This is a wonderful Blue Feather Edge Platter. 16 3/4 in long x 13 in wide. There is some minor wear and scuffing on the bottom but no chips, cracks or hairlines. Just a fantastic piece. There is a makers mark on the bottom. It is impossible to read. I would guess it might say Staffordshire since they were the biggest producer of this. The mark is in a half circle embossed into the back. This platter weighs over 4.1 lbs. It is Octagon shaped. On the front there are 3 marks from the cooling stands and on the back there is three groups of 3 which is the same from the cooling stands as they stacked them. Beautiful Condition With no Chips. Antique 1820's Leeds Feather Edge Octagonal 15" Platter Softpaste Porcelain
Up for auction is an antique early 19th C octagonal 12 x 15" platter recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is white with cobalt blue feather edging with small scratch design as well. Hard to photograph. There is a hairline that goes all the way through, see photos 3& 6. There are some staining& losses around them from initial imperfections to the clay which have broken down through time. A very nice platter for the Leeds collector. Blue Feather Edge Platter. 16 3/4 in long x 13 in wide. There is some minor wear and scuffing on the bottom but no chips. Cracks or hairlines. Just a fantastic piece. There is a makers mark on the bottom. It is impossible to read. I would guess it might say Staffordshire or Adams The mark is in a half circle embossed into the back. This platter weighs over 4.1 lbs. It is Octagon shaped. On the front there are 3 marks from the cooling stands and on the back there is three groups of 3 which is the same from the cooling stands as they stacked them. Beautiful Condition With no Chips. English Blue Feather Edge 18 th Century Creamware Staffordshire Platter Wonderful old true 18 th century blue feather edge creamware platter from the Staffordshire region of England. You can tell true 18 th century feather edge pieces from later pieces from the asymmetrical undulating scallop edge with impressed curved lines. They are usually creamware and were made between 1775 and 1800. By 1800 the shell edge became even and symmetrical and were usually pearlware glaze. Early pieces are also rarely marked and so determining where they were made is based on the edge design and the color of the blue. This is a classic piece and more difficult to find since platters often broke due to their size and weight. This platter is in great condition for its age. It is stained. It has delicate molded decoration around the border with cobalt blue accenting. Condition is good with the light surface wear you would expect for a platter of 150 or more years old. There is a very small hairline on the back measuring only 3/4 of an inch long and it does not go through to the front. Very minor. The back of the platter is imprinted with the early mark"Best Goods. UP FOR AUCTION IS A LOVELY FEATHER EDGE PLATTER WITH COBALT EDGE AND GOLD EMBELLISHMENT. THIS PLATTER MEASURES 13 1/2" X 10 1/4" AND IS 1 1/2" IN HEIGHT. THERE ARE A FEW SPECS ON THE FRONT OF THE PLATTER AND SOME FLEA BITES ON THE UNDERSIDE. THE GOLD TRIM SHOWS AGE APPROPRIATE WEAR. RARE ANTIQUE LEEDS C1800 AMER. EAGLE SHIELD GREEN FEATHER EDGE CREAMWARE PLATTER
Presenting a rare and fresh to the market c1790- 1830 Leeds green feather edge creamware platter with eagle shield. It is over glaze hand painted with center decorated eagle& shield. The eagle is holding a clutch of arrows and olive branch. It is additionally decorated with an inner border of dot& scroll. The platter measures 15 1/4" x 12" x 1 1/2" There is overall crazing. Knife marks and typical and appropriate wear to the glaze at the scalloped feather edge at the high spots. There are a few very small flea bits to the edge that are more just very slightly rough to the touch than flea bites. There are no chips cracks or repairs. The underside has appropriate wear and with uneven discoloration. Very little loss to the paint at the green edge and minor loss to the inside border and eagle. Antique Large Leeds Ironstone Blue Feather Edge 17" Platter w Scalloped Edge
Selling a beautiful large antique ironstone platter with a scalloped blue feather edge. Likely dating to between 1800 and 1840. It measures 17" by 12 1/2" and is 1 1/4" deep. It is impressed"16" on the back, and I suspect it was made in the Leeds area of England. In excellent condition, no stains, nice and shiny, no chips, hairlines, or repairs of any kind, and having just a few very faint scratches on the front. On the back there is some gentle wear on the bottom rim, to be expected, and which in no way affects the integrity of beauty of this magnificent piece.

Which from what I can make out I think belongs to Enoch Wood and Sons, mostly from the shape. Oval shape with chamfered corners. Early 19th century. The platter is 15 3/4 inches long by 12 1/8 inches wide. The platter weighs 4 lbs 2 oz(shipping weight 7 lbs) Condition: Very good. No chips or cracks. Crazing.
