This is a beautiful old platter. It is a very large piece measuring 14.25 inches across. It is edged in a two tone diamond band and features an outdoor scene with a rickshaw type of cart in the center. A very unusual design. It does have some crazing and minor discoloration due to age as you would expect. But otherwise very good with no chips or cracks. It would be beautiful hung on a wall or as a centerpiece. Large Antique Staffordshire Davenport Blue Willow Platter - Circa 1860's
Normal 0 Large Antique Staffordshire Davenport Blue Willow Platter- Circa 1860's Beautiful Large Blue Willow Pattern platter by Davenport. One of the Staffordshire, English potteries. Has the full features of traditional Blue Willow design. Approx. 15 ½ inches long. 12 ¼ inches wide. Heavy English Staffordshire semi-vitreous porcelain. No chips or cracks. Some glaze wear on the edges. There is darkening to the back side edges. If this were a book. I would call it“foxing” around the edge. The bottom is marked with the blue Davenport stamped mark and the partially visible impressed Davenport Anchor mark. Would coordinate well with most traditional Blue Willow from the various English makers. Amazing that a piece this large could survive so well for so long– but is a testimony to the quality that makes Staffordshire ware antique ... morepieces so desirable for modern collectors! Exceptional Blue Willow Platter from Early 19th C. - 11.25" by 15"
An exceptional early 19th century platter in the traditional Blue Willow transferware design. What makes this exceptional is twofold: one. It's in excellent condition after 200 years; and, two, it looks and feels classical and special. The detail in the transfers are finely done and the color overall is a soft cobalt. Border designs vary in Blue Willow and the one used in this platter is of the Spode design. Though I cannot attribute the platter as Spode. The platter actually doesn't have a manufacturer's mark. Although it does have two impressions, a numeral, 14" and a star-like mark(see close-ups) According to The Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery 1780-1880. It is marked Staffordshire Stone China and is in excellent condition with the exception of the small chip shown in the picture. The edges are slightly scalloped The colors are bright and crisp. Superb Blue Willow Platter from Early 19th C. - 10" by 13 7/8"
Lovely 19th century platter in the traditional Blue Willow transferware design. With exceptional transfers of very detailed and multi-design patterns in a gorgeous color of blue. It's in excellent condition after 200 years, free of any chips or cracks. As with most antique plates and platters of this age, there is minor crazing. Also, note that there are a few flea-bite size areas where the glaze didn't take and thus age has put its mark there, with some tan stains. Nothing that detracts but that adds to the charm. There are eight Chinoiserie-style butterflies adorning the rim and the well has the traditional Blue Willow scene. 1903 Buffalo Pottery Blue Willow Pattern Serving Platter - RARE 1st Production
Very rare 1903 Buffalo Pottery 9" serving platter. This is a first production of the highly popular Blue Willow pattern introduced to the U.S. in 1903 by the Buffalo Pottery Company. No cracks. No chips, and very little crazing. The platter is discolored it looks like it was cleaned with a wax based product over years because yellow marks have permeated the glaze and the platter is sticky to the touch. I've tried to clean with hydrogen peroxide soak at 30% It helped considerably but did not eliminate the discoloration marks.

ANTIQUE BURSLEM ENGLAND TRANSFERWARE PLATTER, BLUE WILLOW STYLE WITH ELEPHANT
This blue and white earthenware platter was made by John Steventon& Sons. Burslem, England, sometime between 1923-1936. The design is very similar to blue willow, but includes a man with an elephant! This large transferware platter measures 14" X 11.5" weighs over 2 pounds and is in excellent condition. With very little wear. The underside does have some staining. The British National Trust has one in its possession and calls this style of platter a"meat plate. It has a lovely floral border that extends about 3" and wraps around the perimeter of the platter. The part of the platter with the main design is recessed. This area measures approx. 9" X 6. The platter has seen light use. And there are no chips or cracks. The back of the platter is clearly marked with a blue stamp that reads"Reproduction of Rogers ... more1780. MADE IN ENGLAND, John Steventon& Sons Ltd, Burslem. For sale is a beautiful platter in the Blue Willow pattern by Brameld. It is marked Brameld+1. The platter measures 21.5" x 16.5" It was made in the early 1800's. Brameld manufactured pottery in the Yorkshire area until 1826 when it was renamed the Rockingham Works. Please note that there is damage to the platter which has been expertly repaired as seen in the wiring which also allows for hanging. A crack extends from the top middle down towards the lef t middle of the platter where it is only slightly visible. I have tried to capture this in the photos. The last photo shows what appear to be flaws in the glazing. The platter looks beautiful hung or sitting on a table. From a smoke-free and pet-free home.

Antique 1800's G.R.& Co.Staffordshire Eng.Stone China Large Blue Willow Platter
Lovely platter is in very good condition for its age and measures 1 6/8 inches high. And 12 4/8 inches by 15 6/8 inches on front. Manufacturer is Godwin Rowley Co. Platter has great coloration. There are no breaks, cracks, hairlines. Front has several very small marks where the top glaze has come off-some might be the stilt marks. Others might be burst bubbles? Back has unusual circular raised area on the large bearing surface. There is a slightly raised small area with a blue coloration and an unusual crazing-it's under the glaze, area feels smooth to the touch and does not show on other side-maybe it's a burst bubble? Back also has these exposed stoneware marks-most are in one area on the outer rim. I think they might be flaws done in the manufacture-burst bubbles? It's wonderful the platter has survived in this condition considering ... moreits age. Thanks for looking and Good Luck if bidding!
