Isaac Wilson 1852-1887 Floral Pattern Black Transferware Sandwich or Underplate
Description Black Transferware Sandwich Plate Isaac Wilson& Co. This is a handled sandwich plate or underplate done in black transferware with a floral pattern. It was made by the Isaac Wilson Co. Middlesbrough, Yorkshire between 1852 and 1887. The plate is 8 1/4" in diameter handle to handle and stands 1 1/4" high. Apparently this was a flow pattern as there is a slight grey color to the glaze. There is crazing on the piece but otherwise I have found no chips. Cracks or repairs. This bowl is still absolutely stunning! Be sure to check out our other auction for two rimmed soup bowls. A meat drain and a large platter.

What amazes me is the condition of this beautiful 12 1/2" X 9 1/2" octagonal ironstone platter made in England in the late 1800's. There is no evidence of crazing on the front. Only on the back. This is a lovely. Old stoneware platter manufactured in England by T& R Boote in the Shapoo pattern in the early to mid 1800's based on the early hallmark. It is not in perfect condition. It does have two very small chips which can be seen in photos#3& 4. Neither is very noticeable- 4 is actually on the underside of the platter. There are some dots on the finish which were a part of the original finish. It is still a lovely piece which would be a wonderful addition to a collection of old platters, and would be a fabulous decorative piece. It measures 10 1/2" wide x 13 3/4" long. Rare Ironstone Black Transferware Footed & Handled Bowl, 1800's
Look at the great condition of this unusual footed and handled early transferware bowl. I am not sure if this was a waste bowl. A small vegetable bowl or exactly which type bowl it is. It does not appear to ever had a lid as there is no wear on the top lip to suggest one. It has two handles with beautiful black detailing. It is a cream colored ironstone with a black design. The bowl is 4 1/4" tall and 7.5" wide. The glaze is shiny. There is crazing. It has great black color on the feet and handles. The design on the sides is of an urn with a faint pagota. I do not know the name of the pattern and it is only marked with an M in a circle. Due to the unusual shape and use of this piece of transferware I would not wait to long to make a decision on it. Ironstone Black Transferware Large Teapot, Unusual Form 1800's
Look at the unusual shape of this large early transferware teapot. It is a cream colored ironstone with a black and gray design. The teapot is 8" tall and 10" wide. The scene features a couple on the grounds of a castle- reminds me of Downton Abbey. There is an impressed mark on the bottom but I cannot make it out. Unfortunately the teapot has some damage. There is an old crack across the bottom and coming up to underneath the handle and the spout. I do not see any damage to the handle. There is crazing. There are a few chips along the inner rim where the lid sits. There is an age line along the rim near the spout. The spout looks like it was repaired at some time as it looks like more paint was applied. But this appears to be a very old repair. It also looks like some paint has been applied to the lid. The lid has a small age line ... morethat does not come through to the top where it would be seen.
