Condition: Used Gorgeous antique 19th century porcelain and copper large oval lidded warming serving platter/tray. It's got no markings on it that I could find. But I've found several that are almost identical that say that this is from The Buffalo Mfg. Co. The copper bottom has an opening to put in hot water to keep your food warm. It's in nice condition for it's age, free from any breaks, chips, or cracks. The copper body of the warming piece has some slight scuffs and dings to it, so please examine the pictures carefully. The porcelain platter inside has some crazing which isn't unusual in older pieces of glass. Please examine the pictures closely. I've not tried to clean this piece up, but it should shine ... moreup nicely. It measures about 3 1/2" high by 16 7/8" long from handle to handle. Wow! vintage copper and brass Buffalo mfg warming dish
Fabulous vintage copper and brass warming plate. Bottom is marked Buffalo manufacturing co. with the number 8 on it. It shines up like crazy. Plate has crazing on it but looks great. There are some flea bite pits on the cover but I don't think it detracts from it. There is a spout on the side that you would pour hot water into the base which is hollow below the plate. The screw on the spout is brass as are all the handles. The side ones have wood inserts. Interesting dish and could make a great decorator piece in an antique home. Check out my!

Antique Copper Warming Dish with Porcelain Plate by Buffalo Mfg Co. Vintage
This is a great looking dish. It is a vintage Buffalo Manufacturing Warming Dish and was used to keep food warm by putting hot water in the spout at the side. The plate is made of porcelain and measures 15" in diameter. From handle to handle it measures 16" long. It is 2" from bottom to top of dish. It has 2 handles that are made of copper and wood and a spout at one side to put the hot water in. The spout is missing its cap. The design of the dish has a pretty floral pattern of yellows. Purples with green and the center has a very lovely colourful pheasant. The bottom of this dish is made from copper and is in very good condition. The writing on the bottom reads'Manufactured by Buffalo MFG Co, Buffalo N.Y. It does not come with its lid. Antique 1900-1940 porcelain & copper warming plate by Buffalo Mfg. Company - USA
Beautiful 13 1/2"porcelain dish set in and attached to a 17" long wood handle to wood handle copper tray. 2" deep. 6 1/2 copper beads as legs. Made to be filled with water to maintain food warm. It has not been used for ages so cap to add water does not come off easily. This pieces dates back to approximately 1900. Multi-colored bird perched upon a sprig covered with pink blossoms is its center surrounded by a green border next 3 blossom springs. And lastly ochre/olive trim. Very good condition. Porcelain shows typical signs of antique aging and use. Copper shows typical signs of antique copper aging(scattered spotting/streaking) mostly on its bottom. Streaking is mostly fine, only"simulating" scratches. 1 tiny 1/4" scratch on bottom. Natural lime green oxidation on handle undersides. Stamped on the bottom. Very ... moregood condition.
