Antique French Limoges Baby Angels Wall Plaque Platter 15.5", L302
Offered is this beautiful large antique French Limoges Porcelain wall Platter from the early 1900's. It features a very ornate scrolled border design that forms handles. The rim is cream with hand brushed gold and little gold flowers. The center features two little baby angels with flowers and leaves. It measures 15.5 inches wide. 12 inches from top to bottom and 2 inches tall. It is in excellent condition for its age with a few nips on the handles edges and a possible repair at 2:00. I can only tell by touch. See photos. Overall it is in really great condition for an item this big! I see one 3 inches smaller for $500. Vintage/Antique LNT 39 Roses Pattern L15A circa 1890's A. Lanternier& Co. French Limoges Serving Plate/Platter. The serving plate is in rather good condition for its age. One minor chip. No cracks, or major scratches, some stains on the underside. There is some wear/fading to the painted pattern portions. The 39 Roses Pattern bands around the rim of the plate. The pattern includes variating pink/red roses spaced between white rosettes, gold vines and leaves, all placed upon a black background. The serving plate/platter is stamped A. Lanternier& Co. The back bears the mark that dates this beautiful tray to have been made between 1900-1932. Antique French Haviland Limoges Painted Fish Platter Ca. 1884
Large Haviland French Limoges Fish Platter Circa 1884. An antigue large paint decorated and relief molded Haviland& Co. Limoges fish platter. The platter is 22" long, 8 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. The handles are relief molded in the form of scrolls flanked by flowers. The rim and handles were gilt painted and there is considerable wear and losses to the gilt paint. The central decoration on the other hand is very much in tact- sprays of varying shade red and golden yellow flowers with green stems and leaves accented with gold veining and deep maroon fish with gold scaling. Limoges" and a green"H& Co.underlined) L" mark on the base.The combination of marks dates the platter to 1883 to 1885 according to the Haviland website. This confection of a tray is marked Century. Patd. Feb. 23, 1901, T&V Limoges France. It is hand-signed in gold with the initials of the extremely talented artist(appears to be N.R. and the date of either 04 or 09. This piece of fine china has NO chips. NO cracks and NO repairs. There is a tiny bit of loss to the gold trim commensurate with its age of more than 100 years. How lovely this piece would be used as a decorative cabinet plate. A serving piece or a beautiful tray for a lady’s vanity. It is very well-made and heavy! Stunning Limoges Complete Game Birds Fowl Hunting Fish Set This is the most Fabulous Limoges dish service(11 pieces) I have ever seen since I have been collecting; and that is a long time. The underglaze mark is A. Lanternier and the over Glaze mark is Limoges AL A. Lanternier Very well known French manufacture Late 1800's(1880-1900) Fantastic condition and complete set. This set is all hand painted with every plate with a different wild bird or fowl. Most of these sets have fish which are wonderful also but these are much more rare. They are very detailed as you can see from the pictures. They are manufactured of the finest hard paste porcelain. The front of the plates are a matt finish; they look unglazed the pureness of the porcelain is show cased. The back of the plates are glazed and in perfect condition. These plates have not been ... moreused. They look new. The condition is very good to excellent. I have found no cracks crazing or chips. There may be a slight amount of gilt lost on a few plates but very little. The plates are all hand painted and each although similar are an individual design.
