Based on some research, because it’s stamped “Made in” Germany, I believe it was stamped sometime between 1914-1919, however, it appears the “original” stamp may have been “re-done” with the current stamping. Not sure if it was due to the McKinley Act or if a German “forced” re-stamp due to their occupation. The item does have some minor (not repaired) hairline cracking (see pics) which probably lead too the original owners to stop using it; which probably explains why it is in such nice condition for its age. It measures approx. 12” high and 6” wide.

Antique Sarreguemines Platter Tray W/ Handles c1875 Aesthetic Movement
Here is a wonderful old Sarreguemines deep platter or serving tray from around 1875. Not counting the handles it is 16" x 10" and it is 2 1/4" high at the edges. There is some crazing and light wear to the glaze and decoration. One old darkened small chip on the foot base edge, some dark spots on the edges. See photos. It features seven asparagus spears on a basketweave background. You lay your aspsragus across the raised asparagus so your asparagus will drain well before you have them with mayo.
