MY PLACE SETTING is offering one Anthony Shaw and Sons Opaque Stone China 13.5" Ironstone Platter. It is in excellent condition with one spot where the glaze has worn off. Otherwise no chips. Cracks, discoloration. Very few knife marks or signs of use in the center of the platter. Wonderful heavy piece weighing in at over 2.5 lbs.

T his antique Tureen bowl can be dated to around 1891-1898 Manufactured at Burslem. One of the Six Towns of Stoke-on-Trent, known as the Mother Town of the North Staffordshire Potteries. This is a gorgeous piece with quite a history. Around 120 years old! This is a wonderful example of 19th century English porcelain and will make a great addition(and conversation piece! in any home Measures 11" from handle to handle. 6" wide, 2.75" tall to top of platter not including lid. Of all her brown china wear. This plate was my Grandmothers prize. We think it was given her by her own mother. Which fits in the time period of late 1800's. It's title is"Pomona" and we think it is a rare one. Or at least difficult to find. We would like it to remain with a collector. And will protect it well for shipping to it's new home.

Shown is a wonderful ANTIQUE IRONSTONE TEA LEAF PLATTER by ANTHONY SHAW& SON of England. The tea leaf at the center and the stripe at edge are in gold. Measures 15" X 10 3/4" Could date as early as the 1880's. Marvelous condition- no chips. Cracks or restorations. Just the expected light crazing(after 135 years) When taken out of the kiln, the tripod placement was on the upside rather than backside leaving 3 miniscule marrings on that upside(no deduction) Shaw use the Arms mark on this piece dating it to the 1880's. It has no chips or cracks, however, it shows some age wear like light utensils marks and wear on edges.Rectangle platter is by Mellor Taylor& Co.
