Apollo EPNS by Bernard Rice Sons Art& Crafts/ Art Deco Hand Hammered and Chased Silver Plate Basket Up for auction is a wonderful basket by Bernard Rice Sons. While it has some of the period border with some flourishes it also is hand hammered which reflects brings to mind the Arts& Crafts period. It is unique and in very good shape. It does not appear to have any noticeable plate loss or ding or dents. It just looks like it could do with a good cleaning. It is approximately 10 3/4" width x 7 1/2 height. It is hammered as well as chased which had to be pretty time consuming. With all that’s going on. When this basket is polished it really sparkles; So much so, I had to dial it down just to get pictures. I would date this piece from the early 1920’s. I really like it but there’s just no room. The hammering is so even and the chase work is exceptional. 1. The basket is 10¾ in diameter. 2. It sits on a small pedestal base of 4 ¾” x ¾” 3. The basket weighs 1lb. 3oz. 4. Antique Silver Basket Vase Pierced Bernard Rice & Sons c. 1890s
You are bidding on a beautiful antique flower basket by Bernard Rice's sons silver plate. Has the glass insert. Basket stands over 15" to top of handle and 9" to top of rim. Pierced decoration in both trumpet body and rim. Swivel handle rotates on either side. The top of the handle is also pierced and has a rose at the top, I show in picture 4. Apollo E.P.N.S. made in USA by Bernard Rice's Sons Inc. Numbered 3620. It is in very good condition. No dents or dings.

Bernard Rice's Sons silverplate Handy Ann
This unique piece could be a useful as well as attractive serving piece. The large bowls are 9 inches x 6.5 in. x 1 1/4 in. The small bowl is 6 in. in diameter and 2/1/2 in. high. The 3 bowls are attached and can be carried by a handle behind the small bowl. There is a small dent in one of the large bowls and the finish is rubbed off on the back of the handle. These can be seen in the pictures. They are marked on the bottom of the small bowl: Apollo EPNS. Here is a very unique little vintage bon bon or nut basket made by Bernard Rice's Sons/Apollo EPNS It has a great Art Deco style design with light floral work along the bowl and an angular swivel handle. It is in very good vintage condition. Just some normal wear to the bottom of the bowl where the Nickel has worn down. It may look like the pinched edges are bent but that is just part of the design. This basket is fully hallmarked on the bottom. While it is EPNS. Bernard Rice's Sons made some great pieces of nice quality during the 1920's. This is a wonderful addition to a collection. Great 1920's hammered silverplate with gold lacquer candy/nut dishes. Very good condition. One dish has a small discoloration which probably could be cleaned. Measures 5" diameter. Made by Bernard Rice under their Apollo division which closed in 1922 signed on bottom.

Here we have today is a vintage 1920's Bernard Rice& sons silverplate swing handle basket#3985. This vintage piece is 5" tall from base to the top of the handle and the basket is 10 1/4" across. Basket is in vintage condition with pitting and silver loss to the top and bottom of the piece. The bottom is marked Apollo E.P.N.S. Bernard Rice& sons inc#3985.
