The frame has lovely carved walnut on both the centre back panel and on the arms, the arms terminated on brass cup castors with porcelain wheels( pictured) the chaise is in good order but would need recovering if you are worried about the odd marks that come with a piece of this age. This sweet antique settee was recently brought in to my shop in Pennsylvania. It is an eye popping double take kind of vintage furniture. Miniature settee measures only approx 27" tall and 30" long and was intended for a small child(too large for dolls I think) The wood is a chippy shelac of some sort of light wood. Obviously vintage however I don't know how old it is exactly. Upholstered in a lace trimmed light pink stripe which is quite dirty. Antique Victorian Eastlake Rocker Loveseat Settee Great Wood Carvings Upholstery Need a couple of nice Victorian pieces for those finishing touches in a room. Do not miss these pieces. Recently picked them up at an auction. The wood on these pieces is just beautiful. Probably made in the 1880s to 1890s. I think the wood type is mahogany. But may be walnut, you be the judge. The carvings and scrollings are all still intact and were nicely done. The rocker was certainly used more than the settee and shows wear on the arms to the finish. On the left side of the settee the frame has a split in it that was corrected sometime quite a while ago. There is a bolt thru the repair that was not a part of the original piece. See the pic. I picked this piece up in the condition it is in, so cannot speak to when it was reupholstered, but it was done well ... moreand with a material that is very attractive and heavy, no flimsy stuff here. The pieces are all still tightly together at the joints. The rocker still has both its' springs. The roller wheels are both on the settee's front legs. The rocker is 39.25" tall. By 24.5" across, by 24.5" wide. The loves eat/settee is 40.25" tall. By 48" across, by 23" wide. Sorry. The other items you can see in the pics are not for sale. Victorian Walnut Triple Back Tufted Oval Medallion Back Settee CIRCA 1890
Up for sale is an exquisite gem from the late 1800's! This piece is absolutely stunning with its walnut wood carved detailing around the back and center oval"medallion" This settee is sure to make your home look very elegant and will add so much character and charm to any room of choice. This piece seems to have an"attitude" as it is guaranteed to stand out from anything else! The upholstery work is pure perfection! It is a somewhat"rough" silky texture. From pictures and from a distance it looks very very pale pink. But if you look closely at one of the pictures listed that had the flash on, you will notice that it is actually a sheen cream color. The upholstery is very much A+++ quality(not cheap,and hard to find) it's thick and very durable(not that you'd be rough housing with this piece) but that ... moreis something one should always look out for! As far as any defects to the wood work. There are no major ones, maybe a few light scuffs here or there but nothing major. When you sit on the settee you sort of"sink" slightly, but that is common in these older pieces. The whole piece is very sturdy. Although the back slightly moves if you physically take your hand and push it back and forth, nothing to be alarmed about though! Keep in mind that it is over 120 years old, I think anyone's back at that age will have a little wear! Haha! Attractive early period settee in solid condition. Thickly tufted back rests and nicely cushioned seat. This is really comfortable to sit in. Wood frame seems to be maple and the construction is all firm. Lots of carved floral detail in the wood and deeply etched details on the arms. The fabric on the front is a greenish pink and beige hue No major rips or tears anywhere on the fabric but the sides do show some signs of wear and right side is missing some of the trim detail to the fabric. The vintage pink fabric is in good condition showing some fading. From being exposed to the sun. Their no rips or tears, but could use a light cleaning. Antique Victorian Walnut Settee 1870's Era
This is a Victorian Settee 1870's Era in Fine Condition. Professionally restored. A beautiful piece of furniture made of solid walnut with original glass castors and horsehair padding. In the restoration, the wood was steamed apart and original dowels retained. The animal hide glue used then. Was replaced with modern glue. It is covered and tuffed in a lovely soft pattern of green. It measures 60 3/4" wide. The seat is 18" deep. And is 18" high from the floor. The height from the floor to the top of the carved ball is 40 1/2" It displays well. And would accent any living room or parlor. I have personally owned this piece for over 25 years.

Here we have for offer a good Victorian mahogany Chesterfield style mahogany three seater settee dating to the second half of the 19th century. This good sized sofa has a well padded back with scrolled arms over a sprung seat being raised on mahogany turned legs with later castors. Condition wise the back and arms are fine being well stuffed and padded. The seat is comfortable but little soft in places although the springs have not gone and just need a little tightening and padding.
