I have for auction this evening a lovely piece of JPL aka Pouyat Limoges France porcelain. This classic dresser tray has a stunning mold shape that is both classic and elegant and speaks to the fine quality of porcelain this maker and decorator produced. The wavy scalloped edge with cut out style handles is very nicely done and the hand painted roses on garlands just make this a most desirable piece. This would look fantastic in any setting from cabinet to table to dresser top as was its originally intended home when it was first produced. This is a very fine and refined piece of porcelain by one of the greatest porcelain factories of their time and the artist was obviouly accomplished as well. I have for auction this evening a beautiful dresser tray made at the factories of William Guerin in Limoges France around the turn of the twentieth century. This lovely tray is made of a very fine quality grade porcelain and has been cast in a classic mold by one of the greatest makers of Limoges porcelain. The wavy scalloped rim of the piece adds visual and tactile interest to this fine piece. The piece has been glazed with a pale blue and pink background with a hint of mint as well. The piece has been hand painted with stunning yellow roses that have been painted by a skilled hand and masterfully rendered onto the face of this very fine piece. The tray is made of the very finest grade of porcelain being produced in the Limoges region of France at the time and is cast into a classic raised rim mold design. The piece was sold as whiteware and then painted out of studio by an artist with very good skills in painting of floral motifs. The beautiful pink dogwood blooms are beautifully executed. Hello everyone, For sale is this Limoges. France perfume tray by the William Guerin Company. This tray is in perfect condition with some age wear on the gold gild trim. In the early 1900's furniture. Like dressers, did not have the high tech finish we enjoy today. Furniture stained easily so dresser trays were used to hold perfume, toiletries, or items that might otherwise scratch or stain the wood surface. The back bears the Limoges mark. Limoges W. G. Co. France" The front, in gold gilding, are the letters'LWG' as well. A fine example of early Victoriana and a great gift for a special lady. No chips. Cracks, or repairs. About 9 1/2 inches by 12 1/2 inches, shipping weight is 2 pounds 8 ounces. Short history of Guerin. William Guerin(1838-1912) was born near Limoges and trained in porcelain techniques. After military service. ... moreHe rented a porcelain decorating workshop in the Faubourg Montjovis(Limoges) About 1872 Guerin took over the porcelain workshop of Lebron& Cie. In 1877 he bought the porcelain factory that had been established by Jouhanneaud and Dubois in Rue du Petit-Tour(Limoges) This enlarged company produced a wide range of wares, selling whiteware and also continuing decoration. Guerin's sons William and Andre joined the company in 1903. In 1911 W. Guerin& Cie merged with the nearby Pouyat factory, buying a majority share of Pouyat, and the new firm became Guerin& Cie. In 1920 or 1921 Bawo& Dotter Ltd. owner of the Elite name, bought Guerin& Cie and became Guerin Pouyat Elite, with Carl Bawo as technical director from 1923. W.G. Co. Limoges France Porcelain Antique Dresser Tray This dresser tray is beautiful and belonged to my mother. She was a collector of antiques and this was kept on her marble dresser. It is beautifully hand painted and its age is estimated to be from 1900 to 1932. Made in France it has the” Limoges France“hallmark in the center on the back. It‘s also hand signed by the artist“Q. V. Heck” The signature is very clear please see photos. The tray measures 13 ¼ x 10 ¼ inches. The height is slightly over ½ inch. Fine French Limoges porcelain. The condition is excellent; there are a few very small spots on the rim where the gold gilt has worn a minimal amount. One part of the edge seems to have a spot of blue over the gold gilt- see photo. The hand painting floral is exquisite and yet simple with beautiful tiny blue flowers. Just ... morelovely. This is a true hand painted gem. I know the new owner will love it.

Antique Limoges Porcelain Dresser Tray By William Guerin Co., Circa 1900 (218)
This is an elegant Limoges perfume tray by the William Guerin Company. This tray is in perfect condition with some age wear on the gold gild trim. In the early 1900's furniture. Like dressers, did not have the high tech finish we enjoy today. Furniture stained easily so dresser trays were used to hold perfume, toiletries, or items that might otherwise scratch or stain the wood surface. The back bears the Limoges mark, Limoges W. G. Co. France" The front, in gold gilding, are the letters'LWG' as well. A fine example of Victoriana and a great gift for a special lady. Short history of Guerin. William Guerin(1838-1912) was born near Limoges and trained in porcelain techniques. After military service. He rented a porcelain decorating workshop in the Faubourg Montjovis(Limoges) About 1872 Guerin took over the porcelain workshop ... moreof Lebron& Cie. In 1877 he bought the porcelain factory that had been established by Jouhanneaud and Dubois in Rue du Petit-Tour(Limoges) This enlarged company produced a wide range of wares, selling whiteware and also continuing decoration. Guerin's sons William and Andre joined the company in 1903. In 1911 W. Guerin& Cie merged with the nearby Pouyat factory, buying a majority share of Pouyat, and the new firm became Guerin& Cie. In 1920 or 1921 Bawo& Dotter Ltd. owner of the Elite name, bought Guerin& Cie and became Guerin Pouyat Elite, with Carl Bawo as technical director from 1923. It also states a patented date of Jan. 8 1901, writing is a bit blurred, this is my read on it) Jar is approx. 5" tall and 5" wide, small nick on the inside cover edge(unseen when closed) Tray is 11"x8" has minor gold loss on the outside edge, no chips, cracks, etc, marking on back has faded and is unreadable on the tray. Comb I believe is Lucite, color loss on handle and is missing a pearl, is marked Depose France as pictured.

This is a beautiful hand painted porcelain either dresser or tea TRAY. I am not 100% sure but I'd say it is LIMOGES. It measures about 13 1/2' x 14' It is a high quality item with hand painted details and gilt gold trim. The yellow is a bit unusual. It isn't maker marked though there is a small impression that appears to be 80. It is in lovely condition. No chips, nicks or cracks. This is a special piece and would add to any Limoges collection. T & V Limoges Dresser Tray Portraits of George & Martha Washington, Mt. Vernon
This is a very attractive T& V Limoges dresser tray with portraits of Martha and George Washington and their home Mt. Vernon in Virginia. Tressemann& Vogt used this mark in green on the back of this tray from 1892 to 1907. This tray was not marked as a souvenir or a commemorative and it is slightly different than other trays I have seen. Some are marked Germany and others are not marked. So I was pleased to find one marked Limoges France. The rim of the tray is gold and below this is a band of white followed by a band of decorative gold which I have never seen on any other Martha and George Washington dresser tray. This tray is in excellent condition with no scratches, chips or other damage. A wonderful example of a Limoges dresser tray honoring our first President, his wife and their home in Virginia. Limoges Hand Painted Dresser Tray. Whiteware was produced by Gerard. Dufraisseix and Morel in Limoges, France between 1882 and 1890. It was hand painted and signed by the artist, Jean Lamont and dated 1892, during the time when china painting was very popular among American artists, both professional and non-professional. This confection of a tray is marked Century. Patd. Feb. 23, 1901, T&V Limoges France. It is hand-signed in gold with the initials of the extremely talented artist(appears to be N.R. and the date of either 04 or 09. This piece of fine china has NO chips. NO cracks and NO repairs. There is a tiny bit of loss to the gold trim commensurate with its age of more than 100 years. How lovely this piece would be used as a decorative cabinet plate. A serving piece or a beautiful tray for a lady’s vanity. It is very well-made and heavy! I have for you this evening a stunning example of porcelain made at the kilns of Gerard Dufraisseix Abbot aka GDA Limoges in the late 19th century. This piece is made of very fine grade porcelain and has been cast into a unique scalloped rim mold design with raised rim. This piece has been glaed in a light blue and pink blush glaze and has been completely hand painted with gorgeous Periwinkles and foliage in garland style.
