It measures 15 1/2" ... morex 13" x 1 1/2" high. Named after the Italian Painter, Antonio Canova(1797-1822) This platters central scenes include a large Urn. Large stone buildings, a lake with an oriental boat and two oarsmen. Also many trees and clouds in the background. The border consists of scenic vignettes alternating with floral reserves. I find no utensil marks. Chips, cracks, or repairs. No utensil marks on the front. The edges are smooth and the central scene is very shiny. One dark tiny spot on the edge done in the firing. I find no crazing front or back. The makers stamp; an Urn, Canova, Stone Ware. on the back. A dark line under the glaze, a 12" spot without porcelain on one back border and two tiny spots on the opposite end. Some blue spots done in the firing. A very nice addition to your collection for a very reasonable price. Any spots are glare from the camera. Priority shipping USPS or UPS. Whichever is the lowest in cost. No later than the 1830s. it is unmarked. It is English. Beautifully hand-painted flowers with blue trim and gold gilding. Condition is only fair for age. There is a chip on the foot(pic#3) there is a small chip on the edge on the underside. small line on the underside that isn't on the front. There is discoloration. Mostly on the back. ANTIQUE BROWN TRANSFERWARE DOULTON'S KUDOS PLATTER 13 1/2" FISH & DRAGONFLIES
A 13 1/2" wide X 10 1/2" tall Doulton brown transferware platter that is a pond scene with a fish in the water eyeing a couple of dragonflies. The platter is in excellent condition. No cracks anywhere with just some slightly rough edges, nothing bad. The platter has five separate signatures on the bottom with the boldest in lettering that reads DOULTON'S KUDOS. The others are pretty much stamped into the surface, one reads 12-86, one is an O shape with four dots around it, an actual seal and a smaller square shaped indentation. The piece of early suface tape just identifies the platter as a former owner's"fish platter" It's really in great condition and the scene is wonderful. Antique EDWARD CLARKE Porcelain Platter TUNSTALL England 21 1/2" x 14 3/4" 1800s
This auction is for a LARGE Ironstone serving platter made by Edward Clarke. Tunstall, England between 1865 and 1877(making this great platter between 137- 149 years old! It measures 21 1/2" x 14 3/4" and weighs 6 pounds 8 ounces! Marked on the back with the Royal Coat of Arms, along with the words"DIEU ET MON DROIT" God and My Right) and"EDWARD CLARK, PORCELAIN, TUNSTALL, OPAQUE" This platter has the oldest Edward Clark English mark and is not a piece that was produced and marked for export to the U.S. as you see with some pieces. This platter is free from chips or damage. It does have crazing throughout. As you would expect given the age of the piece and a few very small brown dots on the front(shown in the last photo) This piece makes a wonderful serving platter during the holidays as well as a great display ... morepiece!

Antique Elite L France Porcelain Platter with Insignia on the Back 12 1/2" Acro
This plate was owned by my mother. She was 89 when she died. I'm not seventy two. It might have been owned by my great grandmother. It's old. Most of the gold edging has worn off. It's scalloped edge also has a raised pattern in it. Lovely!

Large 14 1/2" Transferware Platter, 1800'S Brown Floral, Family Piece
This large oval transferware platter was a part of my mother's large collection of china and glass. The pattern on this piece is a brown floral. You can clearly see tiny pieces of the transfer that have"flowed" with the glaze. This piece is in very good antique condition. My mother had labeled"1800s. Transferware, brown" This piece does have one chip on the underside of the edge. Please see the last three photos for close-up. There are no other chips. Cracks, breaks or repairs. There is no crazing on this piece. There is some light scratching from use. This piece is 14 1/2 inches long by 10 1/2 inches wide approximately. This piece does bear a brown makers mark on the underside. This mark says Sutherland colonial pottery Stoke England. It also has an emblem that I cannot quite make out. Chinese Canton Platter, 15" x 11 1/2"
This listing is for a 15" wide. 11 1/2" wide blue and white totally hand-painted platter. Original, 175 years old, Canton, and it dates back to 1840. Very few of this type are perfect, as they were used on tables, in service as dinner sets for only the very wealthy in Europe and America when imported from China. It is rare to find perfect Canton. There is a crack, because the piece was once, before it was professionally restored, in two pieces. This is now stronger than ever and can be hung or served upon. This is totally bonded, and will last forever this way. If perfect, the value of this platter would be at least $275 to $350. Description A Royal Crown Derby Oval Charger with Imari Decoration in"Kings' 363 Pattern. 1903 This large charger is richly decorated in the Japanese-influenced Imari style for which Royal Crown Derby is famous. The pattern features a white background with rich cobalt blue and burnt orange decoration. Trimmed with gilt. The charger has a recessed centre decorated with a large tree with cherry blossoms and stylized peonies and other more English flowers in the background. The rim is elaborately decorated in contrasting plaques of leaves. Swirls, ... morecircles and flowers, trimmed with a rich cobalt edge overlaid with cross-hatched gilt. The famous Royal Crown Derby factory was founded in 1750 by Andrew Planche and William Duesbury in 1750. By 1775. They had received permission from George II to use the English crown in their company trademark. Queen Victoria gave them a Royal Warrant in 1890. This charger was manufactured in the Osmaston Road factory. Royal Crown Derby continues in production to this day. This charger would make a handsome and addition to a set of Kings' Pattern Imari dinnerware or a terrific display piece in a collection of English Imari. This is a brown transferware meat platter by T& R Boote. It was made in England in the 1885-86. The pattern name is Tournay. It is marked on the back in brown and has a registry number. It also has an impressed X and something else I could not read. The platter is 14 1/2" long and 10 1/2" wide. It is 1 1/4" deep. It has shiny glaze and is heavy. It has some very mild utensil marks on the front. There is a small chip on the underside rim and a fleabite chip on the rim edge(pictured) The plate stand is not included. Ebay Listing Page Antique Staffordshire Chinese Villa Blue Transferware Platter Item Description: Up for auction is a beautiful antique blue and white transfer decorated platter manufactured in Staffordshire. England during the late 1800s. The platter is in the Chinese Villa pattern which features an Asian scene with Chinese junks on the water and lavish temples in the background. Overall the platter measures approximately 17 5/8" by 13 3/4" The back is marked with the pattern name and manufacturer's initials. Item Condition: The overall condition of the platter is excellent. It is very clean and has no chips. Cracks, or repaired areas. The colors are very bright and vibrant with nice contrast and the glaze is very glossy with fine crazing throughout. by. Gold around raised edge. Gray blue flowers& leaves 16 1/2" long x 13 1/4" wide x 1 1/4" high Great antique condition. There is one chip under the edge that meaures 1/16" x 1/8" This is beside a chip roughly the same size under the glaze. There are only a minimal amount of utensil marks on the platter. Down sizing or trying to! Love this platter. But can't keep everything. Thanks for looking.
