This auction is for a LARGE Ironstone serving platter made by Edward Clarke. Tunstall, England between 1865 and 1877(making this great platter between 137- 149 years old! It measures 21 1/2" x 14 3/4" and weighs 6 pounds 8 ounces! Marked on the back with the Royal Coat of Arms, along with the words"DIEU ET MON DROIT" God and My Right) and"EDWARD CLARK, PORCELAIN, TUNSTALL, OPAQUE" This platter has the oldest Edward Clark English mark and is not a piece that was produced and marked for export to the U.S. as you see with some pieces. This platter is free from chips or damage. It does have crazing throughout. G.W.Turner&Sons“Phileau" Transferware Sauce Bowl Tunstall England 1880 This is a simply stunning ironstone sauce bowl in the Brown Transferware pattern called"Phileau" Manufactured in the 1880's by G. W. Turner& Sons, Tunstall, England. It measures 4 3/4" in diameter. The crisp PHILEAU pattern features delightful Japanesque and geometric designs of the aesthetic movement. Flowering tree branches and a mountainous lake in the full moon light. The pattern captures the victorian eras love of nature. Excellent condition for a piece this old. No chips or cracks- a few minor stains- and light utensil scratching in the bottom of the bowl. Very pretty and rare. Item is sold as is. My pictures are very clear. Thanks for looking! PayPal only.

The dish is crazed throughout and one little nick on the underside near the edge. The spoon is slotted and has an acorn design.
