The colors are a beautiful teal or celadon green background and a mix of greens. Purples and burgundy. It measures 11 inches long. 9 inches wide and stands 3.25 inches tall. It is in excellent antique condition for its great age with a small hairline and a small chip that was colored in and is very hard to see. There are stilt marks on the back from the kiln and overall glaze crazing which is normal and expected for a piece of majolica this old. Offered for your personal collection is this beautiful antique French majolica asparagus platter server for the beauty of your table. This was made between 1800-1890. It features 13 asparagus spears held together in a woven basket with a blue and yellow flower with green leaves on each side. It has two wells on either side for sauce. To be as old as it is. It is in excellent condition for its age. On the front there is some wear to the high points of the blue flowers and leaves. On the back there are a few edge nibbles and chips are missing from both feet, this does not make the piece unstable at all and are not seen unless you turn it over. These small flaws are normal and are to be expected with antique majolica. It measures 14.5 inches long. 9.5 inches wide and stands 3.5 inches tall.
