This huge pearlware jug is a wonderful example of ... moreearly soft paste pearlware with a blue hand painted landscape scene design to the body. The jug has an early applied handle. The pitcher is unmarked but dates from the end of the 18th century to the first part of the 19th century. I black lighted this because I had never scene a pitcher like this one as large and it is in exceptional condition. There was no sign of any restoration under black light. I offer this huge soft paste jug with no reserve and a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The pitcher stands 10 9/16" H. x 7 3/8" W. x 11 1/2" L. from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle.

This rare creamware coffeepot is beautifully handpainted with a cabbage rose bouquet and scattered flowers. This rare coffeepot has a strong provenance as it comes from the Harry Root collection of pottery, that sold at Christie's auction house in July of 2013. They are embossed in high relief with figures of classical Gods. Putti and dolphins based on the designs of Etienne Delaune(1519-83) the French goldsmith responsible for the finest decorative designs for French armor of the period, in particular embossed parade shields. The central motif is of Venus, Mars, and Cupid. The remaining armor include a half armor(John Higgins Woodman Armory Museum, Worcester Mass. JWHA 2549) comprising breastplate, back, articulated tassets, pauldrons and full arms. The breastplate of that armor has been modified in the early 17th century by removing approximately the bottom third to conform to then current fashion. A pair of gauntlets from one of the armors belonging to the Metropolitan Museum of Art was loaned for display with that armor. A helmet of one of the armors is in the collection of the Museo Stibbert, Florence. This cuirass is unaltered as made and the only portion in private hands. The deep peascod form of this breastplate, a reflection of clothing fashion of the period, can be compared to a breastplate in the Royal Armories, Leeds, III.1218. A breastplate of similar form is worn by King Henry III of France in a portrait by Francois Cloute. The decoration can be compared to the incomplete armor in the National Army Museum, Paris illustrated in the catalog, p. 53/4 and, Bruno Thomas Die Munchner Harnischvorziechnungen mit Rankendekor des Etienne Delaune. Up for auction is an antique early 19th C octagonal 12 x 15" platter recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is white with cobalt blue feather edging with small scratch design as well. Hard to photograph. There is a hairline that goes all the way through, see photos 3& 6. There are some staining& losses around them from initial imperfections to the clay which have broken down through time. A very nice platter for the Leeds collector. Antique Leeds Blue Featheredge Oval Serving Platter Blue HUGE Some Oxidation, Nice deep well, Stilt marks are on the front. I have pictured them for you to see, 17 3/8" long x 13 3/8" wide, Circa early 1800s, A beauty, Condition: Used, Some small utensil marks in the glaze- but not many, Light crazing in the glaze& areas of oxidation(see photos) I believe you can remove them with a soak in hydrogen peroxide& water. RARE ANTIQUE LEEDS C1800 AMER. EAGLE SHIELD GREEN FEATHER EDGE CREAMWARE PLATTER
Presenting a rare and fresh to the market c1790- 1830 Leeds green feather edge creamware platter with eagle shield. It is over glaze hand painted with center decorated eagle& shield. The eagle is holding a clutch of arrows and olive branch. It is additionally decorated with an inner border of dot& scroll. The platter measures 15 1/4" x 12" x 1 1/2" There is overall crazing. Knife marks and typical and appropriate wear to the glaze at the scalloped feather edge at the high spots. There are a few very small flea bits to the edge that are more just very slightly rough to the touch than flea bites. There are no chips cracks or repairs. The underside has appropriate wear and with uneven discoloration. Very little loss to the paint at the green edge and minor loss to the inside border and eagle. Antique Large Leeds Ironstone Blue Feather Edge 17" Platter w Scalloped Edge
Selling a beautiful large antique ironstone platter with a scalloped blue feather edge. Likely dating to between 1800 and 1840. It measures 17" by 12 1/2" and is 1 1/4" deep. It is impressed"16" on the back, and I suspect it was made in the Leeds area of England. In excellent condition, no stains, nice and shiny, no chips, hairlines, or repairs of any kind, and having just a few very faint scratches on the front. On the back there is some gentle wear on the bottom rim, to be expected, and which in no way affects the integrity of beauty of this magnificent piece.

Which from what I can make out I think belongs to Enoch Wood and Sons, mostly from the shape. Oval shape with chamfered corners. Early 19th century. The platter is 15 3/4 inches long by 12 1/8 inches wide. The platter weighs 4 lbs 2 oz(shipping weight 7 lbs) Condition: Very good. No chips or cracks. Crazing.
