Antique Bawo& Dotter Elite Works Limoge 1900-14 Hand Painted Bon Bon or Candy dish(could be used for many things though) In fabulous single handle basket style with the footed bottom. This is actually almost pristine, as I really can't find any flaws. The heavy gilt handle along with the gilt trim along the scallop, along with the four gilded feet accent the gorgeous and unusual paisley style ornamentation along the last inch of the top. It has luscious leaf shaped paisley border, with sweet paisley accent leaves beneath. Very stunning piece that I am selling for a dear friend. Guerin Pouyat Elite LTD Bawo & Dotter dish circa 1900-1914 Limoges France roses
This is a Guerin-Pouyat-Elite LTD tray that has BAWO& Dotter of New York stamp also. Looks like the piece was made in Limoges France and sent to New York for distribution. That is only my assumption since there are two stamps that are both from Limoges and from the same time period. It has a rose pattern around the edge with another solid pattern in the center of the dish. The dish does not have any cracks. Chips, or crazing. This is in perfect condition! This BAWO& DOTTER stamp was used between 1900-1914 according to my resource book of porcelain stamps and the Guerin-Pouyat was used 1896-1900. This is a piece that would look great anywhere in the house. The dish is aproximently 6.75 inches tall and 5.75 inches wide. Check out my! Antique Bawo Dotter Elite Works Limoges France Artist Signed Hand Painted Bowl Description ~ Beautiful 9” scalloped bowl heavily decorated in gold and encircled in a Art Nouveau style of sinuous lines of tropical floral and leaf design in bright tropical colors of blue. Pinks and green. The floral painting is very simple without any great technique but the use of color is fascinating and very pleasing. Marks ~ one back stamp is a green underglaze whiteware production stamp that Bawo& Dotter used after 1900. Another is a red overglaze decorators stamp from the same company that was in use from 1900– 1914 and there is a gold overglaze stamp that reads“hand painted” The front is signed by the artist which appears to be M. Poly or Foly. This would have been a company employed artist. Circa ~ 1900– 1914. Condition ~ is excellent. There are ... moreno chips. Cracks or scratches on the painted face.
