The dish is decorated with a huge assymetrical transfer printed naturalistic Japanesque motif with a wild rose in the center and a geometric half sun rim. The pattern is a beautiful example of the Victorian love of nature and a fantastic token of affection. The pattern name is GARFIELD. Made by Wallis Gimson in the Staffordshire district of England. It is marked with the initials L.S.S. the trademark of Gimson's retailer Levi Strauss& Sons, and a registration number dating the pattern to the year 1885. The dish is clean. Antique Lindner Brown Transfer Ware Platter, Chinese Scene, 13” Inches, Bavaria
This is a beautiful large platter made by Lindner& Co in Bavaria. It is brown transfer ware and depicts Chinese scenes and flowers. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks but has crazing of the glaze on the back and a tiny bit on the front where the light tan color background is. It has a thick sort of feel to it and is in an octagon shape. It is 10.25” inches by 13.5” inches and about 1.25” inches tall. Shipping and handling $15 in US. $60 international. This large scalloped edge platter(12.25 by 15.25 inches by 2 inches) in grey-blue has a scene with minarets domed buildings. Trees, boats and mountains in the background. Seated goddess is in the trim. This is a brown and white transfer ware serving bowl by T. Elsmore& Son from Tunstall England. This pattern. Osborne, is from 1879. This company closed in 1887. This bowl is in great condition especially considering it is 135 years old. There is a small chip on the underside of the bowl on one end depicted in the pictures. If you have any questions, please email before bidding. The bowl is 10 inches from point to point and 5 inches wide at the widest part. The bowl stands 1 ½ inches tall.
