Such a very very rare piece in overall great vintage condition. The marks on the bottom of the plate include the stamping of RIDGWAYS and DEVONSHIRE(the pattern name) as well as Rd. No. 2302 and a printed 688. The trademark quiver and bow are also printed. The pattern was first introduced in 1884. The design shows the Victorian love of nature and the exotic. Minton Platter This is a beautiful Minton polychrome blue transferware platter in the Faisan pattern. It is marked on the underside with registration and pattern marks as well as an impressed mark that identifies it as being produced in 1881. It measures approximately 14 1/2 inches long and 11 inches wide. It is not often you will find this piece with such a wide range of colors as they were more often produced in a monochrome format. Antique Brown Transferware Ironstone Aesthetic Movement Platter
This is a very nice brown transferware platter. With lovely patterned rim and handles. It is marked on the underside(see photo) but I cannot find this potter's mark. What I can suggest is that because it does not have a country of origin, if this is European, it would pre-date 1891(to comply with the McKinley Tariff Act. I just do not know exactly if it is European or American. This large platter measures approximately 15 5/8" x 11 1/4" x 1 1/4" high. See photos of the nicely done rim and handles. The random transferware pattern suggests the period of the aesthetic movement. The platter has a chip along the side rim. Mostly on the underside(see photo) and a tiny chip on the underside of one of the handles, which you cannot see when platter is upright. The pattern features a sunset over the water and an arching bamboo like plant embracing the scene as a miriad of shore bigds fly overhead. Geometric. Flower and bird filled cartouches complete this pattern. Seems like"luster-like" highlights on the border. There is one"nick" on the top of the platter. Unusual Arts & Crafts, Aesthetic Movement Large Platter with hand crafted stand
VERY UNUSUAL, This is an aesthetic movement platter from@1881. I am not certain as to the mfg. but the pattern name is GOTHIC. It is done with copper luster highlights running through the pattern. The platter itself measures a huge 20.5" X 16" There was a repair made on this piece back in the 1990's. I know this because it has been in the family for a very long time. At the time that the repair was made. It took the restorer 2 years to complete the task and he was able to restore the details beautifully. He was proud of the work he had done and left some imperfections on the back. A flow in the glazing that can be seen. It was a decent restoration job. Plus in green ink#s 10597 closer to edge. Approximate measurements are 15.25 inches length by 12.5 inches width with 2 inch border rim. 1 3/8 inches height. The REGISTRY DIAMOND on the back definitively dates the piece to August 27th. 1881. The platter is 13 1/8" long, 10 1/2" wide and it stands 1 1/8" tall. The transfer shows bamboo trees-birds-flora-an owl-geometric accents-sailboats and a rising sun. The condition is very good. There are no chips or cracks. There is clean, clear crazing seen throughout as well as beige toning more notably seen on the underside where the platter ... moresits. The front/top of the platter has some LIGHT beige toning on the outer border edge but it blends in VERY WELL with the ivory colored background and is not terribly noticeable. There is definite scratch wear to the well area on the front which is more noticeable when the piece is held at an angle to the light. Aesthetic Movement RARE Platter T & R Boote England Yosemite! Transferware HUGE
This auction is for an absolutely MAGNIFICENT ENORMOUS aesthetic movement brown transferware T&R Boote England platter. The bottom of the platter has swirling leaves and flowers in almost a crazy quilt design with a geometric narrow border separating that part of the platter from the scenic portion. There is a large tree with cherry blossoms in the foreground and a town and river in the background. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. This is an extremely rare platter in this pattern. 16 1/4" from top to bottom and 11 3/4" from side to side! There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There is, what appears to be a stain on the back, but since taking the photo I have washed the platter and all the"stuff" came off. POWELL BISHOP & STONIER PB&S HONFLEUR AESTHETIC MOVEMENT TRANSFERWARE PLATTER!
Produced in 1883. This PB&S smaller platter has a fabulous aesthetic movement decoration done in brown transferware on a cream background and has no damage that I can see anywhere. It has been used, so there are little scratches in the glaze as is so common with these old transferware pieces, but no damage to the transferware, no discolorations on the front and no chips or cracks. I don't even notice crazing in the glaze. The measurements are a little over 12" from end to end and 9" from top to bottom. This platter has a border of flowing flowers and urns around the rim with a center medallion of cascading bouquets from vases on a bureau of some type with a lion figurine. Offered at auction is this wonderful antique stoneware platter made in England by H. Alcock. The brown transferware is done in an aesthetic pattern with a name embossed on the back of the platter IVORY. This platter measures 15” X 11” and has a English Registry mark embossed on the back dating the piece to June of 1881. It is in great condition with no chips. Cracks, flakes, crazing or staining.

Antique Elsmore & Son Transferware Ironstone Platter Asian Aesthetic 17" England
This is a serving platter manufactured by Thomas Elsmore and Son in England. The"T Elsmore& Son" mark on the platter was used from 1872 to 1885. So this platter is from that time period. This is a transferware ironstone platter. It has a white/bisque colored background with a brown transfer design on top. The design is from the aesthetic period. And is known as Lily and Vase. The design has an Asian theme with bamboo, oriental panels, and floral accents. There is a geometric border around the rim. The mark says T ELSMORE& SON. ENGLAND. Some of the other marks are IV 14 C Ra D E. There is an impressed mark that might be a date code that says PG. The platter is about 17" by 13" It weighs about 4.5 pounds. The platter is in good condition for its age. There are some manufacturing defects including some slight bumps ... morein the glazing and some misprints of the transfer design. There is some slight wear and chipping on the bottom surface.

BEAUTIFUL VERY LARGE GREEN TRANSFER MEAT PLATTER OXFORD PATTERN AESTHETIC
Here is a very large and very handsome green transferware meat platter in the Oxford pattern. This is a classic Aesthetic Movement pattern featuring chrysanthemums and fruit. Typical abstract decorative elements, and gold trim. We have not been able to pin down the maker. T he English registry number 17608 dates the piece to 1884 and there is a stamped number 5 under the glaze. This platter measures 17-1/2" long and 14-1/4” across and is in excellent condition. The transfer is crisp and clear. There is no glaze crackling. Only a couple of very light utensil marks, minor wear to the gold trim, and light wear and a few marks on the underside. There are no chips, cracks, or fleabites, and only one tiny little ding on the underside of the rim. There is a slight yellow cast in our photos which does not exist on the piece.
