$17.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Sparta, United States Due to this lovely site blocking a lot of the top end makers when listed outside of Europe please log into the US version of the site if you are in Europe ... moreto see all items or just look up porcelainbiz in your favorite search engine to find all my goodies or go through my Me page to find the link. I can always list an item you are interested in so just let me know! For sale is a plate made by Hoechst in about 1760. It is handpainted with a large floral arrangement in the center as well as lots of smaller flowers scattered throughout and a brown trim to the edge. Nice shape to the porcelain as well. The plate is in superb condition with three small spots of green paint flaking off leaves. One of them was overpainted a bit to hide it. The green paint flaking is a common problem on 18th century porcelain- not sure what it was with the green but all makers had the same issue on their early wares! Displays perfectly! It is marked underneath with the above glaze red wheel mark with eight spokes as well as an incised C 3 or something along those lines. The plate is 1.625 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like KPM. Sevres and so on or contact me through Ebay.
