This is a very fancy stand with elaborate decoration. The bowl is 10 1/2” Diameter in a light mauve color with ruffled and corrugated rim and very skillfully hand-painted in a floral pattern. There are two innocuous hairline cracks in the clear inside casing only. Gorgeous 19th Century Bridal Brides Basket, Antique Glass HP Bowl, Silverplate
Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian 19th century bride's basket with hand-painted cased glass fluted bowl and quadruple silverplated holder with ornate handle. The color on the upside of the bowl begins with a clear edge then flows from dark rose to pale pink and very pale pink in the center. Yellow dots. Flowers, and scrollwork and blue and white flowers are all handpainted: You can feel the depth of the paint, which is in very good condition. Silver color leaves also grace the bowl, but some of this paint seems to have faded. I see no chips or cracks in the glass bowl. There are minute spots of what looks like ash on the all-white bottom; there is also a bubble in the finish of the upside that looks and feels a bit like a pimple and is about the size of a pencil eraser; these are from the manufacturing process done more than one hundred ... moreyears ago. The quadruple silverplated basket was made by the New Amsterdam Silver Co. and has the number 2971 engraved in the bottom; the number 5446-x is etched into the bottom. The basket is in good condition but is in need of polishing. The base appears to have most of its silverplate intact with the exception of the inside of the base where the bowl sits; some parts of this have a greenish cast. The handle seems to have some silverplate loss as well as some minute pitting. All in all this is a wonderful piece for something that could very easily be 115 years old. Bowl is 11" in diameter at its widest. 3" high, and 3 1/2" across the base. Holder is 12 1/2" at its widest and 13" high. Please ask questions. Vintage Antique Silver Bridal Basket, candy nut flower bread serving dish
This vintage bridal basket has a dark varying patina. The only stamp I find is“2206" etched on the underneath of the base. No other hallmarks are visible to me. I believe this was silverplated and much of the plating has worn off over the years. But I am not sure- I just know I don’t see any stamp to indicate it is sterling silver although it is a heavy metal piece. I had this on display in my home for years but have not tried polishing it as I prefer the aged look of its’ patina. There are some decorative scroll and flower etchings inside the bowl part. These have a shinier silver look to them with some accents that appear similar to diamond cuts as they sparkle. Without the handle upright. This basket is 5.5" tall. With the handle upright it is 14" tall. The top of the basket is 9-1/4" across, the base is 5-1/8" ... moreacross. I do not claim to be an authority on any item. 18" height with handle and 10" length longest part. I cannot find the markings on this for the life of me. Family heritage piece. Old American based on the shape of the repousse/ stars shaped hand carved. It is a beautiful basket. Up for auction is a unique. Vintage, bridal/funeral basket. It has a very simple floral design on the inside of the basket, and a monogram which looks like an"M" in the center. What makes this basket so unique are the legs which are in the shape of deer heads and feet. It also has a very small picture of a man's head at the rim of one of the basket's ends. The basket measures approximately 10 x 8, and is 9 inches high with the handle up. It is very old, and only stands on three legs at a time because it is slightly bent. It also has some wear/black spotting in areas.

The feet of the basket have pretty grape leaves. It measures approximately 11 x7 1/2. And is 9 inches high with the handle up. There are a lot of markings on the bottom of the basket. It says the following: warranted quadruple plate, Homan Mfg Co with a picture of an anchor, made in usa#2527, special metal(with a picture of a beaker and hammer) patented December 22, 1903. It is in good antique condition, but does have some wear/black spotting(as seen in the pictures) This does not detract from the beauty of this basket.

QUADRUPLE PLATE, BOSTON, WARRANTED, 4302. The basket measures 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" at the widest sections. The handle measures 6 1/2" tall from the flat square section of the basket to the center of the handle. The whole thing measures about 7 1/2" to 8" tall from the bottom feet to the top of the handle. Up for your consideration is a beautiful Antique bridal basket holder. It has a stamp on it but I can't read the entire thing. It says_ silver plate co Boston and quadruple plate and the number 868. Because of its location its hard to read. Some of the designs are disconnected from the holder and need reattached. There is some bending of the holder and wear on the silver. E.G. Webster& Sons Silver plated base& glass bowl Measure: 11" D X 14" High Great piece! Very pretty white handmade glass bowl with white center and pink edge. The base and handle are silver plated. There is a mark on the underside of the bowl in pencil but it is hard to read. I can only make out"202" which matches the"202" on the silver base. Also marked on the silver base is a spider web behind a star with a W inside. I learned through research this mark belongs to E.G. Webster and Sons which produced between 1859- 1928. The bowl and the base are in excellent condition. There are no chips. Cracks or crazing on the bowl. There is a tiny flat spot less than 1/8" on the edge of the lip and a pointy piece on one edge and some red glass on the underside which seem to be all manufacturer's defects. ... moreThe base is tarnished but it completely stable and well made. I received this lot from an estate inheritance. It is a very nice Victorian Antique Quadruple Silver Plate Bridal Basket with Ornate Detailing. We believe this to be a Regence or a Regal Brand manufactured Bridal Basket[the hallmark on the bottom is visible and clearly exists but is different to read part of the print-there is definitely a crown hallmark on the bottom though] The number on the bottom of the bowl is 202. There is ornate footed detailing and an ornate handle with engraving inside the bowl itself[see pictures] The motif design is floral. This is a wonderful antique bride's basket made during the Victorian period by Wilcox Silver Company. It has a pretty grape and leaf border around the edge of the basket as well as a bunch of grapes dangling from the top of the handle. The basket has a pedestal base which gives it a nice. Elegant look. Bridal baskets fell out of favor right after the turn of the century. So pieces like this are true antiques. In addition, this basket is marked Quadruple Plate, a term most commonly used during the Victorian period. The maker's mark is Wilcox Silver Co, a company that was merged with International Silver in the late 1890s. This item is in good vintage condition with a minor tilt to the basket that could likely be wiggled into place if desired. It has heavy tarnish that actually looks lovely on this piece. Antique 1850s silver plate swing handle grape & leaf pierced bridal basket
Here is an antique Victorian silver plate swing handled bridal basket. This pierced or reticulated as well as molded and applied grape& leaf basket has all the bells and whistles of a Martin Hall made piece. This large 12 inch diameter basket. 9 inch tall to top of handle, and basket itself is 3 1/4 tall. Although its unmarked, the applied grape& leaf border is so intricately done, it was done by master craftsmen. Incredible relief to it. Weighing 1.13 lbs. this heavy piece looks so delicate, I tried photographing it in day light) There is an expert repair to the handle which is only visible on the underside of the handle. Up for auction is this antique Barbour silver plate Repousse bridal basket or center piece. It is stamped on backside 3727 and has the Barbour hallmark of two pipes and a windmill in the center of the two pipes. I have provided multiple photos that photos that show different designs and scenes. It made in the 1800's and there is absolutely no damage to this beautiful piece. This basket has not been cleaned or polished because I did not want to do anything to alter the patina.
