~ Extraordinary ~ Most of America's fine dinnerware was made in Trenton. New Jersey in the 1800s. English potters from Stafordshire emigrated to the U.S. and founded many of these concerns. This magnificent platter was made at the East Trenton Pottery Company in around 1890. It is very heavy stoneware known as graniteware. The decorations are entirely hand painted. The decoration is a variation of the Asiatic Pheasant patterns that were popular at the time. The center of the platter features a tree with colorful birds. It uses a combination of soft and heavy brush techniques. The rim has colorful blossoms accented with cobalt blue leaves. Cobalt blue areas have gold accents. Exceptional Imari Oriental 18c. English Porcelain Serving Platter Coalport
This amaziing English Porcelain Oriental/ Imari Type Serving Platter measures about 10-1/4" x 8-3/4" x 2-1/4" tall. A previous owner had identified the item as 18c. Coalport Porcelain. While i do believe it could be this old due to the greenish coloration of the porcelain itself(may be early 19th c. I am unsure whether they where correct as to its factory attribution. What is clear is that it is a nice bit of good quality early English Porcelain. Much of the gilding is gone while the enameling otherwise seems in good showing condition. The Platter/ Tray has reticulated edges as well as handles. ASHWORTH IMARI ORIENTAL THEMED STAFFORDSHIRE PLATTER This is a large Vintage Victorian Platter that I believe was made by Ashworth. Staffordshire England. It measures 16 12 inches by 13 inches. The colors under the glaze are bright and unworn. Slight wear to Rim from Years of Use. There are also some decorations above the glaze. That show signs of flaking off, and I have included pictures of them. No chips. Cracks, or Crazing. Some shelf scuffing on base from use over the years. English Staffordshire Ironstone Imari Palette Platter c1850 ~ Charles Meigh Marked Improved Stone China ~ As Found ~ 10 1/2" long x 7 3/4" A rectangular platter transfer printed in soft brown with a pattern of scattered flowers. Hand painted with enamels in an imari palette of cobalt blue, yellow, red, green and turquoise. It has an impressed mark used by Charles Meigh& Sons between 1835-1861. In lovely display condition but display only as it has a 1/2" shallow chip to one corner(bottom left corner seen above) that I have touched in with blue watercolor to make it more presentable. This is a non professional touch up and will wash off if desired. There are two other very thin scrapes to the right edge(seen above) that aren't too bad. Still has a nice colorful display. A total of 7 pcs makeup the entire circle The center piece is round and look like it had a break and a repair at one point. But someone loved this enough to fix and keep it. A LARGE ANTIQUE MEISSEN SERVICE PLATTER WITH IMARI STYLE DECORATION
This is an important piece of late 18th C to early 19th C Imari produced by the porcelain factories at Meissen. By that time. The Imari palette became part in the vast production of"Orientalized wares" By contrast with the original Japanese Imari, Meissen Imari is"gaudy, brash, brightly coloured and highly decorated" This large piece has an old ivory-color ground. The underglaze blue which represents most of the branches and sepals in the decoration is intense and"blotchy" There is extensive use of gilt to outline and underline the blues, and embellish the images of the sprigs of flowers, leaves and seeds. The flowers are prunus, stylized underside and side view of peonies and pomegranate flowers and seeds. The entire decoration is totally dramatic. Under magnification, the plate has two glaze scale or slip on ... morethe edge some 1/2 inch each, both on the left width. At its worse, these can be referred to as"shallow chips" There is a hairline crack about 3" from the rim to the well in the lower left hand corner of the platter and another 1/4 of an inch on the left side.There are a few firing moles as well. The rest of the imperfections are actually age-related e.g. some light acid coloration along the edges. The glaze on the face of the plate doesn't display scratches; wear-and-tear use is not evident. The overall appearance of the plate is excellent. The back shows the crossed-swords mark. The swords closely cross to form a sharp angle. The platter is 19 1/4 long and a little over 14 3/4" wide.

Antique Gaudy Welsh platter. In lovely Imari style with flow blue polychrome design of flowers and a bird. Likely dates early to mid-19th century. Quite lovely, and in very good condition, having no chips or cracks. There is surface wear commensurate with age and a bit of staining under the two darker blue areas on lower front of plate. There is an old metal plate hanger attached that we have not tried to remove. Looking closely w/ loupe, we see no damage or chipping, etc. from this. Back has pretty floral flow blue detailing on all the ends. And has what looks like a Victoria's Crown with hand painted numbers below.There are also two incised numbers that look like 2 and 16. Antique MASON'S Patent Ironstone China 15" PLATTER #3278 Japanese Imari ~ 1830's
This is an Antique MASON'S Patent Ironstone China Oval Serving PLATTER with a Japanese Floral Imari Pattern of Gilded Cobalt. Orange and light blue. The oval shape is lightly scalloped with raised edge and measures 15 1/2 inches by 12 inches wide. Condition is very good with no cracks, chips or repairs. There are minor utensil scratches and some characteristic antique crazing of the glaze on the reverse. The shape of the hallmark crown appears to indicate the date of 1830 to 1848 and the pattern design is 3278. It has the combed back base. Early 19C Worcester Imari Porcelain Platter 11" Long
This is a Worcester oval Imari porcelain platter from the early 1800's. It measures 11" long and 8" wide. The colors are vibrant. Including the use of turquoise. The condition is very good. There is minimal wear to the gilding. There is an old small worn chip at the base side of the platter and a tiny worn chip on the right side. Both are smooth and and gilded over. The platter retains its ringing porcelain sound.

This stunning 169 year old antique platter/charger is in beautiful condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. Age crazing and a few knife marks do exist. Minor tiny glaze voids or production imperfections. Very minor signs of wear and use. Overall excellent condition. The platter measures 21" long, 16 3/4" wide and 1 3/4" high to the edge of the rim. Research reflects that a modified recipe for stoneware, referred to as"New Stone" was introduced in the 1820's. New Stone" ware was more expensive than earthenware but less expensive than porcelain. It had characteristics of both. It was harder and more durable than earthenware and fused like porcelain. It is generally opaque as with this platter. The floral designs are hand painted with enamels under the final glaze. It has the English registration date mark ... morereflecting a date of October 6, 1845. Japanese Blue Ceramic Imari Fish 1850-1899 Platter LARGE
Here is an antique fish platter. Japanese Imari. This is likely from the latter half of the 1800s. There are five little nibs on the back, that look like iron? Whatever it was held the platter aloft in the kiln. Size: 16-1/2" x 10-1/2" Colors: Cobalt Blue and Iron Red with gold accent and a very small amount of green. Beautiful condition.

RARE Antique Early 19thC English Mason's Ironstone Imari Style Dragon Platter
Up for bids is this RARE Antique Early 19thC English Mason's Ironstone Imari Style Dragon Platter. The edge of this platter is impressed MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA. This mark was used by Mason's between 1813 and 1820. I have never seen a piece in this pattern but it is similar to Gaudy Welsh and Imari. The dragon seems to have more of a Chinese influence and the center has a large 5 toed dragon that is flying in clouds which are painted in tones of blue and orange. The platter has a molded rim with flowers. The platter measures 19 5/8" in length. 16 1/2" in width, and stands 1 3/8" in height. This piece is in great condition with only one tiny flea bite that occurred in the factory and is glazed over. There is some slight wear to the paint in a few spots.
