Lovely dish with daffodils and violets and gold and green edging around the rim. Measures 11-1/2" long by 5" wide and 1-1/2" deep. It has one flaw(see condition statement) Thank you for looking! Condition: Beautiful with nice colors. There is one small chip on the edge on one end as shown in next to last picture. It almost looks like the green paint is worn off. But it is chipped. This is a very beautiful celery dish or tray in an oval shape with ruffled rim that measures 11 1/2” long by 6 1/2” wide. The cobalt blue looks like the blue on flow blue pieces and the roses& leaves appear to be hand painted and very nicely done. No markings as to maker. Nice condition. Antique RELISH-CELERY DISH Porcelain-Transfer & Hand Painting-Gold Trim-PERFECT
This pretty. Ancient relish/celery dish is in great condition with no chips, cracks or crazing anywhere. It measures 12 ½” long x 5 ½” wide x 1 ½” deep. It appears to be made of porcelain and features a lovely pattern of roses in the center. The pattern looks to be a transfer that has been embellished with some hand painting to the large roses. It is trimmed around the entire perimeter with what I assume is real gold(most of these pieces were) but I am not an expert in this area. The rose pattern has no flaws that I can see. There is one very light, barely detectible scratch on one end in the green, background color that measures 1” in length. The gold trim is intact with only a few normal light rubs in places. There is a maker mark impressed into the clay of the back of this piece but it is only a capital letter M and there ... moreare no other markings.
