I don't know what year this is from or how old it is. But I do know it is very old because it came from my grandparents and I'm over 50. It measures 16.5 x 12 inches. If not already sold, I also have a matching pitcher that I think may go with this platter, but am not positive. They both have grape designs and look like they both came from the same time period. This is a beautiful Antique English Royal Ironstone China Copper Luster Tea Leaf Platter by Alfred Meakin. It measures approximately 13" x 9-1/4" The condition is excellent with NO chips. NO cracks, NO repairs, NO restoration and NO re-glazing. The glaze has a beautiful shine against the bright white ironstone. The well area shows only very minimal utensil marks seen only under close scrutiny when the platter is angled towards a bright light source. The backside shows both the appropriate triangular formation stilt marks along with the black transfer mark used by Alfred Meakin. This is a great useful size platter in excellent condition which could certainly be utilized as intended or simply displayed within a collection. The circular one is very faint but it reads in the 7th picture: J& G MEAKIN IRONSTONE CHINA" No 22 or 23 I am not sure. The J& G Meakin(Ltd) dated 1851- is mainly at the Eagle and Eastwood pottery works. Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and it should be noted that the marks without"England" pre-date 1890. The platter has normal circular blemishes( hickey's) I call them with very light surface nicks. All has been shown in the pictures. There is no cracks or repairs and is in absolutely incredible shape given the age of the piece, there is one small surface scratch at the edge of the platter. The underside has the normal wear as of any platter of this age. Due to the age of the item please refer to the pictures ... moreand if you require any additional information, just ask. This is a 13 3\4 by 9 3\4 inch. 1890 J& G Meakin, Hanley England, ironestone china serving platter. The marking on the back dates this heavy piece to the 1890's. This platter is heavily crazed and has some rough spots in the glaze along the rim. There is one very small, square chip, some discolored spots, and general signs of age and use.

This stoneware platter has an excellent mark 2" by 1. dating this piece back to 1877-1882. This was a common, household serving platter in the 1870s. Antique J. CLEMENTSON Ironstone China Platter Lafayette Shape England C. 1839-64
This hard to find white ironstone platter. Which measures approximately 14 1/4" x 10 1/2" x 1 3/4" high, was produced in England sometime between 1839 and 1864. J. Joseph) Clementson was apprentice to J& W Ridgway before he opened his own business in Shelton at the Phoenix Works. The underside is imprinted with 2 circles; one inside the other. The outer circle reads. J. Clementson" along the top and"Lafayette Shape" along the bottom. Inside the middle of the inner circle it reads, Ironstone China. There is also another imprint on the underside of the rim which reads, 8. see photos. For a platter that is between 149 and 174 years old. It is in remarkably good condition overall. There are minor surfaces scratches, some brown-toning(which I did not attempt to remove) some minor manufacturer's inclusions ... moreand one chip about 1/4" along the underside of the rim(see photo) as well as a tiny chip near the first one, too small to measure. All of these concerns are consistent with age and use. This is a true antique- which are getting harder and harder to come by.

Cockson and Seddon. Information that I could find dates this from the 1870's but am not 100% sure. There is the word GOTHIC imprinted in the back. There is also another mark imprinted but don't know what it is. There is some pitting noted on the sides and these are the photo that I included. Antique Staffordshire Ironstone Platter, Japan Opaque China
This vividly hand-painted small platter is 9 1/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches. It signed on the reverse with a banner bearing the title"Japan Opaque China. Although indistinct. In the lower left corner of the banner appear to be the letters"IB CS. Also, hand-painted on the reverse are the red numerals"767. This may be the artist's identification. We were unable to identify the maker, but undoubtedly this is an English piece from the mid-19th century, circa 1830-1850. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. Along the rim are several glaze flakes, as shown in the photo.

It is stamped and signed"Richard Alcock Burslem Staffordshire imperial ironstone china" It is in good condition with not chips or scratches. The top side of the platter looks very good overall. It has a few pen dot sized marks or pitts but in the scope of the platter's size it is not particularly noticible. The underside is sound but it does have a few discolored areas and several of the pen dot sized pitting. These can be seen in the last few photos. You are bidding on a English Ironstone Chinese platter with two handles. The platter is from the mid/late 1800s and is numbered 3 of 832. The item is 11 3/4 inches long by 9 3/4 inches wide. It has two handles and it's use seems to be a serving platter. The platter has beautiful flower designs as well as birds. Bridges, Chinese homes and boats. This is a GORGEOUS and very lavish design IRONSTONE platter. As you can see in the pictures. There are no chips or cracks! There is some normal very minor crazing underneath the glaze which is normal for its antique age but nothing to stop from using it. It is an EXQUISITE platter. This platter measures almost 13 inches by almost 11 inches and has a nice solid weight to it. My mother took very very good care of this platter! I am sorry but I cannot make out the name underneath. Antique MASON'S Patent Ironstone China 15" PLATTER #3278 Japanese Imari ~ 1830's
This is an Antique MASON'S Patent Ironstone China Oval Serving PLATTER with a Japanese Floral Imari Pattern of Gilded Cobalt. Orange and light blue. The oval shape is lightly scalloped with raised edge and measures 15 1/2 inches by 12 inches wide. Condition is very good with no cracks, chips or repairs. There are minor utensil scratches and some characteristic antique crazing of the glaze on the reverse. The shape of the hallmark crown appears to indicate the date of 1830 to 1848 and the pattern design is 3278. It has the combed back base. Wonderful leaf shape with scalloped edging and an open handle at one end. Wispy floral transfers of violet and yellows have been place on a cream background making it just delightful. Gold. Antique Limoges ? embossed gold trim square ironstone china platter w circle
This is a very square platter that measures 12" by 1/4" It is a white embossed china ironstone type porcelain. It has a gold circle right in the middle and an unusual mark(see photos) on the back. It has no chips or scratches but the gold trim is worn quite a bit. It does have handles. It may be made by Johnson Bros. Homer Laughlin, or perhaps Limoges-not sure.
