Miniature Pearlware Platter 1820 PASTORAL COTTAGE COW Staffordshire Transferware
800x600 Rare Child's Miniature Pearlware Platter COTTAGE SCENERY Staffordshire England c.1830 This is an extremely rare historical Staffordshire miniature platter or meat plate. C. 1830. It was made as part of a complete children's toy transferware dinner service. The gently scalloped oval tray measures 4-3/8 inches long with a flared rim and flat bottom. The piece is transfer printed in a rich cobalt blue with a pearlware glaze. The platter is impeccably potted and finely detailed. Depicting the view of a thatched roof cottage with cows grazing in the front yard, and people standing in the backyard, which has a distant view of a church steeple. The figural imagery is so large that it spills over the rim with no room left for a decorative border. The pattern name is unknown and the exact maker has not been identified. The pattern ... moreis illustrated and discussed on page 122 of Lorraine Punchard’s book Playtime Pottery& Porcelain from the United Kingdom& the United States. The quality of the form and detailing of the image is far superior to what would be expected on this diminutive sized piece. A sticker on the back of the platter identifies it as part of the“Sheila French Collection. The platter is in great condition. With a fleabite to the glaze at 4 o'clock and no chips, cracks or repairs. Historical Staffordshire R.HALL Dark Blue Transferware 17" Platter ~ GYRN WALES~
English Historical Staffordshire Ralph Hall Dark Blue Transferware 17" Platter c1830 ~ Select Views~ Gyrn. Flintshire Wales ~ Sold as Found ~ Looks Great on display! 17" long x 13 3/8" wide A large Staffordshire rectangular platter printed in dark blue transferware depicting"Gyrn. Flintshire Wales, from the"Select Views" series, with a wide border of fruit and flowers, printed title and maker's name on the reverse, R. Hall, Tunstall, England, 1822-1836. Broken and repaired in 1954. According to the label left on the back; you can see two large staples at either end which were over painted in white to hide them. The crack goes down the middle on both sides and it was possbily broken in half. If it was it was a clean brake and fit back together very nicely without much pottery loss. Despite the damage and repair. ... moreThe face of this platter displays beautifully! You really have to look for the crack on the face, on display, the only obvious place it shows it above the cathedral in the sky. The face has some high point wear and scratches seen when tilted in the right light but still has its original pearlware glossy glaze and the color is wonderful. T he old label says this must not be used or washed in water; I wiped off the face with a wet sponge and nothing came off but I left the old tape and label in place. They may have done some blue touch up along the crack but it is not obvious. Thanks for looking. No Reserve! Please see the other English/ Historical Staffordshire/ porcelain/ pottery/ soft paste/ pearlware/ creamware I have listed.

The platter measures approximately 13.25" X 16.5" The platter has a number of condition problems, including multiple cracks, chips, and crazing. While it is still in one piece, there is a major crack which extends from the top near the center and down, nearly to the middle of the piece. A second crack extends from the bottom left edge inward. Both cracks are most visible when viewed from the bottom of the piece. There is a large chip on the bottom left edge, as well as another ... morelarge chip on the top edge, right of center. STAGS Enoch Wood & Sons Staffordshire Platter SPORTING SERIES Transferware c1825
ANTIQUE DARK BLUE AND WHITE TRANSFER PRINTED STAFFORDSHIRE POTTERY PLATTER STAGS- ANTELOPE ENOCH WOODS AND SONS SPORTING SERIES C1825 I SHIP WORLDWIDE ATTENTION UK AND NON-US BIDDERS: Please note that if you are following my sales on a regular basis you should log onto the Ebay U.S.A. rather than the Ebay.UK site in order to see the complete selection of auction items I have listed at any given time. For some reason the Ebay U.K. site filters from view the posting of sales by U.S. sellers containing the names of some of the better and more highly collectable English and German porcelain companies. I have no idea why this is. However, I do ship worldwide so you are welcome to bid on any of the items. IMPORTANT BIDDING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION: IF YOU PLAN TO BID ON THIS ITEM AND ARE THE HIGH BIDDER I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THAT YOU DO NOT PAY ME ... moreUNTIL YOU RECEIVE MY INVOICE NOT THE INVOICE THAT IS GENERATED IMMEDIATELY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SALE BY EBAY. Ebay now has rules that all sellers MUST ship items for which they have been paid within one business day without exception. Those who follow my sales and have bought from me over the years know that I have always had a policy of shipping within 24 hours of a sale(see my feedback) However, there are times when I am out of town unexpectedly for a house call, an auction or an estate call and it simply is not possible to get to the post office in time. Also, if you find that there is more than one item you are interested in bidding on over a given time period and would like to take advantage of combined shipping, please again, DO NOT pay me until the last of those items you're watching has finished. I will then send you an invoice with an adjusted shipping fee which saves on postage. I never charge a"handling fee" I would rather wait a few days on a payment and extend you the advantage of lower shipping fees than to be paid immediately- not ship- and then be scored negatively by eBay for not shipping soon enough. 12" antique Staffordshire transferware CHELTENHAM platter F.B.cobalt blue drape
9.5 by 11.75 inches This would have originally been part of an enormous set of china. Part of a group of 3 or 4 graduated platters. I believe that the maker is Cheltenham, but the pattern name is unknown. It dates from about 1910 and is that Edwardian drape that we see so frequently in the decorative arts of that era. In a huge set of dishes from that era, getting the pattern name in place was sort of willy nilly. There is also an F.B. likely the employee/painter. This week. We are having a few nice days and I am taking the opportunity to open my 26 foot trailer and drag out things that haven't been touched in years. The newspaper dates from 2000 and around here it's pretty much like Christmas. I have hundreds of things to list that I had in Rhode Island before I hit the road trucking. They were saved for the future, which I guess ... morehas arrived. We are in our house now and it won't hold near the stuff I had hoped to keep forever. This is the first piece to come out of the boxes. I am packed nearly to the roof in that 26 footer, so it should be interesting. POLICIES& PROCEDURES TO MAKE YOUR EBAY EXPERIENCE A POSITIVE ONE: If you are purchasing more than a single item. The calculator feature on ebay does its best and is occasionally accurate. The more you purchase, the farther off the mark the calculator can be. It's really pretty simple. If I click USPS as the best shipping choice for a single item, nearly always purchasing 6 will mean FedEx is the best choice. The Ebay machine tries hard but I'm the one to make the best choice for shipping a package after all is said and done. If shipping seems way off, just bring it to my attention before deciding not to purchase. If you make the purchase and the automated invoice looks incorrect, SAY something. Don't just blindly pay when that darned automated screen insists that you pay- pay- pay- NOW- NOW- NOW. I ship by FedEx and the post office. Depending on cost and whether I think one can handle your package better than the other. Good job, you f
