Exceptional Imari Oriental 18c. English Porcelain Serving Platter Coalport
This amaziing English Porcelain Oriental/ Imari Type Serving Platter measures about 10-1/4" x 8-3/4" x 2-1/4" tall. A previous owner had identified the item as 18c. Coalport Porcelain. While i do believe it could be this old due to the greenish coloration of the porcelain itself(may be early 19th c. I am unsure whether they where correct as to its factory attribution. What is clear is that it is a nice bit of good quality early English Porcelain. Much of the gilding is gone while the enameling otherwise seems in good showing condition. The Platter/ Tray has reticulated edges as well as handles. It measures about 12 ½ inches tall and 15 ¾ inches wide and is in fair shape including a spider crack on back and face in the center of the large house that is hard to see. It is still in surprising shape for 1832. This listing is a consignment I accepted and shipping is an estimate as item(s) is not packed until sold. Antique Red Transferware Platter Oriental Views Marked WR 17"
This is a stunning old platter. Red transferware marked on the back Oriental and the initials WR. A beautiful view of royalty riding a camel amidst gardens, trees and fancy oriental buildings. There is some superficial scratches on the front and a superficial crack you can see in the photo to the left of the insigna on the back, this does not go thru to the front. There is crazing and some darkening of the cream color as would be expected with age here and there but all in all this piece is in really nice condition.

On the sled is"Oriental Print Works" the platter has handles that look like twigs of wood with Holly around the rim of the platter. This particular design was originally done in 1868 by Edward Peck for Oriental Print Works. I have no idea of the age of this item. It has been in my aunt's possession for many years, she can't remember how long. Only notable flaw being some scuffs on rim and under the bottom.
