It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. Victorian Settee Antique Sofa Loveseat Couch Camelback Camel Back Cameo Back
We are selling a Victorian Settee- I'm not sure how old it is exactly but I'd guess that it's from the mid to late 1800's. I purchased it from an antique store a few years ago and they didn't have any information about it. It's a pretty teal color- the back is the same as the front(the flash from the camera makes it look a little lighter but it's not) It is nicely carved and the upholstery is in very good condition- no stains or rips. I am not sure if the upholstery is original or not. The sofa measures approximately 64" long. 25" wide and the seat sits at 16. This was bought at an estate sale in Virginia. I know little about it but was told by the seller that it is from the 1800s. That's not verified. It's really lovely and with updated upholstery it would be gorgeous. The upholstery is in good shape except for the arm where the binding is loose. There are 2 spots where the wood is marred but otherwise looks good to me.very ornate. Casters on front legs. The bottom lining is a bit loose and burlap is visible under the lining. Beautiful victorian couch. I have no idea of the year it was produced? Ive tried to do some research and have found no couch like this. Burnt orange& gold in color. Some fading and a few rips on back side of couch. Nothing major considering the age of this piece. I get many" I adore this sofa" when people come to visit. However in this house I just don't have the room for it and I really need the money at the moment. This couch is three pieces as pictured. It truely is a unique treasure. I think the date on this piece is 69. When I removed the pillow there is a rip. So therefore I'm dropping the price. You can not see the rip when cushion is on. But I was disappointed when I saw it. This is a really old set of sofa and chair furniture. The old man that owned them said they belonged to his grandparents. They are probably late 1800s. The wood on the chair matches the sofa. But the upholstery is a different shade. The upholstery on both pieces needs cleaned. Both of these pieces are heavy, it almost takes three men to lift the couch. This sofa/ couch was made in the Civil War era. 1820-1860) It is 82" long and 39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand carved walnut wood about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of ... morethe sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. It is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover. That is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric. It is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. There are some small chips in the walnut and some of the edges of the carvings have been chipped. The sofa is solid mahogany and has wonderful carved detail featuring fruits and hairy paw front feet. The back feet are plain. The sofa measures 86” long. 33-1/2” high, 23” deep, and the seat is approximately 19” high. The sofa frame is all there and mostly solid. But the left arm needs gluing. The fabric is in OK condition. And was put on in 1968. There are also some old repairs on both arms(see pictures) Please look at all of the pictures carefully as they are part of the description.
