Well-maintained antique condition, the frames are solid- there are some joints that show small lines of seperation, but nothing that affects the stability or useability of the piece. The cream paint and gilded areas are very good, there is some flaking to the gilding, and the front of the arms that would have received the most wear have seen some over-painting. My mother gave me these beautiful Victorian Eastlake pieces years ago and I always planned to recover and refinish. All pieces have the original green velvet. I did pull the braided trim from four of the pieces and stapled a leopard print fabric on top. It can be pulled off and the original green velvet would be exposed. I don't know where the green braid is. However. I believe all the pieces should be re-upholstered anyway. Three pieces are part of a complete set and have matching trim. All pieces have original casters and need serious cleaning or reupholstery. Major Defects are noted here: Settee has stained velvet. Armpiece is ripped, Wood has scratches especially on one side(looks like cat scratches) Lowback chair needs the pedimont re-attached. 1890'S WALNUT VICTORIAN EASTLAKE SETTEE CHAIR ORNATE CARVING
Victorian Walnut Eastlake Settee in original condition with ornate carving. It is covered in original light green tufted velvet and includes a square pillow. This piece is probably from the late 1800's. It is a very sturdy bench style seat which is approximately 33" long. 20" deep and 36" high. It has original wood caster wheels. I see no broken parts or anything that has been glued together. Piece is in good condition for its age. Buyer will be responsible for pickup or shipping.

1895 Victorian marquetry settee and chair for museum or historic home
These pieces belonged to my mother's great-aunt Hettie E Longhead Tutnell who was born around 1870. Lived in New York and Pittsburgh, enjoyed china painting, and had fancy parlor furniture. My mother stored these pieces for 35 years, and I have stored them for the last 40 years. How lovely if they could be displayed somewhere! They are in perfect condition, tight joints and great finish. BUT the legs and arms are not the hefty wood of the mission style, no, these pieces want respect and distance. They are NOT practical, NOT suited for use by children, might not hold up a hefty modern American body. They are masterpieces of marquetry, and deserve to be seen. I have no place for them out in the open, so they sit in storage, awaiting a new owner. The chair has small wooden rollers at the bottom of the legs while the settee does not. The ... moresettee has a fabric-covered seat. And the chair has a needle point cover that was done in the 40's. The stuffing is probably the original horsehair. If you decide to buy these. You will have to pick them up or figure out shipping, so make your calls before you bid. There are a couple of reliable mover/shipper companies in Olympia Wa 98502(where the pieces are) who can connect you with nationwide shippers, or you can start at your end and talk to shippers about cost of shipping. The pieces are not heavy. I can see about getting shipping crates built, and padding for the pieces. Crates and padding will cost you about $50. Shipping costs will depend on where you are shipping to. I am guessing at the weight, and not sure what is going to show up in this listing about shipping costs and methods. Beautiful Needlepoint Covered Victorian Settee & Matching Chair
Up for auction is the very pretty Victorian settee and chair. The entire piece is covered in needlepoint, but it does have a few issues, a brace inside the settee will need to be re glued and the fabric needs to be re attached to the wood frame of the settee and the gimp will have to be re glued as well, It is usable but will need some TLC, The piece is being sold AS IS, The chair has NO issues at all and is covered in the same color needle point, This is a local pick up item as well.Feel Free to ask any questions, This was bought from a local estate sale, NO odors, stains or rips other then what was noted in my description, The settee is 57 1/2 inches long, 21 inches wide from the front leg to the back leg and it is 39 inches high from the floor to the top of the medallion in the back.

Victorian curved back settee with matching chair
Lovely settee and chair. I don't know anything about it- my mother-in-law got it for me. The color is an icy. Pastel blue that was difficult to photograph due to the reflection off the satiny material. It looks dingy in the photographs but it truly is not! It has an intricate pattern best seen in the last picture. It has obviously been reupholstered as the fabric is in very good condition with no wear or tears. The wood is dark with just a few scratches consistent with age. The chair came with it, although I cannot vouch for whether or not they are part of an original set. They appear to be. Excellent shape. Displayed in our bedroom but never used. We are moving to a more modern home where the Victorian style will not work. Smoke free home. Terrific antique Eastlake settee or wide chair that's perfect a side piece in a living or family room. It's carved with a vine design at top. And upholstered in needlepoint with complementary velvet. The ebonized wood(possibly walnut. Of which many of these were made) is in nice condition with some light surface wear in a few spots and minor nicks/chips on the bottom where the upholstery is attached. The only real condition issue is to the back of the carved. Decorative piece at the center/bottom; it has a good-sized chip and a smaller one, none of which can be seen from the front. The upholstery is in very good condition with just minor wear from age/use. But has no fading or holes. The roses on the seat are petit point, and the rest a larger needlepoint. This chaise longue still retains its original brown leather upholstery, which is in excellent condition. It is very rare to see chaises of this age. Especially in leather, which retains its original upholstery. This chaise has clearly had very little use over its lifetime and has been well looked after. The frame and turned legs are constructed of solid mahogany terminating in the original turned legs with the original brass& mug castors. The frame features an attractive up-swept carved left hand arm with pretty floral carvings to the arm and reeded frame. The chaise has a straight front. The front fascia is mirrored in the back design with a central floral support splat. The chaise can seat up to 3 persons. The frame of the chaise lounge features a rich mahogany colour. Vintage Antique Victorian Childs Doll Salesman Sample Chaise Couch Settee chair
For auction I have a really beautiful doll size antique Victorian chair and love seat. I purchased these at an estate sale. I'm not sure if there meant to be for dolls or if it was a salesman sample set. But at this sale it was full of Victorian clothes and Victorian furniture. It has the Rose on top of them carved in the wood just like I've seen on real furniture. It's a velvet red material. The love seat measures 15in long X 15 tall. The chair measures 9in X 16 1/2 tall. The legs on the love seat look as though they were broke and put back on at one time. Other than that there both in nice condition. I'm no expert but look at pics for best description. Antique Victorian parlor set, settee, gent's chair, lady's chair, 4 side chairs
This is a 7 piece walnut Victorian parlor set consisting of a settee. Gent's chair, lady's chair, and 4 side chairs. The condition of this set is excellent. The finish is original. The fabric is impressive with only slight staining on the settee seat, and a slight spot of a stain on the back of the gent's chair, also a slight spot on the back of one side chair, and a slight spot on the seat of one side chair. These existing stains do not detract from the pieces and the eye is not immediately drawn to these slight stains. Notice the deep tufting and great shirring along the edge of all the seats- a lost art for many upholsterers. The color of the upholstery on the set is a lovely taupe/beige, which is wonderful, allowing it to work within the color schemes of most any room and also saving the buyer the added expense of reupholstering ... morein order for it to fit into your existing color scheme. The settee measures 56" wide x 42.5 tall x 21" deep. Notice the pronounced crest and all the applied and carved detailing. See how the 3 top applied small panels are outlined with ebonizing faced with burled walnut. Additional burled walnut panels are set above the settees upholstered backs and in the middle of the seat rail below. The pierced carved treatment in the center of the settee is nicely carved and well defined. The arms of the settee are rounded and curved. The legs are boldly turned. These same elements are repeated on all the chairs. The gent's chair with arms measures 46" high x 23.5" wide x 22" deep. The lady's chair measures 45.5" tall x 21" wide x 21" deep. The 4 side chairs measure 39" tall x 19" wide x19" deep. The gent's chair and the lady's chair retain all their original wooden castors. All other pieces retain original wooden castors on the front legs but the back legs have round flat metal tabs instead. These tabs do not stand out or detract from the beauty of the set.
