Antique Staffordshire Transferware Abbey Ruins Pattern Pitcher& Bowl Set The Pitcher measures 12" Inches tall to the top of the handle. Roughly 9" Inches from spout to handle wide. The bulbous part of the jug is about 8" Inches across. A large and substantial pitcher. The Bowl measures 14" Inches across by 5" Inches tall. This will date from the late 1800s/early 1900s. The glaze is shiny and bright with no staining/toning. Minor normal wear. No cracks, chips or repairs other than the chip noted on the bowl's top rim. Circa 1880 Powell, Bishop & Stonir HONG KONG Platter
This is a beautiful antique platter circa 1880 from Powell Bishop and Stonir from Henley Staffordshire England in the Oriental Ivory Hong Kong Pattern. It measures approx. 14 1/4" and has a rust border with multicolored design and overall in good condition but has one minor glaze chip along border that has some color on it to disguise it and a few spots on rust border where color is missing.also very minor. Otherwise in very good condition for it's age and perfect for either use or display.I am not sure if this is the correct term but I think somewhere I heard the term polychrome color.it has a different kind of lustre to the color and it may have that.not sure I got the term correct. Beautiful Antique Staffordshire Black and White Transferware Podmore. Walker& Co"Corean" platter manufactured circa 1834-1859. The"Corean" Platter is pictured in Collector's Encyclopedia of English China Values and Identification. By Mary Frank Gaston, A Collector Book, published in 2002 on page 99, plate 211. Measuring approximately 16" long. It is approximately 12" wide. It has a deep recess, which allows the meat juices to be confined. The pattern featues a lake scene with temples, a lady with a parasol and boats. The border details have an oriental floral feeling with scrolls and leaves. There is some very minor crazing, which considering the age of the piece is not surprising. There are no cracks. There are some rough spots on the edge that you can feel if you run your fingers around the edges. There ... moreare several surface glaze pops. Pictured in 2, 3, 9 and 10. Porcelaine Royale WE&C England Cheese Tray/Fruit Server With Cover. Floral blue design with gold accents and handle. Cover Measures 8"x6" 4 3/8" high at the tallest area. Bottom tray measures 8"x 10 1/4" There are three small chips on the covers base.And it appears that the handle broke apart in two areas and needed to be repaired where I noticed two hairline marks. There is some wear on the gold areas due to age. There is a hairline mark underneath the cover about 5 inches wide which is under the glaze. Bottom base has roughness due to age and some flea bite marks and slight scratches. The tray has brown spots as shown in my picture under the glaze with worn areas around the rim and a flew slight flakes and scratch marks. There is one hairline mark under the glaze which starts from the top edge 1 1/2" to ... morethe back of the tray 1 1/8" There are some flea bite marks and wear to the gold rim area and some spider vein lines under the glaze in a few areas. This auction is for a 7 piece set of Antique Wm Adams& Sons Du Barry English Ironstone Brown Transferware. The set includes a 13 1/2" by 10" Platter- a 9 1/2" by 7 1/8" by 2" Serving Bowl- three 8 1/8" Plates- two 10 1/8" Plates. The plates all have considerable crazing and discoloration and two have tight hairline cracks- the platter has only minor crazing and no chips or cracks- the serving bowl has only very minor crazing and no cracks or chips.

Ultra-RARE BLUE/WHITE TRANSFER WARE PLATTER/ A SCENE I HAVE NEVER SEEN!
The collector who owns this piece said to me this morning that in 40+ years of collecting; he has never seen this pattern before. This example he bought out of an attic in upstate New York back in the mid 70's. It is VERY large; measuring 16 1/2" by 13" and the center scene appears to be in a station of some sort or a lavish hall; note the ornate ceiling and the clothing of the day worn by the men. Women and children. It looks like a many level train station. surrounding the border is a thick vine of ivy and other ornate greenery. In picture#4 you'll note the hairline; the same for the backside of the platter in picture number 6. The platter I assure you is quite stable; surface shows beautifully and the crazing I think was intentional at the time of production. Blue Mountain Pottery Paysanne Red Clay 3 3/4" Butter Cheese Dish #818
Here we have a cheese or butter dish made by Blue Mountain Pottery. For the Paysanne series. A good sized piece, the outside is of an unglazed red clay, only the inside of the lid and the top of the underplate are glazed in a deep reddish-brown. The underplate measures approx. 8" in length and 5 1/2" in width and the lid itself measures approx. 6 1/2" in length, 4 1/2" in width and just over 3" deep. When the lid is placed on the underplate, the dish as a whole measures 3 3/4" tall. It is in gently pre-owned condition. Free of any chips, nicks or cracks from what I can see. There is some crazing present on the glazed areas of the piece. Which is common to happen to pottery from aging over time. There are also some scratches and what looks to be either some staining or uneven coloring of the clay, the darkened ... moreareas can be noticed along the bottom of the lid in the photos. There is also an area where the clay is uneven along one of the corners of the lid. Photo 5. The butter dish is very clean. Without any staining, and is ready to use or to be put on display. Impressed on the bottom of the underplate is"Paysanne. Canada, 818. This harder to find cheese or butter dish would make a nice gift or would be a great addition to your BMP Paysanne collection! Copper Platter Tray With Ceramic Art Nouveau Floral Insert Plate
A beautiful copper and ceramic serving tray or platter from the Arts and Crafts era. 12 inches diameter by 15-1/2 inches wide across the handles. The center is a glossy antique china plate decorated with a hand painted circular floral design in mauve pink, purple, green and yellow in the Art Nouveau style. Surrounding and permanently attached to the rim of the plate is a 1-1/4" copper frame with brass tab handles. The frame has a pierced flower decoration all the way around. The plate has no chips. Cracks, or crazing but there are a couple of discolored yellow age spots near the edges(about the 2 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions in the first photo) The plate has a couple of impressed markings that cannot be read. This is the ONLY ONE an eBay that style and condition serving platter or transferware. Made in England by Clementson Bros Manufacture. Model"PHROSO" Stamp an the revers was used by this company from 1891- 1901/ PHENIX BIRD with"glory" The company was finally close in 19th century.c.1865- 1916. Joseph Clementson was born on 15 July 1794 at Carrigill, Cumberland. He came to the Potteries in 1811 and worked first as a collier, In 1820 he apprenticed ... morehimself to J. and W. Ridgway, and by 1832 was able to set up his own business at the Phoenix Works, Shelton, in partnership with Jonah Reed. The partnership ended in 1839. JC continued on his own, enlarging the works in 1845 and also buying the Bell Works in 1856. Early on in his partnership with Reed JC had travelled to Canada, and this laid the foundation for a successful commercial career. He retired from business in 1867 in favour of his four sons and his son-in-law, Edward Baxter, minister at Bethesda chapel, Hanley, who had married his youngest daughter Lucy. JC served as chief bailiff of Hanley 1849-51, being unsuccessful in his promotion of the adoption by Hanley of the Public Health Act. He was an early advocate of amalgamation of the Potteries towns. He married Martha Phillips in 1816 and had eight children. He was a member of Bethesda New Connexion church. He died at Prospect House, Shelton, in 1871. His name is continued in Clementson's Mill car park, off Clough Street, Hanley. Francis Clementson, in 1834 a contractor of Joiners' Square, Hanley, and an elder brother of JC, is buried in Bethesda churchyard.

This listing is for an antique John Edwards Ironstone large oval serving platter manufactured in England. The backstamp is featured in the second picture. I believe this piece is almost or over 100 years old. The platter is pure white and is in excellent condition for its age with minimal utensil scratches and no chips. Cracks, or crazing. However. There are numerous spots on the face of the platter and more on the back of it that appear to be like blisters or welts in the porcelain with a flea bite in the ceneter of each of them. They appear to be original defects, but there are many of them. They can be best seen in the second picture. I really don't know what caused them or how to describe them better. If it weren't for the blisters or welts. I would personally classify the platter in"Excellent" condition. I have for auction this evening a lovely piece of JPL aka Pouyat Limoges France porcelain. This classic dresser tray has a stunning mold shape that is both classic and elegant and speaks to the fine quality of porcelain this maker and decorator produced. The wavy scalloped edge with cut out style handles is very nicely done and the hand painted roses on garlands just make this a most desirable piece. This would look fantastic in any setting from cabinet to table to dresser top as was its originally intended home when it was first produced. This is a very fine and refined piece of porcelain by one of the greatest porcelain factories of their time and the artist was obviouly accomplished as well. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. This piece measures nearly 13" handle to handle and around 9" at its widest ... morepoint. Exquisite porcelain celery dish has a transfer pattern of deep pink roses and true blue forget-me-not flowers on a pure white ground deeply embossed with flowers and swirls. The scalloped rim is gilded and the porcelain is very fine and light. It measures 11" long. 5" wide and just over 2" deep.
