This auction is for a 7 piece set of Antique Wm Adams& Sons Du Barry English Ironstone Brown Transferware. The set includes a 13 1/2" by 10" Platter- a 9 1/2" by 7 1/8" by 2" Serving Bowl- three 8 1/8" Plates- two 10 1/8" Plates. The plates all have considerable crazing and discoloration and two have tight hairline cracks- the platter has only minor crazing and no chips or cracks- the serving bowl has only very minor crazing and no cracks or chips.

Gorgeous old platter for all you ironstone and transferware fans and collectors. A great addition to a collection. Or very sturdy to using daily. Fifteen inches long. And 10 inches wide, this platter is durable and practical. The rim is fluted, and the transferware pattern is called Princess. Its condition is excellent. With no chips, chunks or crazing or checking. A tiny bit of glazing is worn off to a dull finish on one edge, but I hadn't noticed it in the 30 years I've owned it until just now when I inspected it for listing. The Registration number is 94616. This is a beautiful antique English Gaudy Ironstone platter in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The platter measures 17" long, 14" wide and 1 5/8" high to the edge of the rim. The platter has a Japanese Imari motif in brilliant colors. It is opaque with the bottom showing the marks"A 106f" and a very small incomplete circle. There are very minor signs of wear and use. Very light crazing appears overall. I judge this to be C.1865- compared to other similar pieces of this era. This is a beautiful and stunning large platter in great condition with an Oriental Imari floral style decoration that would accommodate the most recent popular decorating themes or supplement a distinguished collection. RARE Antique Early 19thC English Mason's Ironstone Imari Style Dragon Platter
Up for bids is this RARE Antique Early 19thC English Mason's Ironstone Imari Style Dragon Platter. The edge of this platter is impressed MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA. This mark was used by Mason's between 1813 and 1820. I have never seen a piece in this pattern but it is similar to Gaudy Welsh and Imari. The dragon seems to have more of a Chinese influence and the center has a large 5 toed dragon that is flying in clouds which are painted in tones of blue and orange. The platter has a molded rim with flowers. The platter measures 19 5/8" in length. 16 1/2" in width, and stands 1 3/8" in height. This piece is in great condition with only one tiny flea bite that occurred in the factory and is glazed over. There is some slight wear to the paint in a few spots.
