One arm, and 2 side chairs. they are ... morenewly recovered with a gorgeous soft pink fabric that is nicely tufted. i said newly, the fabric may be a few years old but it is in new condition. i am not for sure what the fabric may be. i bought this set from a wealthy estate and it is possible that it is silk, but i can not be for sure. at any rate, it is a very fine fabric. there are no damages to the set as far as i can tell, save one of the casters on the sofa kept falling out so i put a dowel in the hole, glued it and redrilled it for the caster. other than that i know of no damage or repairs to the set. it is very sturdy with no wiggles or wobbles etc. the backs of the chairs are all nicely laminated. my pictures are not very good as the lighting where i have this set is poor. the entire set of course is pierced carved in the finest fashion. the detail on this set is as good as i have ever seen in stanton hall. the finish is wonderful, however, my pictures are dull and that is not the true state of the finish. also the color of the wood and fabric is not exact by along shot. i will take the arm chairs outside tomorrow and get some pictures in the sunlight. the room they are in is inside the middle of my house and there are no windows there. anyway, i can get some much more accurate photos of the finish and colors of the wood and fabric and should anyone care to see them i will be more than happy to send them to you. also if there is anything else you want to see close up of, please ask and i will supply them as well. the legs are nicely carved, fluted, and contoured which does not show well in the pictures, nor does the carving in the center of the front of the seat support show very well. it is i promise you a very wonderful set. i am starting it at a money back price or less. i see a three piece set on ebay for 55K and 2 side chairs for 20K. the sofa is 66 inches wide, 49 inches tall, and the seat is

This is gorgeous. Pictures don't even come close to showing how rich and nice this set is. And. The condition is excellent. It's worth more than I'm asking, but need to move it fast. Please note: LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. So if you live in Portland, OR you're 5 hours north of us, and if you're in San Francisco CA, you're South, a 5 hour drive. The settee and arm chair have nicely carved claw feet and the back of all three pieces have sea shell carved crests. there is also nice carving where the arms attach to the backs and carving down both sides of the backs of each piece. it has had new fabric put on the seats in the last 4 or 5 years, i forget for sure when i had that done. i have cleaned the wood and polished it. the sofa is a bit over 50 inches wide, a bit over 38.5 tall at the crest, and the depth of the seats on all three pieces is right at 20 inches. the rocker is 36 tall and 23 wide, the arm chairs 38.5 tall and 23 wide. i believe the casters are original to the sofa and arm chair, of course the rocker has none. it had a karpen paper tag that came off when recovering ... morea few years back. i forget what piece it was on but it fell off when removing the old fabric. i still have the tag somewhere. i will look for it and can send a picture of the tag should anyone care to look at it. it is in overall excellent shape to be 100 years old. there are a few minor dings in the wood, but none large enough to picture, the back of the arm chair has a couple of small depression in the wood, i don't think they showed in the pictures however. they don't amount to anything. actually there are no dings or dents in the wood that can be easily seen and are just consistent with age and use. the function of the set is not compromised in any way. it is very sturdy and solid. it is a great set. it can be picked up at my home or shipped at buyers expense. i can help arrange shipment if that would be helpful for anyone. good luck.

EASTLAKE Furniture Circa 1880 5 piece Parlor Settee Platform Rocker Corner Chair
My mother gave me these beautiful Victorian Eastlake pieces years ago and I always planned to recover and refinish. All pieces have the original green velvet. I did pull the braided trim from four of the pieces and stapled a leopard print fabric on top. It can be pulled off and the original green velvet would be exposed. I don't know where the green braid is. However. I believe all the pieces should be re-upholstered anyway. Three pieces are part of a complete set and have matching trim. All pieces have original casters and need serious cleaning or reupholstery. Major Defects are noted here: Settee has stained velvet. Armpiece is ripped, Wood has scratches especially on one side(looks like cat scratches) Lowback chair needs the pedimont re-attached. Gentleman's Parlor Arm Chair, with Carved Wood Trim. The chair has very nice details. At the top or crown of the oval is a detailed wood carving of the Jenny Lind style face and head. An image of this carved head on the chair. Is included above. A v ery interesting characteristic. And tribute after the Civil War period. There seems to possibly be a type of burl wood overlay on the upper part of the oval, wood backrest. Very nice chair. With ornate details. All the woodwork is in overall very good condition.no apparent rips or tears in upholstery. The chair has been recovered and is in pretty nice condition. This is a 7 piece walnut Victorian parlor set consisting of a settee. Gent's chair, lady's chair, and 4 side chairs. The condition of this set is excellent. The finish is original. The fabric is impressive with only slight staining on the settee seat, and a slight spot of a stain on the back of the gent's chair, also a slight spot on the back of one side chair, and a slight spot on the seat of one side chair. These existing stains do not detract from the pieces and the eye is not immediately drawn to these slight stains. The settee measures 56" wide x 42.5 tall x 21" deep. Notice the pronounced crest and all the applied and carved detailing. See how the 3 top applied small panels are outlined with ebonizing faced with burled walnut. Additional burled walnut panels are set above the settees upholstered backs and in the middle of the seat rail below. The pierced carved treatment in the center of the settee is nicely carved and well defined. The arms of the settee are rounded and curved. The legs are boldly turned. These same elements are repeated on all the chairs. The gent's chair with arms measures 46" high x 23.5" wide x 22" deep. The lady's chair measures 45.5" tall x 21" wide x 21" deep. The 4 side chairs measure 39" tall x 19" wide x19" deep. The gent's chair and the lady's chair retain all their original wooden castors. All other pieces retain original wooden castors on the front legs but the back legs have round flat metal tabs instead. These tabs do not stand out or detract from the beauty of the set. 3 Piece 18th C. Victorian Settee Set upholstered green damask carved wood settee is 36/37" high 59/60" long arm chair is 42/43" high 28"wide side chair 36" high set is in excellent condition. Small 2"mark on back of arm chair where finish is removed fabric is clean and in just about excellent condition settee and arm chair are on wheels i have just started selling on Ebay and do not have feedback we are moving and this would be an estate sale where we will be selling many things from our own estate.
