5" approximately 3" up from the base. The base itself is 4.5" wide at the opening. I do not know if the bowl is original to the base as there is some play in the fit, but it does fit perfectly into the frame and when in place it sits well into the base so that it looks like a perfect match. The elaborate frame is a perfect compliment to the understated, but beautiful bowl. There is no damage at all to the glass; no chips, cracks breaks or repairs. The frame is clearly marked"Middletown Plate Co. and"Quadruple Plate" with the number 765 impressed. It is also stamped"Hard White Metal" Victorian art glass bowls such as this were often paired with elaborate brides basket frames(as they are called today) made by companies such as Meriden. Wilcox, James Tufts, Derby or Webster. I do not know who the maker of the bowl is. This could be a piece by Thomas Webb or one of the famous makers of
