A large blue and white platter in the Poppy pattern. By Villeroy and Boch, Dresden, Germany. The platter has an attractive clear flow blue design of poppies and vine leaves. We believe the mark to be late 19th/very early 20th century to 1930s. Apart from the makers mark there are also the letters EC indented with the letter N underneath the EC and the size number 1. The piece is in good condition apart from chip to the underside of the platter at the rim edge. This is not visible from the front and does not detract from this quite stunning platter. The platter measures 19" long by 13.5" wide and weighs 4lbs.

Almost 19" Platter Richard Alcock Burslem Staffordshire imperial ironstone china
This vintage white Staffordshire platter is almost 19 long. It is stamped and signed"Richard Alcock Burslem Staffordshire imperial ironstone china" It is in good condition with not chips or scratches. The top side of the platter looks very good overall. It has a few pen dot sized marks or pitts but in the scope of the platter's size it is not particularly noticible. The underside is sound but it does have a few discolored areas and several of the pen dot sized pitting. These can be seen in the last few photos. The width is about 13 1/2" and it weighs 5 lbs 14 oz. I have taken photos of several sides and angles. Please view them as they often speak for themselves. Gorgeous. Very old blue and white transferware platter in"Rural Village" pattern from my mother's estate. She was an antique dealer who loved blue and white, and found she couldn't bear to part with this one. The dealer from whom she bought it claimed it was an Andrew Stevenson piece, but I'm doubtful because it lacks his stamp. I believe. Based upon my research, that it was manufactured in the early 1800s by James and Ralph Clews. Of Cobridge, Staffordshire, where Stevenson also manufactured at that time, due to the crown of the type they used. In the center of the mark. This pattern was known also as"Village Church" for obvious reasons) and the border mimics to a great extent the well-known"Wild Rose" pattern. The platter is in excellent antique condition. With no chips or cracks, just subtle crazing ... moreoverall and wear marks on the underside of the well. It measures 14 1/2" by 19" by 1 5/8" deep. VERY RARE Antique 1865 W Fairbairns Armorial Large 19" PLATTER GOLD & Silver
This Auction is for a VERY RARE and LARGE"W. FAIRBAIRNS& SONS" antique Porcelain Armorial Platter with a puce Colored crowned garter shaped back stamp. This China is remarkable- even though it is 150 years old. It is as good or better than any china you will see today- the quality of production and finish is outstanding- I believe it is actually better than any of the similarly aged Derby. Minton or actually any of the other English porcelain makers of that time or of today. The Platter measures approximately 18 3/4 inches long by 15 inches across and is marked with the pattern number H 2467. This is a very well made and heavy platter- it weighs approximately 3 Kg or 6 1/2 lbs. The Platter has a beautifully decorative rim with a pastel bluish/green band accented with gilding and a shield shape armorial with Intial's which ... moreI believe are an"I" and an"O" with the"I" in silver and the"O" on top in gold- I have never seen two different colors of gilding used on the table ware. The wider gold band is actually over an impressed(into the porcelain) pattern of conjoined circles with flowers with 5 dots as petals and a stem with 2 leaves. The Platter is in Very Good Condition. With no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs and the gilding(although showing some wear) is still in quite nice condition. NB: I have included the information I found on William Fairbairns on the Internet as Godden’s Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks(1989 reprint) had no information on him. The William Fairbairns mark was a printed garter type mark with crown above and occurs with the name‘WM. Fairbairns’ and appears to only have been used for the years 1863 to 1865. Fairbairns. William was associated with three partnerships that were all located in Hanley, Staffordshire dating from c1863-1891. His first partnership was with Thomas Cooper. Shelton(Hanley) 1863-1865. Fairbairns was one of the executors and trustees who continues on with the firm when Cooper died. This partnership

It would make a perfect serving platter for an upcoming holiday feast. The pattern has a molded ring of wheat stalks around the border against white ironstone. The platter is in Very Good condition. This is a very large antique platter that measures close to 20" 19&1/2" x 13&1/2" x 2&1/2" It is made by Limoges and has L Sazerat as the artist. It has an irrigular shape and is very heavy. It is white with light blue feathery swirls and delicate flowers and brown dots on the border and center madillion. It is also embossed. There is one chip on the rim that has been touched up and is hard to find or see. It is apx. 3/4" See second picture at the 12 thirty position. It is heavy! It displays to great advantage and is one of the largest platters made by Limoges or any other china company. This is a thousand dollar platter if in mint condition! Antique Davenport Blue Transfer Staffordshire 19 Inch Platter The Villagers 1825. Fine antique Staffordshire transferware platter by Davenport(1794- 1887) in"The Villagers" pattern. A young man plays a pipe while a woman and dog look on. Beside them a small girl crawls over the piper's hat. Marked with an impressed"Davenport" anchor mark on the back. The all caps lettering shows that this platter was made after 1820. Probably during the period 1820- 1830. Very good/ excellent condition. No chips. Cracks or repairs. No crazing of the glaze, remarkably for such a large piece of 200 year old earthenware. Very little utensil wear in the center. One glaze nick on the top rim, as shown. Please view the detail photos. There is some slight staining in the upper left quadrant, in the sky areas of the central picture; as shown; ... morequite minor. Whampoa Platter For your consideration I have an very large ultra rare flow blue platter that has a broth well as well as grooves sometimes referred to as a tree. Platter measures 19" long and 15.5" wide. Exceptionally large. The platter is free of cracks or repairs. There is a small old chip on the right side near rim. I do not see any browning or crazing. The 3 area on the underside where the platter touches a table have worn spots. Please use my picture as a part of my description.
