Up for sale is an Antique Circa Early 1900s Silver Plated Engraved Reed& Barton Basket. This is approx. 12 in long by 7.5 in wide by 9 in tall to top of handle. It is marked on the bottom Plate Pat'd June 30 19(can't see the rest because of wear) Mfd& Plated by Reed& Barton Patent Applied For 2128. This is so neat with an engraved design of flowers and shapes in the middle and around the rims and the feet shaped like deer with the heads and hooves. Make sure to zoom in around the feet in the photos- it is really unique! This is in good condition with some slight overall finish wear and scratching. With some small nicks to the metal in places and a line around the top of the handle that could be a small crack. Place your best bid now so you don't forget and miss out! For sale is an antique elegant glass bowl and silver plated stand from Reed and Barton. The piece measures 9 3/4" across and stands 6 3/8" tall. The bowl is richly designed with birds in flight. Flowers, grapes, and scroll work. The bowl is in excellent condition and has a ground knob that fits into the center well of the stand. The stand appears to have its silver plating intact; it is tarnished, but should polish up well. Marked Reed and Barton on the glass and on the silver plated stand. Description: This auction is for one silver plated footed basket with soldiers decorating the handle and feet by Reed& Barton that is design patented March 30. 1869. The basket measures 4" tall at the soldiers' heads(2 1/2" at the basket rim) by 10 1/2" long by 7 3/8" wide. With the handle extended straight up the height of the basket is 8 3/4" tall. The basket is in very good estate condition for its age with minor plate wear on the bottom inside of the basket and one of the soldier's arms is broken off and missing. Elegant Vintage Antique Reed & Barton Silver Plate Bride's Basket with Bowl
This is a very elegant and beautiful silver plate bride's basket that comes with the glass bowl insert. This bride's basket was made by Reed& Barton which is imprinted on one of the 4 base feet. A number is imprinted on another foot that looks like 3540 The basket frame is very detailed and interesting. The glass bowl insert has a glossy white interior. The exterior is a rich reddish burgundy color with white flowers and birds scrolling around the raised edge. It has a gold trim around the top edge and a small glass peg extension is found in the center of the bottom which inserts into a hole on the frame for display stability. The glass bowl is in excellent condition. I find no chips. Cracks, flakes or flea bites. The silver plate frame is about 17" tall and 10" wide. The glass bowl insert measures about 9" wide ... moreand the edge extends up about 1.75" Many bride's basket come with just the frame work. It's harder to find one complete with the glass basket This bride's basket will display beautifully and would make an elegant unusual gift. MEASURES 13 1/2" LONG AND 8" WIDE HAS RETICULATED SIDES NEEDS CLEANING.
