PRICE REDUCED! THIS IS A $4500.00 ANTIQUE SOFA! This LARGE Victorian sofa is ALL ORIGINAL and dates back to the late 1800's(or VERY early 1900's) It is VERY UNUSUAL and a TRUE WORK OF ART. I highly doubt you will find anything like it as our family has collected French and Victorian antiques for as long as I can remember and I haven't seen anything close to it. This very special piece originally came from a French Estate in Europe. It is NOT a reproduction- this is the REAL THING. The workmanship and attention to detail is incredible. I cannot say the sofa is in Mint condition. But it is in EXCELLENT condition considering it is over ONE HUNDRED YEARS OLD. The wood is a deep walnut tone and ORNATELY carved with beautiful details on each hump and center crest. There are also carved roses in the leg portions and carving at the bottom ... moreof the seat. The legs are curved in true French Victorian style and are attached to tiny wheels. The wood is in perfect condition with no missing or repaired pieces. The upholstery is AUTHENTIC and ORIGINAL to the piece. The pattern and color is a SAGE GREEN(Celery Green) DAMASK. The back portion of the piece is PHENOMENAL- it is completely TUFTED with BUTTON CENTERS giving the piece a most ELEGANT look. The springs in the seat cushion are still tight and hold weight well. This piece was displayed in our sitting room in Florida for years and only used as an accent piece. The only flaw that stands out is some faint damage- ONLY ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE UPHOLSTERY. It appears that rust like colored stains have emerged(on the back of the left hump area toward the ground above the gimp trim) But it doesn't really show when displayed face forward. IT MAY CLEAN UP WITH UPHOLSTERY CLEANER but it probably would be best reupholstered. There is also a slight puncture in the upper portion of the back. But once again, as evidenced by my photos, you don't notice this area if placed against a wall. This is the condition in which we purchased the piece. It may come up with upholstery

Ornate Antique 19th Century French Caned Louis VX Style Canape en Corbeille For your consideration is a stunning antique French Louis XV style canape en corbeille. The piece is masterfully carved and painted in green and an ivory color and wonderful parcel gilt. The crest rail features a laurel wreath extending outward from a central floral rocaille. The rail continues with more floral carved decoration all the way to the bottom and around the back and inside around the cusion. The back is caned with a single layer and the outside panels are double caned. All of the caning is in excellent condition. The bottom features an oak and acorn motif broken up by a carved and gilted ribbon and the top rocaille decorations of each leg. The rocailles above the legs are very well carved and they sit above the cabriolet legs with scroll feet. The canape ... morehas some minor loss of paint that is consistent with normal use over the past 125+ years. There is also shrinkage at the joints and small cracks in the unseen places like the back of a leg. The piece is structurally sound and nothing is loose. It measures 69 inches wide. 40.5 inches tall, and 30.5 inches deep. Even though it does say local pickup only, I will ship this piece. C. late 19th Century Item# 130009KBR22 This wonderfully carved and embellished chaise lounge is a fine example of the craftsmanship and quality during the Rococo Revival period of the late 19th Century. Precisely and expertly chiseled and carved. The molded frame exhibits robust rocaille carvings in the crest and three divisions of the apron- these are not identical carvings, but rather each is imagined and executed with artistic leisure. Likewise, acanthus influenced swirls break through the molding and allow the frame to meander more subtly in it's barrel back form, culminating in the handholds that each exhibit the typical foliage wrap over seen in these forms; ... morehowever, the bold character of even these hand holds is exemplary, the foliage lifting in the back to curl where the wrist would rest. The cushion is deeply and comfortably stuffed. Presumably with down(though we have not actually checked the contents- if this is important to you, we can certainly do so) resting over a long and comfortable lounge surface. The apron is lively and well carved between each of the six cabriole legs, these terminating in scrolled french toes. For anyone who cherishes the French Louis XV Style in general. This is an absolutely wonderful find. Remaining very sturdy and strong in all joints, it is a piece that can actively be enjoyed and used in the home on a daily basis. Perfect for the bedroom, the sunroom or the living areas, it is a chaise lounge that was built to last and be enjoyed. The set is in nice shape as the pics show with it having a newer upholstery on it and is down filled. There is some wear to the gold leaf throughout and it comes exactly as the pics show.
